Morning all.

A very early start to this week's chat thread, as I'm 8 hours ahead of the UK right now.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness one more time

Hopefully by now, low carbing is starting to become a habit rather than a hardship. We're out of the dreaded weeks 4 & 4, so for those who haven't seen much movement on the scales, things should start to get going again now (although don't expect to see huge losses from here on - around 1-2lbs a week is a normal and healthy rate of loss)

For those who aren't seeing any movement in the bathroom Grin make sure you're eating plenty of fat - see how you can find ways to add more fat to your diet. Similarly water. And look at what you're eating, and be sure that you're getting your carbs in the main from veg and salad.

I have noticed that there's a fair bit of slippage cheating starting to creep in, and I'm calling you all on that! Remember that this isn't an especially forgiving way of eating, and if you cheat, you won't lose!

But good luck for the rest of the week

Lovely day here for youngest DD’s 11th birthday. Her autism meant a fantastically eclectic range of presents probably unlike what most 11 year olds would choose, and later some birthday clothes shopping and a trip to her beloved Carluccios for dinner. They know her well and produced a candle on her chosen cake for pudding which was a nice moment. They were out of steak though which I had been going to have so DH and I shared one of their deli boards which worked ok.

giraffeski that fathead pizza does look good. I’ve never made it but I think I might have to give it a try.

I think my jeans (still an 18) finally might be feeling slightly looser and I have got some 16’s somewhere so am going to dig those out and see how close I am to getting them on!

divette mine are now fairly irregular, very heavy for 2 days and then have a very long tail. I get some cramps but rarely anything else. I am 54 though and peri menopausal so my pattern may not be lchf related at all. I have been doing this woe since last October.

prettybird · 17/06/2018 21:45

I believe that HFLC can affect periods due to the hormones released in the fat (iirc Blush) Divette . I'm post-menopausal now, but when I first did Boot Camp c6 years ago, I was still peri-menopausal and it did trigger "new" periods/spotting.

Anyway, going back to last night: I was really pleased that I stayed in control of what I ate and drank. Had one small (ISO) glass of white wine and then, once the hits found his supply of diet lemonade, a couple of glasses of Pimms. I'd refused it when it was full sugar lemonade: having gone to the effort of making a sugar-free meringue roulade (filled with whipped cream, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries), I wasn't prepared to have sugar in the lemonade (yes, I know Pimms has itself got sugar in it Blush). Only ate low carb stuff (except for 2 very good home-made pakora, which use gram flour Blush): wee rolls of beef and rocket, mozarella, cherry tomato and basil sticks, a naked burger, some pistachios and peanuts - and of course, a slice of my sugar-free roulade.

Dh took a quick picture of me; I am 2.5 stones lighter than last year's party, when I'd have looked a little bit slimmer than the wedding photo taken on 25 May. I'd lost about half a stone by the garden party and although I wore the same outfit as at the wedding, it was already getting a bit loose and I needed a belt to hoik the trousers up Grin

So, the difference between the 2 photos is 3 stone 2lb Smile

It was noticed Grin

You look fabulous, prettybird.

LeapinLizards · 18/06/2018 01:23

Lovely pics cherries and prettybird - both such an inspirational set of photos.

Itchyknees · 18/06/2018 02:02

Lovely photos!

Re periods, I was going to ask that too. I had period pain this month like I haven’t had since I was a teenager.

In other news I made a sort of bread thing with coconut flour, you pour the batter into a waffle machine but I used a toaster maker instead, and they make a decent substitute and v v low carb.

ayeportly · 18/06/2018 02:14

Blimey prettybird that's so impressive. I remember you posting that photo last summer (stuck in my mind because we're from the same neck of the woods) Difference is you look like a different person and I look just the same...(living up to my nickname sadly).....oh well weigh-in in the morning..onwards and downwards as the saying goes...

farine · 18/06/2018 07:08

Oh I am fed up. Just weighed myself and I have lost a grand total of 3lbs since the start of bootcamp. But this is glacial pace weight loss.

I genuinely don't know what I am doing wrong. I am following bootcamp rules to the letter - I've not moved to bootcamp lite.

I really need some help here

187.5 today, could someone input me please as the spreadsheet says I'm not allowed.

A disappointing 1 pound as the Saturday whoosh has gone. And I am really bloody backed up. But progress all the same.
