Low Carb Bootcamp - the end of the line!

Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness, waiting for the results from your Scales of Truth!

Hopefully the final weigh-in is a good one for you all.

Although this is the end of this Bootcamp, it's not the end of the chat - so not the end of support, advice and general chit chattery!

So don't despair if you haven't reached your target. Keep going and reporting in here. The Big Stick will be rested in the cupboard for a while, but you can keep checking in here.

Well done 1st! I'm drawing a line, yet to stand on the scales but I'm anticipating a big post-hol gain, kickstarting things with a 32 hour fast (had breakfast this morning and don't plan on eating til tea tomorrow). Looking forward to getting back on it and to not breaking wind every 30 minutes Blush.

I'm just putting this out there so I feel accountable: my next goal is to be in the 11s by the first June weigh-in.

BrassicaBabe · 14/04/2019 13:14

I did not stick to any of my holiday rules Sad 7lbs on.

I can't say "one week on, one ween off" either as I said that at Xmas and it took 3 months!

Anyway, the plan is for water, exercise and various fasting lengths.

Heartyhooker · 14/04/2019 14:19

Aldi do packs of small single origin chocolate bars. Eeach bar is 6.7g of carbs and I usually give half to OH. Very good quality and too rich and bitter to binge

SummerSazz · 14/04/2019 14:30

Well done @1stMrsF for two stones off - that's amazing 👏

@BrassicaBabe what is done is done and you will move on from it. I've managed to put on 6lbs overnight so 7lb a week is amateur Wink

I've dropped one of my two gained this morning so hopefully the other will be gone by tomorrow. Been to Wagamama's with the kids and had pad Thai salad which was lovely and lots of water.

Camping next weekend so need to plan well....

MiniCooperLover · 14/04/2019 17:13

I haven't been awful carb wise and I haven't been 100% carb free but I'm aware of what's going wrong. Easter Holidays with DS off school has made it a bit tricky but the scales are at least staying still for me. I saw 12st12 for the first time in a long time last weekend (14st a year ago - menopausal and pure apple and 46 so lots fighting against me). Back on track tomorrow with proper menu planning 👍

SummerSazz · 14/04/2019 22:22

Back to work tomorrow and the 6am Pilates alarm. Need to get back into the swing of it now.
Have booked a holiday to Kos today but not till the end of Aug but as I'm also away in June hopefully an early and late summer break will keep me on the straight and narrow.

Aw he’s so cute I want a go

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/04/2019 16:15

Haven't RTFT (but have looked at the cute kanga picture!) and I just wanted to say I didn't come back for the last weigh in because I was away.

I have lost close to 20 pounds since I started and I wanted to thank you @BIWI and everyone else for the threads and the accountability. I will be on the Bootcamp in May and I expect a big stick. In my case dairy and alcohol sticks.

Thanks so much!

1Wildheartsease · 15/04/2019 16:46

Minicooperlover - we sound to be on a similar trail :) I'm 12st13lb an apple and heading into menopause. The WOE really does seem to work - just slowly - and there is much to be said for being older, having older children... and (in theory sometimes) more time to look after me!

Yes MrsTerryPratchet dairy and wine are sooooo enticing. Moderation is hard.

Siameasy · 15/04/2019 16:54

Wooooo Mrs Terry 20lb excellent
I agree about dairy. I find it addictive
As for booze I only drink about 4 x a year because I can’t bear hangovers
I’ve lost a stone since Jan which doesn’t sound much but I’m well within BMI (by 8lb) so I’m now losing a pound a month😂😂😂😂

1Wildheartsease · 15/04/2019 19:50

Fantastic weightloss MrsTP !
Might you be down another few pounds by May?

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/04/2019 20:03

A stone is loads Siam! I'm going to try KOKO until May and see where we end up!

