Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

Good afternoon Campers

Glad you had a good birthday @Ninkaninus

sorry about your car woes @athelstane

@chipping - If you;re taking in the neighbours then I think I'm the local launderette....

B- Sausage, BAcon and Mushrooms
L - Salad and meats and feta
D - Sheet pan chicken, round 2

Right lovely people must get on. Water to be drunk etc etc

1Wildheartsease · 23/05/2019 14:26

Don't worry Greebol - some must be fat. Apparently we all have fat deep inside (around organs) too and that is the worst stuff for our health.

Getting rid of it doesn't always show straight away but I think that your organs will be piping more happily without it.

chocolateavocado99 · 23/05/2019 14:32

Woke up this morning to find my pj pants kept falling down. I weighed myself and was 149.8...yay for getting out of the 150s! MFP also tells me that I am halfway to my goal!
Got dressed and needed a belt for my trousers. Dd2 kept laughing saying they looked funny...so of to the charity shop they will go. I really don't suit the clown bunched up trouser look!
And then my day got worse. Ended up with breaded chicken for lunch as the canteen switched from grilled chicken...picked it off best I could, but as I only go there once a week, I was annoyed.
Multiple computer problems tonight led to tears and some 90% dark chocolate. It was either that or vodka.
KOKO....and repeat!

Amused by image of Almahart and her feeling dowdy in a one piece on Greece. Not laughing at you, just appreciating the relatable feeling.

Ninkaninus · 23/05/2019 14:41

Greebol don’t get bogged down in too much analysis - it doesn’t matter whether it’s water loss, glycogen stores, or fat burning - It’s all part of the process and your body is doing what it’s supposed to do. A lot of it on the woe is learning to trust the process, even if you don’t quite understand the science behind it.

Well done on your 8lb loss! 👍 Enjoy that victory and focus on that progress, rather than second guessing or worrying.

Why not read up on some of the science and the rest of the resources (you’ll find it in tabs on the spreadsheet of fabulousness) to help you in feeling confident about the health benefits of the woe?

avocado well done on that NSV!

ShagMeRiggins · 23/05/2019 15:05

Greebols, yeah, what they said.

Got me thinking that when we go through puberty there’s a lot going on inside that eventually shows up on the outside (hair, breasts, voice changes, scents, etc). It’s not like In Month One of Puberty you will see these changes. In Month Two...

It’s all a process and because we’ve assigned arbitrary measurements such as pounds and inches, we rely on them too heavily and assume they synchronise. They don’t. An 8lb loss doesn’t necessarily correlate to an inch around the waist.

Sometimes it works this way. Many have reported that it seems to be a dress size per stone, roughly. But not always. Just enjoy the food you’re eating and keep enjoying all NSVs.

Almahart · 23/05/2019 15:16

shag I was only young then too (relatively)

Lunch was M&S prawns and hm coleslaw- was yum but just nipped out for some cheese and biltong as felt snacky

Quite nervous about my camping weekend!

blackteaplease · 23/05/2019 15:33

Me too @Almahart. I've just stocked up on olives and babybel but it's goingto be hard to resist all temptation for 3 nights. I'm co siders g taking my peppermint tea for an evening drink that isnt wine.

SittingontheSidelines · 23/05/2019 15:48

So much to read. I've just caught up again but can't remember who said what. So Happy 44th for yesterday, commiserations with broken car (we've got that problem too) loving all the confident bikini wearers, that plate of lunch looked GOOD, some tempting menus, and lots of falling down trousers. Brilliant.
I have nothing exciting to add to that so will just get on with posting my food.

Breakfast. Yogurt (very much token gesture, looking forward to no breakfast next week)
Lunch. Slice ham, chunk of iceberg, cucumber, mayo.
Dinner (will be) salmon. Kale sautéed in butter and asparagus.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 23/05/2019 15:58

Greebo you may not have lost inches from where you're measuring though. I've lost no inches and no lbs so far, but I'm doing my watch up on the next hole and I'm not muffining over the top of my jeans anymore. Neither of which circumferences I bothered to measure when I started Hmm.

Bright news: loan money has come through, so barring a repeat of Monday, I should be sorted again tomorrow.

Brighter news: am back on Halo behaviour today and by God my body feels nicer for it already. I'm genuinely coming to believe the feeling of physical wellbeing I get on this WOE is worth more to me than any weight loss.

Brightest news: have been mowing and weeding and hacking at the garden, so am absolved from any formal exercise for at least the next 7 days.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 23/05/2019 16:00

Nor did I wrap a tape measure around my fat face, come to think of it, but that's definitely looking sharper in the mirror as well.

venusandmars · 23/05/2019 16:08

I think that sometimes I lose weight and other times things in my body sort of consolidate and I lose inches. I also have a NSV with my watch - a strap that used to leave deep indentations is now loose around my wrist Smile

I'm off to collect my car from the car-mending shop. Luckily it's within walking distance, and achieves my steps for the day. Just a bit anxious about how much lighter my bank account will be!

ShagMeRiggins · 23/05/2019 16:12

I like to measure my neck. It’s medium - short, so any result there makes me feel joyous.

Great news about the loan, Athelstane.

I’ve been enjoying a hugely productive day off with masses of cleaning and personal admin. Not exciting, but oh the feeling of smugness when tedious tasks are completed.

