Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

starsky I am a name changer. I was previously a furry marsupial Grin

Heartyhooker · 22/05/2019 19:19

Had a lovely morning watching ds2 in local talent show which was non competitive. Still in shock my nine year old would get up and sing in front of three hundred other people. Behind on water so catching up now.
B coffee
L yoghurt and buttered ham
T saga paneer with korma spice powder extra chilli and loads of mushrooms

anewdispensation · 22/05/2019 19:24

I am drinking lots of water and hitting 3L a day but I find I’m very very thirsty all the time and I even wake up at night with a parched throat. I take salt and electrolytes. Is this a side effect of being in ketosis and will it settle down? The plus side is my skin is the best it’s ever been with all the water and veg I’m wolfing down

prettybird · 22/05/2019 19:36

ChippingIn - I think I never thought to categorise myself as the message was to like the body you have which I do Grin

Now my weight on the other hand.....Wink

Don't get me wrong, I prefer it when I'm lighter and my stomach is flatter Wink - but I'm not going to go put my life on pause in the interim. And I'll wear a bikini if I want to Grin

Youwanapizzame · 22/05/2019 19:50

@brassicababe I got the bratwurst from aldi this week and they are 0.6g of carbs each! And yum yum yummy. Well worth it.

My sheet pan chicken is in the oven , recipe from blog "all day I dream about food" it's got brussel sprouts and cauliflower in it and I might serve with creamed leeks. Or just pan fry them. It's got to be good, it has bacon in it.

What are our thoughts on sesame seed oil? It said no carbs..... I'll report back on the recipe

Youwanapizzame · 22/05/2019 19:51

I saw a meme on FB the other day saying we all have an ironing board stomach, but some of us have a bite of an ironing pile!!! 😂😁😂🤣

Nyon · 22/05/2019 19:57

Urgh I have properly skipped out on this thread over the last few days - a hideous confrontation with my boss that left me in tears and a frantic sort out for an interview for tomorrow has meant I haven’t attempted to keep up. I have however stayed on track but didn’t manage breakfast til 11am. Sorry BIWI

tootstastic · 22/05/2019 20:20

This echoes in my head every time I feel like throwing in the towel....

Nyon Sad work stress is the pits. I was doing really well last year and got down to 89kg, and —arsehole boss— major work stress led to months of stress eating, coupled with cortisol flooding my body from the stress, coupled with having to go on steroids, and here I am at 102kg at the start of this boot camp.

I’ve always liked the visual motivation of ketostix, but I know BIWI says if you are drinking enough they shouldn’t be registering high ketones.

Batshittery Hello! I remember you, along with lots of other long term posters. Waves to PrettyBird

Today’s food:

B: Decaf Coffee with almond milk
About 600ml of red berry tea
L: roast chicken and crunchy salad in coriander & lime dressing
PM: homemade egg mayo with spring onions. Another decaf coffee with almond milk
Late dinner: bowl of hm bolognese sauce

Rshard · 22/05/2019 20:39

Thanks for the meatzza intel alma, I had been looking with the pizza rather than the meat!

Youwanapizzame · 22/05/2019 20:52

Omg dinner was lush all buttery and juicy and a little but if a char on some of the veg. Dh is out tomorrow night so I can eat the rest by myself! Mmmmmm.

I took a pic but it never loads properly from my phone.

FizzyPink · 22/05/2019 21:02

Could I please be added to the sheet. Slightly late starter, started on Monday and weighed in at 137lb today although the scales in the gym were going all over the place so have taken a photo in a bikini I’m not overly happy with the fit of and will take another each week to see my progress :)

TheWayOfTheWorld · 22/05/2019 21:05

Doesn't look as pretty as @Ninkaninus food pictures but my dinner tonight of pulled pork, coleslaw and buttery (charred) broccoli was 😋. Currently sipping sparkling water out of a champagne flute Grin

Thanks, ChippingIn! Yes, you’re right, I wasn’t drinking enough yesterday and it was also FMU so I guess both added to the depth of colour. I’ve managed to drink lots today and for the first time I feel able to consume the amount of water I should be having. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll still show as being in Keto but mid range colour wise.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 22/05/2019 21:06

Thanks to @Nyon and @NigellaAwesome - hopefully this boot camp will help kickstart things for you.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 22/05/2019 21:17

I'm still on it - not weighing myself but I can tell my stomach is considerably less horrid. Feeling very positive - only blips have been a couple of glasses of red wine, which I'm not worrying about because I'm on week 3.

Sadly I still want to be thin right now!

REAL positive - already using my asthma inhaler less frequently!

