Morning all. Sorry for lateness of the thread.

Here's the spreadsheet

As the title says, only two more weeks left! But that still means there's time to shed a couple more pesky pounds.

Hope you all have a good week

Feet can! Back in 2009 I used to follow Marks Daily Apple and got into low carb
I got down to 9st which is thin for me (size 6) I was able to buy size 4.5 shoes and kids’ clothes. Currently I am a size 5.5-6 shoe. Pregnancy also made my feet expand.

Siameasy · 05/03/2019 22:28

Welcome MrsTeaspoon.
How come you have to eat every two hours?

m0therofdragons · 05/03/2019 23:09

Haven't weighed yet. Had all 3 dc in my bed starting with dd1 at 2am having had a nightmare, got up early to make dc pancakes for breakfast as I wasn't going to see dds again until bed. Got home at 10pm. Will weigh in the morning.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll catch up tomorrow Grin

BIWI · 06/03/2019 06:18

Welcome @MrsTeaspoon! But I have to agree with @Siameasy - why do you have to eat every two hours? Who told you that?

Constant eating will only interfere with your blood sugars, so not sure that's great advice. Also, whoever advised you to do that - did they also advise a low carb diet?

And finally - sorry to jump on your post! - but if you're doing Bootcamp, then kidney beans are definitely off the menu. You'd be far better off with a beef or fish burger. And you need to eat more veg than that ...

Flowers. Sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes - hopefully you'll be fine once you've had the baby.

Morning ladies, well I braved the scales and it was bad, Omg, so bad my scales app popped up with "your weight has changed a lot, are you sure this is yours?"
SO a new Day 1, goal #1 is to get back in healthy range bmi, embarrassed to be out of it tbh.

BIWI · 06/03/2019 07:51

@AandL well, firstly, good on you for braving the scales! You knew it was going to be bad - but let's face it, you haven't exactly had an ordinary last few weeks, have you? And I don't think you'll ever look back and regret the time you spent with your parents.

Chin up. Fresh start, and don't worry about the past - nothing you can do about that anyway Flowers

tootstastic · 06/03/2019 07:53

@AandL bless you, fat shamed by your own app, what a cheek! Hope the first day back on it goes well.

venusandmars · 06/03/2019 08:00

Morning AandL good attitude, and a good goal. Forget the embarrassment, you've had a lot to contend with, motivation and determination will serve you better than shame.

Food today:
B - boiled egg and butter
L - chicken and kale soup
D - chicken liver pate, salad, coleslaw

Bloodybigbabybelly · 06/03/2019 08:08

@MrsTeaspoon gestational diabetes is rubbish Flowers but having recently had it myself I am assuming eating every two hours is for a different reason?

I found that eating low carb kept my blood sugar lower and more consistent but from memory you don't really want to go into ketosis. Eat 3 meals a day but only snack if you need to. Good luck 😁

AandL · 06/03/2019 08:12

Oh girls, thank you so much for the kind posts, really helped x

BrassicaBabe · 06/03/2019 08:28

I put that on over Xmas week AandL. No shaming here. Back to it and onwards Smile

Mimosa1 · 06/03/2019 08:54

Aaaargh, I fell off the wagon yesterday. An old friend was visiting and craving dim sum (noodles and dumplings) for lunch, then indulgent deserts for dinner that evening. It was lovely to spend time with her but it's frustrating that all celebrations are food related. I didn't weigh this morning (daily weigher) as I knew it would be bad and that's a sure sign of a bigger issue with me, so well done @AandL for getting back on the scales. I'm only a few kg away from a normal bmi so mustn't let this blip derail me. I was getting a bit smug tbh and the truth is, I'm fine at home but still struggle a lot when I'm out and about socially. Plus my clothes are fitting again and so it's tempting to just relax - but i want to get slimmer and fitter and it's much easier in the winter without all that lovely tempting fruit and ice cream so onwards! As @BIWI says, nothing we can do about the past.

Doilooklikeatourist · 06/03/2019 09:36

Same here @BrassicaBabe , 7 lb on in 7 days is easy ( no challenge there )
Losing it , not so good
I’ve found the support on this thread very helpful , and I’m sure I’m not alone

MrsKoala · 06/03/2019 09:57

I am so glad i’m technoshite and can’t get my head round apps. Well done AandL for not smashing the thing and having a positive attitude. I remember when MIL had terminal cancer. In the last few months she served fish n chips, leek and potato soup and bread or packets of biscuits and cake for dinner and was really offended if I tried to make anything else or bring my own food. I was trying to do BC and it was really hard. I look back and think why did I add that layer of stress to my life. So well done for your approach, I wish I had done that then.

Last night I had buttered leeks and a poached egg and 2 large vodkas for dinner. I also did 16:8 fast yesterday which went quite well. I was ravenous 9-10am but a cup of tea helped that pass and I was fine till noon when I had cauli and camembert soup with chopped walnuts – it was very nice so thank you for the recommendation.

I weighed myself this morning and I am 11st 13.5lb. WOOOO into the 11s. Just. But i’ll take it.

MrsKoala · 06/03/2019 10:00

Oh and defo agree Brassica. I put on 7lb on an 8 day all inclusive holiday in November Blush I blame the paella and bread for that.

MrsKoala · 06/03/2019 10:36

Just had these for breakfast and they were quite good. I had 2 pancakes with a dollop of yogurt and a handful of berries. I remember someone a few threads ago asking for anything to use coconut flour in and these do. (I omitted the maple syrup)

BrassicaBabe · 06/03/2019 11:31

1lb off this morning following a couple of days of fasting like eating. Wonder if I can get it to stay off! Hmm

Siameasy · 06/03/2019 11:45

Well done for the 11s MrsK.
That website looks yummy - however I had a bad reaction to coconut flour a few years ago and I tried it a second time and the same thing happened.

I’m doing a 24hr (ish) fast today because my hours at work would mean I either have to eat at 9am or wait until about 6pm. I ate breakfast yesterday as an experiment and it made me more hungry. So I might break the fast at 6ish we shall see...

ShagMeRiggins · 06/03/2019 12:07

Sltill alcohol-free.

The app story reminded me that I used to lie to mine. That’s right, I entered lower weights. Because obviously that made it true. Hmm

ShagMeRiggins · 06/03/2019 14:54

:-strikethrough-: (test, sorry)

And is anyone else having difficulty with Preview function on an iPhone?

ShagMeRiggins · 06/03/2019 14:54

:- Well that didn’t work -:

ShagMeRiggins · 06/03/2019 14:55

Hmm Balls. As you were.

Back to LCHF, and on to the treadmill for me now.

RobinHobb · 06/03/2019 15:47

I have a question for fellow more experienced low carbers: I've been drinking lots of water - much more than usual although nowhere close to 3lts. The problem is that I end up spending half the night getting up to pee, it reminds me of last months of pregnancy when I had no bladder control and had to go all the time. Anyone else having similar issues and what did you do about it?
Thank you

venusandmars · 06/03/2019 16:03

RobinHobb make sure you spread your drinking out through the day. In the morning you will be more dehydrated, so drink more early in the day. Drink before meals, drink after meals, drink between meals. And then taper off into the evening. It is worse if you find you've only had 2 litres in the daytime and then have to gulp a litre immediately before bed.

Although I used to visualise that I was peeing out fat and that was a helpful image in the night.