SummerSazz · 16/04/2019 14:22

Struggling to lose the extra 2 holiday lbs at the mo. Have been doing morning Pilates and fasting till lunchtime. Hoping to swim later to kick start something Grin

Doilooklikeatourist · 16/04/2019 19:34

Wanders back onto Bootcamp , well done to the losers 👍
I’ve had a great weekend , socially but rubbish low carb wise
So fasted today , then had turkey steak with fajita spice and loads of green veg , some creme fraiche and avocado
Less than 2 weeks til we go on holiday , and still got 7lb to lose
No pressure

Had the best 'snack' in the world this week (I know we don't need snacks but I was having 'crunch' envy at the weekend when everyone else was munching on crisps or pate on biscuits. So I had these M&S crackling crisps topped with M&S brussels pate. Wonderful.

And thanks to whoever posted about lo-dough. I'm not big on wraps etc but sometimes I really fancy a nice pizza, and haven't yet ventured into the cauliflower dough experiment. Tonight I had a lo-dough pizza base, dh had a garlic focaccia base, both topped with tomato, mozzarella, olives, salami, mushrooms. Yum yum.

venusandmars · 16/04/2019 21:21

Been hovering around the same weight, which is my BB aim. So 1lb on / 1lb off which I guess is what maintenance is about.

Siameasy · 16/04/2019 21:43

I like the Mand S crackling straws. Our butcher does actual crackling, just skin and salt...I’ve had to stop buying it🙈

NSV today - kind of. I ordered a load of dresses off ASOS thinking I am a 12. Well they were a load of sacks!!! Yet based on measurements I am a 12🤔 disappointing, confusing but also pleasing!

m0therofdragons · 16/04/2019 22:27

1lb on after a weekend with my parents. I'm taking that as a success back on it today so hoping to see good results by the weekend.

1stMrsF · 16/04/2019 23:16

@venusandmars I’ve had two M&S train picnics this week and looked longingly at those crackling crisps - I should have tried them. That sounds perfect for maintaining if that’s what you are are trying to achieve!

@Siameasy the butcher’s crackling sounds amazing and the ASOS dresses are a wonder, well done!

@m0therofdragons well done and fingers crossed for a good week

@Doilooklikeatourist good luck for the holiday. Well done @MrsTerryPratchett

to @BIWI and the kangas

Just back from a city break where pasta and bread featured. Not sure what the scales will say in the morning and although I plan back to it there is nothing in the fridge so need to get something on the way to work tomorrow...but overall pleased with the way I feel about this woe fitting into real life rather than 'breaking' the diet.

KOKO

m0therofdragons · 17/04/2019 10:05

I had a boot camp basics day yesterday which appears to have balanced out 24 hours of sugar at my parent's house. I've lost the 1lb I put on (presuming that was water retention) and another lb has come off too. I'm now officially lower than I was after last summer's boot camp. I'm keen to get in the 9s but 7lbs off that target. Every lb is a bonus now. I'm conducting interviews at the start of May so next aim is to comfortably get into my lk Bennett business dress. I can wear it just about now but it's not very forgiving!

I saw some friends yesterday who I'd not seen in a while and thought they may comment on my stone and a half loss but nope. Only one even bothered asking how I am and one passive aggressively put me down. My life is good right now with fab husband (which my friends seem to hate as their dhs are shit) and my job is going brilliantly since I was promoted last September. Not that they would know that. I have other friends thank god but I am left wondering if any of them like or even know me. I've felt distance from them for a while so it's just confirming what I felt. Oh well, time to focus on those who give a crap!

m0therofdragons · 17/04/2019 10:05

Sorry for self indulgent post Blush

Doilooklikeatourist · 17/04/2019 10:26

Do you know what mOther I’ve got friends like that too
It really annoys me , sometimes you get a token “ nice to see you , how are you “ then there’s a 20 minute waffle about them
Well done by the way , you look fab and I’m so jealous of the LK Bennet dress 😀
I lost a lb yesterday too 👍
KOKO

1Wildheartsease · 17/04/2019 10:26

Not self-indulgent mOtherofdragons - true friends should celebrate your successes, whatever their own situations. Well done on KOKO with this WOE.

m0therofdragons · 17/04/2019 10:36

Yay @Doilooklikeatourist downwards is always good. Lk Bennett dress is years old and was in the sales but it's still lovely.

Individually the friends are good but the more we're all working as dc grow up the less we see each other and end up only meeting as a big group. I don't think I'm a big group kind of person.
