Low Carb Bootcamp - the end of the line!

Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness, waiting for the results from your Scales of Truth!

Hopefully the final weigh-in is a good one for you all.

Although this is the end of this Bootcamp, it's not the end of the chat - so not the end of support, advice and general chit chattery!

So don't despair if you haven't reached your target. Keep going and reporting in here. The Big Stick will be rested in the cupboard for a while, but you can keep checking in here.

Thanks @BIWI and the rest you for all your support over the last couple of Bootcamps.

Well I did it, 2.4lbs off, so as of this morning I’ve lost 4 stones! That’s equivalent to 250 decks of cards apparently http://www.bluebulbprojects.com/MeasureOfThings/results.php?comp=weight&unit=st&amt=4&sort=pr&p=6

Starting weight: 18st 10lbs (262lbs)
Weight now: 14st 9.8lbs (205.8lbs)
Lost so far: 4st 0.2lbs (56.2lbs)
Lost this bootcamp: 1st 6lbs (20lbs)
Target: 9st 5lbs (131lbs)
Left to lose: 5st 4.8lbs (74.8lbs)

I discovered an old MFP app and the last weight I entered on there was in Jan 2017 and I was a stone heavier than this starting weight...19st 10lbs!! So I’ve really lost 5 stones since then, but 4 stones since starting the October 2018 bootcamp.

I’m feeling so much better in myself, down from a tight size 20-22 to a comfortable size 16. I’m going to the gym for yoga, pilates or body balance 5 or 6 times a week. I somehow need to introduce some cardio and weights, so that’s going to be my challenge before the next bootcamp.

Until then, remember it’s business as usual!

May the scales be kind to you all today.

BIWI · 25/03/2019 06:46

That's fantastic @tootstastic! Flowers

That's amazing, tootstastic and in such a short space of time too! You're a marvel!

Rshard · 25/03/2019 06:51

Wow @toots! You’ve done so well!

I’ve lost a grand total of 4lbs, not as much as I’d have liked but I’ve been circling round my goal for a while now and continue to do so! I’ll be hanging around until the next boot camp for sure. I’ve dowloaded a new app which shows a downward trend alongside daily weigh ins - happy scale if anyone interested?

How’re you @doilooikeatourist?

Thanks @BIWI for all your hard work and everyone who contributes to the threads

MrsKoala · 25/03/2019 07:17

OMG Toots. That is fantastic!! You have worked so hard over what is such a short space of time.

Disappointingly I have put on 3lb this week (I haven't cheated once - I think it's the cold I have distorting it and I have been lazy and living off cheese). So that's a grand total of 8lbs and not quite in the 11s but close. More pleasingly I have lost 3inches off my waist an 2 off my hips and thighs.

I'm 7lb off my goal weight and would like to lose 2 more inches all over so i'll be koko.

Well done everyone for sticking with it. It's been a more emotional BC this time for me so big thank yous for the words of kindness and support and especially thank you to BIWI and all contributers (The spreadsheet is so clever I am convinced it's black magic!)

Doilooklikeatourist · 25/03/2019 07:45

Morning all ,
Rshard I’m your weight loss twin , I’ve also lost the grand total of 4 lb !
Start weight this Bootcamp 11st 1
Final weight 10st 11
I started in October at 11 st 10 , so nowhere near as impressive as toots but I’m still very pleased
Thanks BIWI for the guidance and the occasional telling off

Rshard · 25/03/2019 07:50

We certainly are @doilooklikeatourist! I started at 11,2 and finished at 10, 12!

venusandmars · 25/03/2019 08:59

I stayed the same, which is fine after a weekend away. Must have been the wild dancing that meant I didn't put anything on!

Overall that's 11 pounds off since start of bootcamp. I'm really pleased with that, it's 6lb that crept back on at the end of last year, plus an additional 5lb. More importantly for me is that my blood pressure is in a better place. Plus I feel generally more 'zesty' and active. The only negative is that my skin seems to be a mess, lots of low level spots on my face.

I'll be keeping on with this woe, to maintain my current weight, and hopefully to maintain a healthier blood pressure. Thanks @BIWI and everyone on here for a great thread and lots of lovely recipes.

Final recording of food for the day:
B - avocado
L - egg mayonnaise, salad
D - salmon, creamed spinach, oven roasted tomatoes

Morning boot camp survivors! Firstly well done everyone, for amazing weight-loss and inch-loss and determined KOKO. @toots you are an inspiration!

My one big regret: I didn't take a full range of measurements or body fat% before I started. But here are the stats I have:
Starting weight 206lbs (14st 10lb)
Finish weight 181.6 (12st 13.6lb) Yes! Squeaked into the 12s!
Total loss 24lbs (1st, 10lbs or 10.9kg) which is over 11% of my body weight. Smashed my second mini goal (10%)
Started bursting out of all of my size 16-18 clothes, finished with size 16s hanging off me, wearing some 14s.
Waist reduced from 105cm to 90cm (waist height ratio reduced from 0.65 to 0.56)

I can't begin to express how thrilled I am with these results. I had tried and failed to lose weight so many times and for the first time ever I think I can actually keep going and get to a healthy weight.

