Morning all.

So we finally reach the last week.

I feel that this Bootcamp has been a pretty successful one overall, with lots of SVs and NSVs.

Next Monday will be our final weigh-in, so there's one more week to lose some of that pesky fat.

I hope it's a good week for you all

I bet those trousers just fall off you now, Pretty! That waist band must just slide off your hips.

Black, just don't take it in the evening - I find magnesium sends me straight to sleep. In fact, there's a mag/potassium/zinc tablet (trying to help my teeth) that I take just before bedtime precisely because it knocks me out.

Shag - thanks for the video - my face isn't that bad now I've lost a little weight again, but my jawline and naso-labial folds could certainly do with a bit of help.

I can't work out if my aloe vera juice is OK or not.

It's the Holland and Barratt max strength juice, and I can't see anything sugar-like in the ingredients list. Any suggestions?

Rayna37 · 16/03/2018 07:08

Melcheeks it's basically a juice drink so unlikely to be good. You need to look at the nutrition panel rather than the ingredients: carb grams per 100ml, of which sugars...

StuntNun · 16/03/2018 07:12

Melanie there are 3-4g carbs in 25 ml aloe vera juice so you'll have to weigh up the benefits of it against the extra carbs.

Cherries it takes a lot longer for the skin to shrink back than everything else so give it time and it will improve. I found the 30 Day Shred brilliant for toning everything up, especially my arms and legs after four pregnancies and three c-sections my tummy is a lost cause.

Loving all the fab weight loss photos! I tried on 2 dresses yesterday that I couldn't get into before and they both fitted! Love how my wardrobe is expanding all the time the more weight I lose😀

Made some garlic mushrooms in a tomato sauce with cheese on top last night ( as I'd had it in a restaurant recently) and, tho I say it myself, they were pretty good!

prettybird · 16/03/2018 07:52

I must take those white trousers to a charity shop (only worn twice Shock and a third time for the photo )I estimate my waist is about 10" smaller than when I bought them! Smile (No accurate measurement: going by my proxy measurement of a belt since thrown away which gave an estimate of c.7" and then the measurements I've been taking since).

prettybird · 16/03/2018 08:03

Went to see Robert Peston last night at the Aye Write Festival with dh and ds. Went to our favourite Italian restaurant afterwards (Sarti's, for those that know Glasgow) and while dh and ds each had one of their fabulous spicy Toscana sausage pizzas Envy, I had two starters: wee smoked salmon rolls filled with Mascarpone & rocket and a rocket, cherry tomato and Parmesan salad (should've gone with the spinach fried with garlic). Didn't quite fill the same hole - but I drank lots of water and enjoyed the coffee at the end of the meal. I did nab some of the sausage crumbs from ds' plate though Grin (Dh cleared his plate Wink)

Rshard · 16/03/2018 08:36

Your reassurance about skin shrinking back stuntnun is very reassuring!

Last weekend of bootcamp everyone!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 16/03/2018 09:36

Got a really odd compliment yesterday: was chatting to a woman in a shop yesterday (was trying to pass some time, so quite happy to stop for a blether) and, for some reason, the fact I've been on a 'diet' for the last 9 months came up. She looked at me and said that it didn't look like I'd ever needed to be on a diet in my life! I thought it was quite sweet, but for all she knew I could have been 30 stone at the start so it did strike me as being slightly weird.

I then caught sight of myself in a full length mirror and decided my new jeans are rather flattering!

It wasn't an entirely great day, though. I'd had to go to town for an appointment at 11, had lunch out (burgers with no buns, though the chef took that to mean I didn't want the toppings either... Sad) then went to the supermarket to pick up a few bits and pieces. Got back to the bus stop to realise that the 2 o' clock bus doesn't run on a Thursday, and the next wasn't for 2.5 hours! I walked along to another cafe for a coffee, but got fed up of waiting so started walking. Got a good few miles down the road before the bus appeared. Problem was, among the shopping I'd bought was a 2 pint bottle of milk and a litre bottle of whisky. I weighed all the bags when I got home and that was 22lbs I'd carried 4 miles. My shoulders are still sore!

The amazing this is that I've lost that, plus another 50%, since May!

I'm still lurking despite not sticking to BC. Just found this recipe in a magazine and thought some of you might like it. Sprouts with marmite!

Bluntness100 · 16/03/2018 13:16

Afternoon all.

Love the weight loss pics! Some great progress.

Well I properly fell off the wagon last night. On purpose. Got home last night knackered and husband had made chilli and baked potatoes. I had both. Then followed it up with a large bar of galaxy. Oh yes and about three glasses of white wine. I was ok with doing it though. I did it because I wanted to.

However back on it today and committed. Back to booze free and will be back to the gym tomorrow. Still too knackered today to attempt the gym. The rowing machine is indeed blocking up the hallway too.

