Good morning all, for the final Monday of this Bootcamp.

Here's the spreadsheet for its last outing!

I hope very much that the last ten weeks have been successful for everyone - whether that's on the scales, seeing your clothes fit better, better health and general enjoyment of your food!

I'll keep this chat thread going, and when it's full, will start another one until we start the next Bootcamp, which will start in mid-October.

laska you look beautiful in that dress!

Thanks BIWI for this boot camp and to everyone else who contributes and inspires.

There’s some brilliant losses and nsv’s.

Not weighing in until Thursday but I think my weight loss has only been around 4lbs but I’m happy because I’m very close to where I think I want to be. Still officially overweight by two pounds according to BMI.

My best NSV of this boot camp is running faster, which has happened naturally not through any desire on my part. I did a 10k on Friday evening my quickest time ever and I raised money for two cancer charities who have been treating and supporting a friend of my dd who is battling leukaemia aged 16.

TerfsUp · 23/07/2018 13:08

Well done, RShard!

DramaAlpaca · 23/07/2018 13:15

Well done everyone, some great results.

I've lost another 1lb this week, so I've lost a total of 10lb over boot camp which I am really happy with.

Thanks everyone for the support, motivation and inspiration.

I've more to lose so will keep going. I like this way of eating & it suits me. I have so much more energy and the arthritis in my fingers has vanished. That alone makes it worth carrying on.

ShagMeRiggins · 23/07/2018 13:30

ilovecherries I know you’re not 65, but if you hang on several years you’ll fit neatly into the range of 25-27 BMI as a Healthy Weight for “older” people. Grin

Twoo · 23/07/2018 15:59

Thank you BIWI for the last thread.

I have really appreciated being a part of such a supportive group of people and reading about all your successes.

Start of boot camp - 147lbs

Mid boot camp - 150lbs (was totally sticking to plan, no carby food, no alcohol, no sugar etc)

End Bc - 146lbs.

In my case, to get back to losing I needed to create a moderate calorie deficit in order to lose. Nothing drastic. Just watching portions etc. I tended to over load plates and have too many coffees with cream.

I don’t feel deprived, I feel satiated and I continue to enjoy the health benefits of this woe.

Does anyone have the link for the support thread we use until next Boot Camp please?

m0therofdragons · 23/07/2018 16:16

I started boot camp half way through at 11st 5lbs. Today I'm 10st 10 (although was 10st 9 for the last 4 days so hoping it'll return once my period goes).

I'm officially no longer overweight (by 1lb)! Still some work to get further away from that and I'd love to get under 10st for the first time in 7.5 years.

Thanks for everyone's support! I'm hoping I won't need to join the October Bootcamp but we will see.

Good luck everyone xx

ilovecherries · 23/07/2018 16:58

shagme!. GrinGrin. Only just over 4 years to go and I will be positively svelte! I wonder if they’d let me in early. Just need to not lose any more height!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 23/07/2018 17:24

Just back from the doctors'. Turns out they decided to stress me about having thrush! The doctor was not overly enthusiastic about giving me antifungal stuff as I'm not symptomatic, but decided that, as it was flagged up I should have a course. But honestly, all that worry about very little. Hey ho!

Thanks for your good wishes over the weekend. It did make it easier to deal with.

Twoo - this thread will just keep running until it's full, at which point BIWI (or someone) will start another to keep us going. No point letting this one go to waste.

prettybird · 23/07/2018 17:28

Can someone help: I want to belatedly add my weights, but there isn't a row with formula left and I don't want to copy and paste and muck it up.

Pretty please? Flowers

I do put a call out to @sayrraT in the last thread but she's maybe not seen it. Sad

ItsalmostSummer · 23/07/2018 17:28

Hello all, and wow there are some incredible losses! It is nice to see you all on the final weigh in. I did not know if I would carry this through when I first started, but I am so pleased I did. Big thanks to BIWI and others for running these threads, it has been fun!

I’ve really enjoyed this low carb bootcamp WOE more than I thought I would. I lost 1.3 pounds this week and my total is 10 pounds - which for me is amazing!
I am finding as I get older it is harder to lose weight. I used to join weight watchers and within 6 weeks I could lose 6 kilos. Not anymore. And even if I just do healthy eating and count calories I struggle to lose any weight. So thank you all for sharing your stories and photos on how this WOE has helped you. I am inspired to keep going with this WOE, and so that means I will keep looking at these pages and weighing in (so long as there is a spreadsheet). So thank you all 💐 and KOKO.

sheldonesque · 23/07/2018 19:53

Thank you biwi and to all who post. I haven't been able to post much but I've gloried in everyone's successes - big and little.

I'll be kokoing till next bootcamp, and hoping to be down a little bit more for the next start.

Glad today wasn't so bad time - hope the tweeters fly away soon Smile

Thank you all Flowers

boldlygoingsomewhere · 23/07/2018 20:32

Great losses here, well done to everyone who kept going over the course of Bootcamp.

I joined very late so don’t have a great loss to report but my clothes are feeling a bit looser. Hopefully a few more weeks and I can fit back into the clothes I wore this time last year!