A few more admin bits to get through, then making a chicken pot roast with bacon and celery (and carrots and potatoes that I will not eat), then perhaps a Bath & Glam before pub quiz tonight, or perhaps a Bath & Glam & Schlump On Sofa.

I am determined to be LCHF Perfection this coming weekend so I can record a Bank Holiday Monday loss. Halo

ShagMeRiggins · 23/05/2019 16:16

Update: smugness vanished in the blink of an eye—third child informs me I forgot to sign up for his Parent Consultations at school, which are taking place as I type. Utter failure. Blush

I have never made it to a single one of these for secondary school. Maybe a bit too keen to infuse them with independence? Hmm

Will contemplate whilst downing water. Aaaaah...

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/05/2019 16:21

Thanks all. I am doing both my belt and watch up on tighter holes, actually - could've gone one more on my belt this morning in fact (didn't as jeans would've looked ridiculous). Hence why I was bit surprised not to have lost any inches!

What does NSV mean please?

Rshard · 23/05/2019 16:24

Another busy day on the thread! Caught up and sending Flowers, Halo and 👍 to be applied as necessary. I think it’s fab that we’re all sticking to the woe (mostly) despite the stresses that life sends our way.

I swerved the cakes and pastries and uni and lunch was surprising good with a baked chicken dish and salad.

Rshard · 23/05/2019 16:24

NSV is non scales victory greebols, so a compliment or taking your belt in a notch etc

prettybird · 23/05/2019 16:34

Boo about the car Athelstane but yay for the loan Smile

ChippingInLowCarbing · 23/05/2019 17:12

Athelstane 😖 oh no, poor old car. Fingers crossed the loan comes through and you can find enough pennies under the settee cushions to pay for the other expenses 🤞🏼

But as you say, it could have been a lot worse, much to be thankful for 🌷
Water, buttery leafy greens and protein, it’ll all come right on that score.

Nink. 🎉 Happy Birthday for yesterday you did well to stay on track 💐

Youwanapizzame 🤣 I was going to say the whole streets!

Greebols what they said ^

I hate not seeing results immediately and because of the damn ‘vegetarian no eggs diabetic god knows what else thing’, my process is different & slower, but I’ve finally learnt to accept that and have some patience with it, without worrying that I’m not getting the same results as other people. It’s a process. Look at last week, you doubted it, then lost a lot! You’re only measuring a few places on your body, you might be like me (poor you 😖🤣) and lose it from other places than those you’ve measured. Try using tight fitting clothes that are tight all over not just on your bust or waist. And as someone else mentioned, you’ll have fat all around your organs, it might have started going from there first and if it has, that’s brilliant. That’s the dangerous stuff, so the outside fat will take longer to show the differences.

Look for other changes in your body, but also in your sleep, alertness, energy etc

Have faith. Stick to it & it’ll work 🌷

It’s a process, don’t get hung up on the measuring & weighing.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/05/2019 17:24

Thank you ChippingInLowCarbing. I am feeling better generally - sleeping better, more alert and energetic, etc.

I just really really want to be thin by the time my play opens!

ChippingInLowCarbing · 23/05/2019 17:40

Althelstane. Great news about the loan! Good luck for tomorrow.

The NSV’s for me are more important - the weight loss is a bonus (but adds to the NSV’s as that helps with BG & BP), just feeling healthier is great.

shagmeriggins it’s good to see you 😊. Don’t worry about the teacher-parent evening, they’ll only tell you what you already know ‘Child 3 is a delight/pain in the arse and doing well/could do better’. If there’s a problem they’ll soon let you know!

Bask in the glory of a day where you’ve accomplished loads. I wish I lived near you, I do love a Pub Quiz (sadly no one else does 🙄) or if it’s easier to avoid temptation give it a miss & have a bath - you can’t go too far wrong there - and schlump!

Grebols. Honestly, what are you like! 🤣🤣. You’ve taken your watch strap and belt in and lost weight on the scales. God woman 🙄😂. You’re Doing Very Well 🌷

ChippingInLowCarbing · 23/05/2019 17:41

When does it open and how many pounds away is ‘thin’?

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/05/2019 18:03

Sorry! Blush

It's just that this is the first professional acting job I've had in more years than I want to admit and there's going to be casting people and agents at some of the performances. Now, it's unlikely that out of the entire cast they're going to pick out the middle aged woman playing the maid, ^but there's a slightly better chance of this happening if I'm thin.
^
But I don't really know what constitutes thin for me. I'm curvy with massive boobs. I used to be an hourglass but post children I'm more of a top-heavy apple, if you can imagine such a thing. If I could get my waist back, I'd be happy.

Opening night is 27th June. If I can get down to 11.5 stone, that'd be ok. 11 stone would be brilliant. Any more than that is a fantastic bonus. I'm not expecting miracles though - the lightest I've been was 10.5 stone and that was for my wedding over a decade ago. And I dieted for a year to get to that!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 23/05/2019 18:07

Oh, and I was 12.1 on Monday. So another 8lbs by the end of June would be great!

MrsBertBibby · 23/05/2019 19:10

Good news Athelstan! Hope you are mobile again pronto.

In OMG news I have just tried Taifun basil tofu. It's GORGEOUS! That will help keep the cheese down a bit!