SittingontheSidelines · 22/05/2019 21:26

Breakfast yogurt
Lunch left over curry with leaves and yogurt
Dinner. Roast turkey thigh roast mushrooms. 5 cherry tomatoes. Stick of celery. Mayo. Splash of olive oil.

Rayna37 · 22/05/2019 21:30

Back into a normal routine today:
B: 2 scrambled eggs
Babybel
L: tuna mayo salad (spinach and little gem, tomato, cucumber, with oil) I bought tuna in olive oil which I don't recall seeing before. I needed less mayo than I would have added to drained tuna in brine and it was pretty good! Finished with yogurt. Did have a couple of chippy chips I was offered in the office.
Bite of cheese then fajita style chicken for Dinner: chicken breast in a homemade fajita mix which is low carb, shallots, green and red pepper, courgette and mushrooms, all cooked in the seasoning and coconut oil. Served with grated cheese and a dollop of creme fraiche, always a favourite.
About right on water.

Nyon · 22/05/2019 21:31

Thanks Nigella and TheWay I’ll admit to be utterly desperate yesterday when it all kicked off for a toffee crisp but I resisted my boss will not get the better of me

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 22/05/2019 21:56

B: two frankfurters and an egg, all fried in butter.
L: leftover tuna mayo, Greek yoghurt with cream
D: rump steak with courgetti, tendersteam broccoli and mushrooms, cooked in garlic butter.

I need to pay more attention to my appetite. Didn't feel hungry for lunch till about 2pm, but then needed something quick before the school run, so scoffed the tuna mayo. It wasn't a big portion, so I thought (note: thought not felt) I was still hungry and ate a couple of spoonfuls of yoghurt with cream. I then felt uncomfortably full for a couple of hours afterwards, so clearly didn't need it.

starsky22 · 22/05/2019 23:26

Just catching up on the thread

Some great advice from ninkaninus

Someone asked about staying motivated... I struggle when I'm not losing weight, but weight loss on this diet isn't linear, often you hold onto weight for a few days/weeks (or even months - just ask cherries) and then get a maasive woosh over night, 2 or 3 lbs suddenly gone just like that! So, if I'm not losing weight i remind myself that my woosh could be just round the corner and if i fall of the wagon it's definitely not going to come!

youwanapizzame can't wait to see the after photo!

pretty hello there! I wish i had your confidence, my tummy is my problem area and even at my least weight i didn't feel great in a bikini

batshittery think I've worked it out, hey there and love the new name!

anewdispensation I've got that too, drinking tons, yet constantly thirsty! I seem to remember that it calms down after a while

nyon well done staying on track, its not easy, I had a stressful few months with work and it led to me eating all my emotions, so know how you feel nigella

wasgoingmad that's a great NSV!

So my food for the day:
B courgette & bacon egg muffins
L pork chop with celeriac mash, spinach & broccoli
D leftover lamb shoulder with broccoli

I've got lunch sorted for work tomorrow, but not sure about breakfast. Wondering if a coffee will be enough.

m0therofdragons · 22/05/2019 23:29

Bring and share at work tomorrow Blush

I'm planning to have some cheese to be polite but have veggies cooked in butter left over from tonight so will subtly eat my normal lunch. We have a colleague who is running it (constantly nagging demanding to know what food we're bringing). She had a "jokey" go at my boss for not joining in (he'll be at a meeting 2 hours away but even if he wasn't, he's on a very specialist diet due to a health scare which is really private and she won't take the hint to fuck off). I'm providing strawberries (because i ordered them for dc in tonight's shop and need no prep!) colleague is large and a real feeder. Need to stay strong (I'm unlikely to cave but might swear at her and she's actually very lovely and generous but unaware of where the line is).... ooh that's a good vent GrinShock

m0therofdragons · 22/05/2019 23:32

@starsky22 I've never felt comfortable in a bikini even at 9st. I think I could be super model size and still feel fat (at 5ft 4.5 I don't think super model size is actually possible)

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 23/05/2019 00:02

I think I'm finally not feeling hungry, had my first thing to eat at nearly 1pm..
B.coffee and cream
L yoghurt, boiled egg and salad with salmon
D. More port steak, spring greens, green beans and leeks

We've got pulled pork for Saturday, I have no idea what to put with it, everything for pulled pork marinade is sweet!

Summery1 · 23/05/2019 00:24

B: eggs royale on a portobello mushroom. (Eggs with hollandaise and salmon)
L: Chicken drumstick
D: Chicken and broccoli
I need to up my veg, I'm eating a lot of meat. I was a bit tired today and had family stuff. I need to up my prep.

Still my mum was here in the afternoon having tea and fruit cake but I didn't indulge.