Interestingly my tummy hurt last night. Felt really full, bloated and uncomfortable, something I haven't felt since I started this. It just reminded me why this woe is more suitable for me personally.

StuntNun · 16/03/2018 16:37

BIWI not only fell off the wagon, she dragged it into the woods, set fire to it, and used the insurance money to buy cookies. Grin

prettybird · 16/03/2018 17:04

.....but she did it mindfully Grin

ShagMeRiggins · 16/03/2018 17:13

Speaking of wagons, I notice very little activity here. Is everyone busy rubbing dust from trousers after the fall?!

Or is it just because nice weather...

MelanieCheeks · 16/03/2018 17:17

I've got my kale crisps in the oven, and am making portabello pizza for dinner.

BlackMozart · 16/03/2018 17:22

Thanks for the tip Athel re magnesium. I need to sleep better so will try it at night.

BlackMozart · 16/03/2018 17:24

LOL stunt !
I am another one falling from grace sadly

MumOfAPickle · 16/03/2018 17:33

I'm here! Nothing very interesting to say though.....unless you want all the gossip from the school quiz controversy last night??

(Where I did have 2 glasses of wine but did not have the optional fish and chips and instead ate bolognese sauce with salad beforehand)

Rshard · 16/03/2018 17:35

I’m here and still on the wagon

TimeIhadaNameChange · 16/03/2018 17:39

What Happened at the quiz, Pickle?

prettybird · 16/03/2018 17:58

Some NSVs for me today: tried on some of my skirts and I can now wear them again Smile

Two of them are old skirts of my mum's: a Size 14 Boden denim "jeans style" straight skirt (which is long on me - just above the ankles) - which if anything is now too big for me; and a cream linen Olsen skirt (with nice beading at the bottom) which had been the skirt if been able to wear the longest as I put weight on (and as a result, the zip has been damaged so I need to replace it).

Another two are knee length Size 14 Boden summer skirts which I bought years ago but have only been able to wear intermittently.

The last one is button through heavy silk panelled skirt which my mum had made for me in Vietnam to replace a favourite Monsoon gored skirt that I'd literally worn out. I can get it on - just - but the buttons are still straining, so a few more pounds to go before I can wear it Smile It's a really flattering skirt so I look forward to wearing it again.

Given that I went last summer without a single skirt that I could wear, I'm now looking forward to warmer weather! Smile (Had a pair of cropped linen trousers in a size 16 that I could squeeze into and a couple of pairs of shorts for gardening in that I cut the size labels out of Blush and some jeans and that was it to get me through sunny days.

MumOfAPickle · 16/03/2018 18:13

Settle in, grab your pork scratchings 😁 This may be long and dull!!

So us and another team very close in scores all the way through (always us and this other team in top two I think. We've won the last two years, I think they won the 2 before that -competitive but genial). Gets to the end and looks like they've won by 2.5 points. All good but then my (very competitive) friend notices they've knocked 2 points off our music round and we knew thought we'd got them all right. Questioned it you know, just curious and turns out they've got out score mixed up with theirs. All very Oscars as they'd already gone up to get their prizes/have a pic taken....

There's more...just need to finish dc's tea....

StuntNun · 16/03/2018 18:23

Mozart it's magnesium glycinate that helps with sleep. Other forms of magnesium don't have the same effect.

MelanieCheeks · 16/03/2018 18:41

Ooooh pork scratchings! Where's the best place to find them?

MumOfAPickle · 16/03/2018 18:53

So all very awkward and a bit embarrassing but we went up, got the prizes etc. Then as everything was being cleared away, a friend from the other team slightly drunkenly said that another round was wrong too and that they should have won! I told her to say something to the organisers and she aid they knew but were going to leave it due to being embarrassed at their own incompetence All went home, I felt a bit bad and thought I might return the wine in the morning. So DH does school run this morning and is chatting to same friend and another from the other team, saying good quiz, shame about the shambles at the end etc etc. Quiz master (QM) comes over, joins in chat, DH says shame about the scoring going so wrong and QM says "well I'm pissed off at the people who walked out with the wine when they didn't deserve it" (obviously didn't recognise DH as once of those people 😲😬) DH manages to say well we took it because we were told we won! Then thinks he might lose his temper so just leaves!
Lots of what's app chat during the day ranging from my DH saying, take it back, I don't want it, I'm done to others saying sod it, their mistake I'm keeping it. Upshot is i took mine and Dh's wine back at pick up and gave it back to head of pta lady (who'd been there the night before). Said what QM had said and that we didn't feel comfortable keeping it. Said it had soured the night a bit as well (I basically love the school or any quiz!). She was mortified and very apologetic and I suspect he'll get pulled up for being a twat so all swell that ends well!!
