I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

Oops Blush Sorry, wrong thread. I've reported my own post Blush

WhatThreeWords · 23/01/2019 09:24

@prettybird - I am an Anna Soubry fan!

@Condamine, thank you. I have to say this morning is much worse. I am alone on the train looking at the most incredible morning, the sea and sunrise on one side and frosted fields and the moon setting on the other. All I can think about is that everything might go wrong, I'm not feeling so optimistic today. I think it is because I am on my own with my thoughts. Will be better when I get to the company I'm seeing. I hope you had a good result when you got yours back and you haven't had to endure anything further than that long wait.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/01/2019 09:28

Could someone add mine please - 139. Thanks v much Smile

That’s a pound on but I reckon it’ll be the milk in coffee - I had this last time so need to cut that out and see what happens. I’ve tried various ‘milks’ but find them all rank so in all honesty I think I’ll fair better in warmer weather - I’m drinking more coffee on these cold dark days.

Anyway - my blender arrived yay! I’m just putting all the bits through the dishwasher and then seeing what kind of butter coffee concoction I can come up with.

Breakfast - eggs with butter
Lunch - prob the aforementioned coffee, I don’t think I’ll be hungry
Dinner - baked fish with watercress salad

And a massive glass of water every time I’m passing the kitchen (often!)

Have a good day all

RhymesWithOrange · 23/01/2019 09:57

Morning everyone, good to hear the motivation in these posts.

I haven't weighed again since the static scales on Monday but I'm wearing a dress that's definitely looser than it was on Boxing Day so I'm counting that as a win.

Biggest difference so far has been my water intake, around 2.75 litres a day, without fail.

Plan for today is

B - scrambled eggs with cheese
L - smoked salmon salad
D - fish baked in herbs with green vegetables

Snack of natural yoghurt at the ready.

tootstastic · 23/01/2019 10:08

Thanks @Dia12 and @WhatThreeWords
Class 1 obese is normally nothing to shout about, but it's a lot better than class 3!

@WhatThreeWords I can imagine it's difficult to keep your mind off things. How long will you have to wait for your results?

WhatThreeWords · 23/01/2019 10:11

@tootsastic Find out 4th Feb

1stMrsF · 23/01/2019 10:13

@WhatThreeWords sending you good vibes. The flat sounds awesome.

BIWI · 23/01/2019 10:21

@CognitiveDissonance How much weight do you have to lose? List out for me what you've been eating and drinking and let me see if there's anything obvious I can point out

@WhatThreeWords love the breakfast on the train! I'd avoid the black pudding (as generally it's quite carb-heavy) but might try the sausage - if it's very meaty then it's probably fine. Just watch out for something that is obviously softer, and more 'pappy', for want of a better word, as this is likely to have filler/rusk/breadcrumbs in it. Depending where you're travelling back from, personally I'd avoid the main course meal - as you have no idea what thickeners they will have used. They will be served with some kind of carb element and without that, the portion sizes tend to be small. Check out the station you're travelling from to see if there's a M&S Food or somewhere you can buy something 'safer'.

@tootstastic - that's a great achievement! Don't knock it!

@ChangoMutney why did you do that?! Not only have you got the hangover to punish you, now you have me on your case! Grin. Seriously. Was it really worth it?

@Dia12 - no I never limit protein. Why do you ask? The important thing to remember is that it's high fat, medium protein and low carb. As far as possible I try to keep the fat high, and when it comes to eating meat/fish, that's by eating fattier cuts. I'm not a great fish fan, so it's more meat for me - by preference I'd eat chicken thighs rather than breasts (the higher fat means it's lower protein), and always buy the highest percentage fat beef mince that I can.

@Condamine I have no idea! How do the scales measure that?! If you're drinking the amount of water shown on the rules (rule no 6) then I'd say that's enough.

@GuyMartinsSideburns it doesn't look to me like you're eating very much - why is that?

Breakfast - eggs with butter
Perfect, and a great start to the day

Lunch - prob the aforementioned coffee, I don’t think I’ll be hungry
What do you mean, you don't think you'll be hungry?! Rule one - you need to eat three meals a day. Please don't get into the habit of substituting meals with a bulletproof coffee. You need proper nutrition, especially veg/salad

Dinner - baked fish with watercress salad
Why baked fish? Where's the fat? And why only watercress? This is the only veg of the day and it's not enough.

You've been on Bootcamp often enough to know that I'm bound to come down on this!

BIWI · 23/01/2019 10:22

@WhatThreeWords you're bound to feel like this as you've only just had the news. And being on your own is never conducive to positive, optimistic thinking! Just pretend we're all with you, chatting away in first class and enjoying our breakfast.

