Week 7 - Low Carb Bootcamp - Only 4 weeks to go ...

Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So there are only four more weeks to go before we reach the finish line. But still time, if you're keeping to the rules, to lose another 4-8lbs - so possibly another half a stone!

It's a tricky time of year, though, as we hurtle towards Christmas, and the parties and drinks and chocolates start to make their appearance. I don't know about anyone else, but I have That Dress that I need to make sure I fit into, so that's keeping me focused.

Hope you all have a good week.

Morning!

Absolutely delighted - 4lbs Off this morning, meaning I’ve lost a stone!

Onwards and downwards. More later.

Littleorangetree · 26/11/2018 07:46

Morning everyone. Thaks for the new tread BIWI.

I've lost a couple of pounds this week, so happy with that. I've been weighing daily and graphing my progress - the downward overall trend is encouraging, even when I STS or put on a couple of pounds over the course of a week.

BIWI · 26/11/2018 08:02

That's great @Collectorofcookbooks!

@Littleorangetree - let's see your graph - I like a good graph! Grin

I'm still up a pound on where I was 2 weeks ago Confused at 11st 5lb - but my clothes are feeling progressively looser so I'm still happy. Still 6lb this Boot Camp.

I'm doing an egg fast for 5 days this week - I did a couple last year and they work for me. Minimum 6 eggs a day with lots of butter (and/or cheese) and water. Have to be careful (as per the instructions in the egg fast) to taper back into "normal" eating, so as not to get a rebound.

I like eggs Grin - abd they do keep you amazingly full Smile

Doilooklikeatourist · 26/11/2018 09:35

Up 3lb this week , not surprised at all ( thought it might have been worse )
But , we had a lovely week , and it was worth it
Back on the straight and narrow as I too have That Dress to wear to the Christmas party

Collectorofcookbooks · 26/11/2018 09:36

Another 4lbs and I hit the point where I traditionally stall - but at that weight, I’ll be lighter than I have been for a year! Just looked back at MFP and my graphs - quite sobering.

Hope everyone else has had a good week.

Thanks for the dairy free advice on the end of the previous thread. It’s only been 48 hours and we’re starting to see a big difference - she went on the loo this morning for the first time in months! It’s been a long journey just to get to this point, but if it works then we’ll keep going.

bluelefant · 26/11/2018 11:07

I feel like I am going round in circles 😐
For the last four weeks I have been losing and gaining the same 2lbs.
On a positve note-this week is a lose week!
How to break the pattern?

StuntNun · 26/11/2018 11:45

Bluelefant list out your meals for a couple of days for constructive criticism. Also are you definitely drinking enough water?

FuriousFifties · 26/11/2018 11:52

ahh I need a dress, that's where I'm going wrongGrin

I've found this week really tough, managed to catch a virus thing, new job stress, not sleeping well and I can feel my focus and will power diminishing and a small gain on the scales this morning.

New week, deep breathes back on it.

bibliomania · 26/11/2018 12:29

Nearly slunk away in shame, as I've had a bad couple of weeks and am heavier than when I started. At this time of year, all I want is to fall head down into a barrel of starch and another of alcohol and then hibernate till April.

But I won't. I'm going to avoid alcohol for the next couple of weeks, and am trying out some new recipes. I'm going away at Christmas, so a swimsuit will be involved. And January is bad enough without extra remorse.

StuntNun · 26/11/2018 14:30

It happens to all of us Biblio climb back on the wagon and start eating healthily again. You've got a good motivation there and you're right - think how much better you'll feel if you start January already several pounds lighter.

LipstickForADogwalk · 26/11/2018 15:10

2lbs off for me this week. Slow but steady... can def see a difference now.

bibliomania · 26/11/2018 15:11

Thanks for being kind, StuntNun

prettybird · 26/11/2018 15:28

I've fallen off the wagon a couple of times this year - but keep on getting back on and ultimately continuing my downward trajectory. I look on it as giving my skin time to catch up Wink

You can do this bibliomania Smile

I have no real confidence of getting back into "my dress" by Christmas: it;s a Nicole Farhi dress but the stubborn failure of my boobs to deflate Confused means I need to be lower than I think is feasible in the month remaining (egg fast notwithstanding Grin) Hmm.

Nevertheless, I am currently only 6lb off being a whole stone lighter than I was last Christmas - so I'll be happy with that! Smile If I can make it 8lb, then I am back into a normal BMI and I will be ecstatic at that! Halo

bibliomania · 26/11/2018 15:43

I like the justification about allowing skin to catch up, pretty!

Wildheartsease · 26/11/2018 15:57

13LB down on this bootcamp so far, and 32LB over all. :)

I feel much better in all sorts of ways. In addition to the weight loss:

  • I have stronger muscles and better flexibility (due to yoga in addition to good eating)
  • I've lost 3,5 inches from my waist during this bootcamp ( 9.5 inches lost since started previous bootcamp).

The wonderful people who run this thread and keep it going (BIWI Prettybird athelstanetheunready and Stuntnun) - and all who post here (especially the inspiration from ilovecherries) - have contributed to this even though you might nor realise it. Thank-you all very much.

prettybird · 26/11/2018 16:12

I've added the Olive Oil Chocolate Mousse recipe to the "Desserts and Other Sweet things" recipe thread. Smile

Hi all Week 1 of 4,
Strange week for me, seen 217 and 213 last week, higher amount after spinning for an hour burning 900 Calories.

Woke up after 4 hours sleep today full of air, won't go up or down,
Just keeps grumbling.

But on the brightside
Measurements show, when sucking in as much as possible, 3.5 inches of from starting measurement, so assuming I'm losing some fluid and visceral fat. The Subcutaneous fat on the belly is real jingly this so hoping for a whoosh.

KOKO and hope you all have fun learning something new and great about yourself this week.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 26/11/2018 16:26

Made the Keto coconut bars - looks like doggy doo but does taste delicious.
Used Fresh coconut, cacao powder and cacao butter and melted 95% Lindt Chocolate.

As I blended the water into the flesh put into freezer and eat like small Choc ices. Takes ages to melt each mouthful.

bluelefant · 26/11/2018 17:28

@StuntNun Today I had buttery scrambled eggs for breakfast(K have it on most days)
Lunch was salad made of smoked salmon,spinach,3 big olives,1/4 avocado and 2 tbsp of mayo and some olive oil also.
Dinner will be pork belly with white cabbage fried in butter.
Tomorrow I will have scrambled eggs again and then ham salad for lunch and beef and veg keto pie for dinner.
I try and drink 5-6 glasses of water and I drink at least 3 big cups of red bush tea every day.
I have to confess to drinking coffee with 1 tsp of brown sugar every morning 😐

Littleorangetree · 26/11/2018 21:52

I'll try to upload my graph BIWI. Hopefully you can see it!

I had a terrible day today, working on a client's site in the middle of bloody nowhere. Ended up having to eat a sandwich. Then biscuits. I didn't have to eat the biscuit Blush. I was cross with myself for doing that because I should know better!

prettybird · 26/11/2018 22:08

Sorry you had such a crappy day BIWI

I hope you've had plenty of water and no gin GinWinkGrin