Thank you very much, to @BIWI, @AthelstanetheUnready and @StuntNun for your advice, motivation and ideas to keep us all on track, and thank you to everyone for posting tips, recipes, highs and lows, I couldn't have done it without you. .

I am sticking around and working towards my next goal and beyond.

BIWI · 25/03/2019 09:55

Well done @1stMrsF! Star

And absolutely agree - thank you times a million for the help, support and general company of @AthelstaneTheUnready and @StuntNun.

I'll second that! This thread and the members have been inspiring and supportive.
I've lost a lb this week and just teetering on 70kg and this is the smallest I've been since 2010!
I'll definitely be hanging around till the next bootcamp as I have a further 10kg to lose.

BIWI · 25/03/2019 12:03

Just looking at the spreadsheet, there are some great losses, and many of them from people who obviously just lurk! So well done to all of you too Star Flowers

But @tootstastic has clearly won this Bootcamp, with a 21.45% total percentage loss!!!

Well done tootstastic! That is incredible!

Mandelinka · 25/03/2019 16:53

Dear all, well done for crossing the finish line and congratulations on all the incredible losses.
Thanks @BIWI for all your time dedicated to the thread and everyone who contributes!

I’ve been more or less quiet last few weeks and not contributed much ( holidays, MIL diagnosed with cancer etc ) but did my best to stick to this WOE as mush as possible.
My total loss is 8.5 lbs which is about half of my goal.
I need to refocus and get on the wagon properly again as I really enjoy LCHF food, I’m def going to be checking this thread often.

Once more thanks everyone for their company and see you around!
KoKo ladies x

MiniCooperLover · 25/03/2019 20:22

Well done everyone !! 8lb down for me after 3 weeks on the plan, I'll definitely keep on with everything. Just had a chicken breast stuffed with Philadelphia, wrapped in Parma ham and some veg on the side. Delicious and so filling 👍

Wasabiaddiction · 25/03/2019 21:07

Started at 240lb and now 222lb.

Most of that loss was in the first half of boot camp. I seem to have stalled this past month.

Need to get my mojo back as I am determined to keep this up for the rest of the year. I think my downfall is portion sizes and cheese snacking which I need to address.

Tootastic - you are my inspiration.

BIWi - thank you so much for the effort you put into helping complete strangers change their lives.

Siameasy · 25/03/2019 21:26

Well done everyone
toots you’re brilliant
13lb off for me.

So recently my performance has been sub par at the gym - cardio this morning was fasted and my legs were leaden
We got a take away curry tonight so I ordered two poppadums. I ate one-yeah it was nice but I kind of felt a bit intoxicated and not in a good way. The second poppadum is sat on the side, I’m not sure I even want it.

tootstastic · 25/03/2019 21:55

Omg...first chance to read since the crack of dawn this morning. Thank you lovelies for all the words of encouragement. You are all stars.

And @BIWI, much as I did a little dance inside, Blush I don't think I can claim the % prize this bootcamp as my 21% includes the October bootcamp and the gap in between too! I've only lost 20lbs this bootcamp.

Loving reading all the stats, what a force to be reckoned with we are! Biwi's (not so) Badasses Grin

Siameasy · 25/03/2019 22:46

Happy to report the 2nd poppadum went in the bin. Decided they were over rated and weirdly they tasted far too sweet

Dia12 · 26/03/2019 09:44

Still pretty good going @toots, did you stay fairly strictly on this woe in between boot camps?

👍🏼 on ditching the 2nd poppadum @Siameasy, bootcamp has made me disciplined for the first time ever - went to a party on weekend and only ate HALF a macaron!! Still can't believe it!!

Dia12 · 26/03/2019 09:45

When does next bootcamp start btw?

W0rriedMum · 26/03/2019 09:46

When does next bootcamp start btw?
Would love to know the same! Especially one for newbies.

ShagMeRiggins · 26/03/2019 09:57

One pound down to 196, so finishing this bootcamp with an 8lb loss. Which puts me 10 pounds more than my low last year of 186.

However...I have such faith in this WOE and know how well it works. It’s what’s going to see me through to my goal weight, and yeah there’s still quite a way to go, but the other options were to stay the same or—worse—keep gaining.

I am now going to 1) decide a goal for myself to achieve BB (Between Bootcamps), and 2) concoct a plot to achieve Bootcamp domination for May. I want the crown!!! Grin

Well done everyone, regardless of level of success. The fact you’re here and trying is step in the right direction. And you all give such great support. Wine

ShagMeRiggins · 26/03/2019 09:59

Next Bootcamp—I cant speak for BIWI but she seems to generally run a February, May, and October pattern throughout the year.

No need to wait, though!

ShagMeRiggins · 26/03/2019 10:06

Okay—I’ve done a mental calculation and decided in my headwhen next bootcamp will begin Grin so I’d like to throw this out there and announce that my BB Goal is...

16lb loss. That’s a big ask for me but I like setting big goals. Reach for the moon, etc...

And it would put me at 180lbs, which is very close to my First Goal Weight, as opposed to Final Goal Weight, but it will mean I can allow myself to have a fecking drink!!! Grin Gin