Oh, and remember to avoid the free booze trolley on the way back! Grin

@Threeminis last nights dinner was lovely thank you! I've posted it on the meat recipes thread.

m0therofdragons · 23/01/2019 11:05

@WhatThreeWords thinking of you. Waiting for results is just horrible.

I've done the school run and been in meetings so not drunk anything and no food which I know is bad. Off to go and put that right now!

SheldonTheWonderShlong · 23/01/2019 11:11

Just popping in to say I'm name changing (but will remain as Sheldon on the spreadsheet)

venusandmars · 23/01/2019 11:19

B - scrambled eggs, mushrooms
L - salad with avocado, cheese and chorizo rollitos
D - salmon, buttered leeks, spinach

@whatthreewords - beef rendang, ooh, now you've reminded me of one of my favourite recipes, that'll be on the menu for the weekend.

Hermie12 · 23/01/2019 11:24

aagh such good progress and last night felt terrible and have developed the winter lurgy. Determined not to let this de-rail me. Had an urge for snacks and did satisfy with a packet of pork scratchings and and a few squares of 70% chocolate so not ideal but damage limitation! By contrast I feel the opposite today, did manage by greek yoghurt but prospect of any lunch is just making me feel a bit meh. Will just have to go with the flow.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/01/2019 11:31

BIWI- yeah okay fair enough! Well to answer your questions - I’ve never eaten 3 meals a day but I’ll consider a late lunch and see how that goes. (I recall I had this problem last time - feeling like I’m not eating enough but really not wanting to eat more than I was).

(I won’t get into the habit of substituting those coffees for meals, I’m just considering the odd one now and again).

Fish will have a butter and caper sauce (should’ve mentioned that) and the salad will be oiled and big!

I’ll squeeze in some yogurt somewhere!

tootstastic · 23/01/2019 11:56

@WhatThreeWords a two-week wait is torturous, bless you! Yes @BIWI's right, pretend we're all with you keeping you company and cheering you on.

Oh and @BIWI, you're so right about not knocking it, I have a bad habit of doing that!

@GuyMartinsSideburns I saw GM a few months ago up very close in a cafe in the wilds of lincolnshire. He looked looked cute and was being lovely to the staff, but did look like he needed a good scrub in the bathtub Grin

tootstastic · 23/01/2019 11:57

Total bold fail, sorry 😐

1Wildheartsease · 23/01/2019 12:06

Neat side-stepping of the big stickGuyMartinsSideburns :) - we'll all be watching to see you add oil dressing and butter sauces.

I think that soup (with butter and veg) is a better lunch that BPcoffee - and just as drinkable/warming.

Rshard · 23/01/2019 12:19

Thinking of you @whatthreewords

@boldly - that’s them!

Well done @toots, it’s a great feeling to be back in to clothes

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/01/2019 12:20

Tootstastic - I’m jealous haha

1wildheartsease - I should’ve mentioned the butter etc in my first post. I generally use a lot of it but should’ve realised my choices didn’t sound great without them!

You’re right about soups, I make a good spinach one so I’ll do that tomorrow I think. I’ve just had a boiled egg and some mayo, might try some yogurt later or as pud after dinner.

tootstastic · 23/01/2019 12:33

@Rshard thanks, yes it is and I love clothes might have done a bit of shopping too. I really need to start sorting them into Keep, Charity, EBay piles or I'm going to have nowhere to put the new stuff.

@GuyMartinsSideburns I'll ask for a picture for you if I spot him again. I visit my aunt that way on and apparently he's there quite often. He has a gorgeous dog too.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 23/01/2019 12:36

Ah thank you tootstastic, how kind!

WhatThreeWords · 23/01/2019 13:58

BIWI I will avoid the Rendang unless I can find an ingredients list. It says it is gluten free. I have brought something with me just in case though - leftovers from last night

I tried bulletproof coffee but find it so grim...

1stMrsF · 23/01/2019 13:59

Checking in with today's food.
B - ham and ff cream cheese roll ups, half an avocado
L - roast pork, buttered leeks, carrots and peas (know they aren't great, but nothing better available with school dinner today)
D - low carb sausages, stirfried spring greens and perhaps some celeriac mash depending on whether I cba or not.
Water going well. Exercise class tonight.

Haworthia · 23/01/2019 14:27

Haven’t checked in for a couple of days but I’m doing good!

B: coffee and cream (I know! But I didn’t want to eat and wasn’t going to force myself)
L: prawns fried in lots of butter with garlic and capers; spinach leaves

Dinner tonight will probably be Heck chicken sausages with veg. Obviously will add in some fat - might make a creamy/cheesy courgette gratin type thing. Will just head into the kitchen to check the carb count of the sausages but I’m sure they’re OK.

I feel great and I’m sure it’s psychosomatic but I feel lighter too. If I’ve allowed myself too many treats for a few days then I literally feel like my thighs are busting out of my jeans. I don’t right now Grin
