Week 4 - Low Carb Bootcamp - where we're KOKOing!

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you

Just a reminder to you all that week 4, like its evil twin week 3, can be a difficult week where weight loss is likely to be minimal or even non-existent.

Please don't despair if you don't see any movement on the scales - this does appear to be quite normal at this point in Bootcamp.

Keep going, keep following the rules - stay away from the chocolate and bread! - particularly make sure you get enough water and fat - and you should see things get going again very soon.

Here's to a good week for us all Flowers

I'm recording a 2lb loss on last week so very happy, I've even started looking at outfits for my son's wedding.

Twinkledag hello and hugs to you

Time yes of course you can message me, it's all about understanding rabbit behaviour. Here is our giant house rabbit who survived EC but with some brain damage who is now successfully bonded with Lola the chihuahua. Admittedly we do now have a dog that is salad and veg obsessed but I take that as a success.

An unexpected 1lb off. Very happy with that.

Thanks Biwi

True to the spirit of week 4 I've stayed the same.

Stayed the same this week, but I was pretty lax, so I expected that. I've got some chicken stock also, will do a fridge clear soup later for lunches.

Stayed the same this week but that’s ok.
I need to drink more water.

Thanks, seafour have done so. I'm just unsure what the next step should be, but I've outlined the different options in my incredibly long message, and will be interested to see what you think is the best.

Interspecies bonding I can do, it's just getting rabbits to not want to fight that I have trouble with. Why can't they all be like guinea pigs and get on so long as there's food to munch?????

Morning everyone. 2.9lbs off this week. I didn't really lose the first couple of weeks so I'm kind of just now catching up to others. I'll keep going.

Holiday weight lost (5lb) this week, so that puts me back where I was two weeks ago. And a lesson learned...not worth going off-piste! Hey ho. New week, new resolve.

Stayed the same this week but feel lots better for all the fresh food.

Stayed the same, fine as tbh I have been flying a bit loose and free with the rules. I clearly need to stick to strict BC. Blush

Morning all, hard to believe it's week four already, thanks for the new thread BIWI.
I've 3 down this week, that's a total of 8.5 since bootcamp started and 32 down since I started myselfSmile

Hello all, just checking in quickly with a weight loss of 1.5lb, 6lb in total but it looks more, IYSWIM. Very pleased with that.

Off on holiday in a minute, will try very hard to stick to the rules, but won't be able to weigh myself until I get back in two weeks. I will be able to check in to the thread, and will do so to keep myself accountable.

Another pound off for me this morning, making 8 since the start of Bootcamp and 11 in total over the past 6 weeks.

1lb down for me.
I think this is proportionate to the amount of gin and (slimline) tonics I consumed as we were away. We went camping for a couple of days and then off to the seaside for a long weekend so I feel quite good hat I managed to keep going apart from the booze!

Gherkin, you’re my hero. Wink

2lb down for me, 6.8 in total. Which puts me only 4lbs away from where I was at the end of last bootcamp Hmm

The period between then and start of May bootcamp was the only significant gain I’ve had in the year+ I’ve been doing LCHF. Have never gone off the WOE for any sustained period until this.

I think it was because I hit the magic 50lb loss and either a) congratulated myself and thought, okay I’m done now, or b) realised I was still classified as fucking obese and had another 41lb to lose achieve Normal BMI.

That’s hard to swallow. How the fuck could I have done this to myself? How in the world did I let myself gain NINETY-SIX pounds that shouldn’t be there and why didn’t I CARE about myself?

Anyway, I’ve been laying low on the boards but catching up when I can. Lots going on at the moment—some big stresses but some really good, exciting things as well. KOKO.

(Don’t worry, my therapist is back on Wednesday.) GrinGrinGrin

A gain of 2.6lbs! But I knew it would happen as a weekend away meant indulging!!. I intend to do full Bootcamp this week to hopefully get back on an even keel.

STS this week - a wee bit disappointed as I didn't manage to maintain my breakthrough into 11stone something until weigh-in day. But at least I did STS - despite the alcohol last Thursday/Friday/Saturday (I did abstain last night but the damage was done Wink).

KOKO - I will break the 12 stone barrier for next week's weigh-in Smile

In other (sort of) good news, the Size 14 chinos that I bought in M&S are definitely loose. I've only worn them 4 5 times (2 full days and 3 evenings) and the belt has already disintegrated Shock (The false lizard skin effect has literally ripped apart at one of the holes) I'm thinking of taking them back and getting a refund and then going and buying a Size 12 Blush( but I need to check if the Size 12 would be too tight as I need to wear them now. Plus, come to think of it, I'd need to do it as an exchange, as I got 20% off when I got them).

Ah Riggins great to see you back!

Well done to all the losers and solidarity with all the STS and gainers, let's all mean business this week and have a better weigh-in next week!

ShagMeRiggins well done on the weight loss to date, that's a mighty achievement.

I know how you feel about wondering why you ended up in this position in the first place. I've lost 32 pounds and still need to lose 72 more to be at a healthy weight.
Don't give yourself a hard time about this, what will it achieve apart from making you feel awful about yourself. When you're gaining weight and feeling bad about yourself food is an immediate comfort and feels like a treat. Even though our minds know constant over indulging is not good it's hard to equate that nice calorific meal with yet another pound gain and when you're already large another pound gain is nothing on top of what's already there.
I'll bet you don't judge other over weight people or think badly of them for their size, you know just how hard it is and most likely feel for them knowing the frequent struggles been heavily over weight involves.
It's very motivating for me and I'm sure others to read of your loss to date and mainly staying on this woe. All our weight didn't go on in weeks/months and it would've fluctuated then too for various reasons so it's understandable it will now tooSmile

Dear all! I sat down to post and was going to confess about not drinking somewhere near enough water.... but decided to pour myself a huge glass and drink it first!

DH has just said "You have lost a lot of weight.... But then you had a lot to lose" Confused

One thing though.... From front on I can see I have lost weight, but side on it is still looking grim.... I seem to be losing from the outside in and I have like a ridge of fat down the centre of my body! I am 51 and periods have stopped so must be in menopause. Has anyone else seen this?