I’ll KOKO and carry on posting. You are all inspirational. Star

Rayna37 · 24/07/2018 06:52

Not been a great bootcamp for me, about 5 lbs off. I started on a post-holiday temporary high, got to a post-baby low a couple of weeks ago but I'm currently 2.5lbs up from that after another holiday and big weekend. I don't think I've done more than a few days at a time without going off plan!
I've still learned plenty and enjoyed the threads, my BMI is currently 22.2 and I have been as low as I've been since 2016 in recent weeks. I think this BC just hasn't fallen when I've been of a mindset to make most use of it. DH and I both see this WoE as the correct and healthy one, so things like pasta and rice and regular potatoes just aren't in the house and we cook from scratch almost always but that doesn't mean we don't go a bit off plan when out or abandon it to some extent on holiday etc.
Unfortunately I have concluded my frame really is very small and my new goal is 10lbs away (tbc!) which I really need to knuckle down and get to (or decide to stick somewhere between here and there) instead of creeping there glacially. I am a moderator and see minimal side effects when I do eat carbs, I don't particularly crave them and I've never been overweight except post baby so I guess I'm used to maintaining a healthy weight most of the time but I'm also naturally greedy and currently bigger than I want to be.

Rshard · 24/07/2018 07:06

In last week’s thread prettybird mentioned the idea of personal challenges to keep on track until the next boot camp.

Does anyone want to join me?

I’m going to up my water game especially in this hot weather and continue to weigh weekly. I go on holiday on 29 August so that’s 5 weeks, thats my focus.

borowren · 24/07/2018 07:21

I'm definitely up for continuing to weigh weekly. I need some accountability in my life!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 24/07/2018 07:50

I think my personal challenge will be to try a new recipe every week. I’m very guilty of repeating the same foods over and over and I know I’ll need some variety to make this sustainable long-term.

m0therofdragons · 24/07/2018 08:04

Weighed again this morning after 4 days at one weight and it going up a lb on Monday. Not only has that lb gone but and I'm down another one. 10 8 felt impossible back in May now 10 seems possible and even under 10.

I'm so happy that I'm actually in control. Before it felt like I was so confused about food I couldn't figure out how to lose.

Thing101 · 24/07/2018 08:23

Hello! Lost about 1.5 stone, which is just amazing. So glad to have some rules that work and make me feel well. I think I was bogging myself down with 'good' carbs before and wondering why my weight crept up. Also lost crazy binge moods which I felt I couldn't control and filled me with self loathing afterwards. Thanks so much for running this very select club! I will stick to some kind of bootcamp light probably. I think I will avoid grains permanently as those are the killer carbs for me, along with booze!
Boldly I like your idea of new recipes as I get stuck in a rut and get a bit bored, so that's a good plan - especially with the kids on school holiday I should have more time to make more interesting things.

3stonedown · 24/07/2018 08:24

I'll join in personal challenges. I have a very short term one. I would like to get to a normal BMI range within the next 7 days. Thats 3 lbs. So pushing it a little bit but I think possible if I work hard.

prettybird · 24/07/2018 08:43

I like the challenge of new recipes: I think I'll make that my August challenge. A minimum of one new recipe a week. Smile

My September target is going to be to break through the 11 stone barrier - which would have the added benefit of getting into a normal BMI Smile

Haven't weighed in formally this week but the interim scales suggest 11stone 5lb or 11stone 5.5lb (hadn't had a movement Blush so waiting until then Wink) so keeping focussed during August should make that achievable.

LeapinLizards · 24/07/2018 09:30

Thank you for the thread and congrats to those who have had some amazing losses, and for everyone who has KOKO when the scales don't show us the right numbers.
I've just weighed in and stayed the same for final week. Since I started this WOE on 1 January, i've lost 19lbs and 8lbs of that was on this BC. I hit my first then second target and now just 2lbs off my final target. So that's going to be my mini-goal. I go on holiday in 2 and half weeks so that's my aim for then.
Thank you @BIWI for these threads and running BC and to @stuntnun for indepth scientific knowledge and @athelstanetheunready for the spreadsheet. What an incredible public service you provide! I'm so grateful to everyone involved in BC because the support and help on here is just brilliant. Thank you!

ilovecherries · 24/07/2018 09:37

My first (of three, I’m very lucky!) holidays starts 25 August. I’m not holding my breath after The Longest Stall in History but I would be so ecstatic to lose 4.5 lbs and see 10.13 on the scales before then. I’m taking DD away for a week of R&R before she goes back to uni, as she had to cancel her holiday with her friends because of her recent surgery. Back 5 days and DH and I have our summer holiday, then in early October I’m going with my mum and dad on a freebie. They felt they were getting too old to go abroad and I asked them if they’d feel more confident if I went with them. They jumped at it, and then insisted on paying for me, which hadn’t been my intention when I offered. So lots of opportunity to wear all my lovely new size 12 clothes :)

prettybird · 24/07/2018 09:39

Oops - I've been tagging the wrong person asking for more lines on the spreadsheet so that I can belatedly add my data Blush

@athelstanetheunready please would you add some more lines. Pretty please? Flowers

AthelstaneTheUnready · 24/07/2018 09:43

Hi @prettybird - you're on the sheet!

sorry to write and run, but I felt starting a new job at the same time as renting/moving to a new house wasn't engrossing enough, so have just had an offer to buy a house accepted...

Low carb NSV though - I am SO much more organised on low-carb - concentrate better, more motivation, more ooomph in general.

will be back later, but a quick phew for Time's news!

Rshard · 24/07/2018 11:23

I missed your update earlier time, socrelieved for you!

So happy to read all the personal challenges. I’m going to piggy back yours as well 3stone with the BMI one. Not a great believer in BMI but it’s a good target, I’m 2 pounds away
