Morning all.

So we finally reach the last week.

I feel that this Bootcamp has been a pretty successful one overall, with lots of SVs and NSVs.

Next Monday will be our final weigh-in, so there's one more week to lose some of that pesky fat.

I hope it's a good week for you all

Rshard, go you! What a difference!

Today I weighed 161!!! 2lbs more and I'm in a healthy BMI. And although I know that's a fairly arbitrary boundary, considering I was at 35.5 when I started and am now at 25.2 that feels pretty fricking amazing. Plus yesterday I tried on a linen summer dress in Next. I bought the same dress last year in a 22 and had to return it because it was too tight. This time a 12 fitted perfectly.

ilovecherries · 15/03/2018 10:21

Although I did try on an 18, 16 and 14 before I got to the 12!

ilovecherries · 15/03/2018 10:24

And I didn't buy it, because I realised that by the time summer arrives, I may be a 10Shock

Grimbles · 15/03/2018 11:11

I'm ill Sad

I haven't been able to exercise and I just want to eat. Today's 18/6 is ruined already and I want cheese.

I'm gutted because I'm going to put weight on.

Rshard · 15/03/2018 11:40

Thanks guys!

Wow that’s amazing ilove, you’re so close to that healthy BMI. I am too, even though I also see it as an arbitrary number it’s still a goal

AthelstaneTheUnready · 15/03/2018 11:51

Wow, what a difference Rshard! That's a huge amount you've lost!

Time, it's so unfortunate, but I have to wait in for the repair man - only know he's coming 'today or tomorrow'. [very sad face indeed]

Cherries - or maybe an 8 Wink

Big hug for Grimbles - often your body needs more fuel to fight whatever it's fighting, so don't fret about it.

prettybird · 15/03/2018 12:06

I'd already delayed this from last month Blush but decided it was worth posting, to show now that I've finally got back to January's weight that it is possible to lose inches even when the scales aren't moving Smile

The other thing I notice, looking at my measurements over the months, that it would appear that my top half and my bottom half seem to take it in turns to reduce Confused This last couple of months it's been the turn of my top half including my boobs, at last Wink, whereas before Christmas it was my bottom half Confused

I've also attached a picture of front and side shots from November compared to yesterday. I must really have been sucking my stomach in in November as to my admittedly critical eye, I seem to have more of a belly yesterday Confused However, my waist is down 1.5" from November and my hips 2" down, so it must be my imagination Wink I'm also 10lb down since November, despite my lengthy stall. Smile

14/3/18
Waist 34"/86cm: -0.5" since Jan; 4" overall
Under bust 34"/86 : No change since Jan; -3" overall
Over bust 40"/101.5cm: -1" since Jan; -2" overall
Hips 42"/106.5cm: No change since Jan; -3.5" overall
Thigh 24"/61cm: No change since Jan; -1.5" overall
Calf 14"/ 35.5cm: -0.25" since Jan (new measurement)
Upper arm 11.75cm/30cm: -0.25" since Jan; 1.25" overall
Neck 14.25"/36.5cm: No change since Jan; -0.75" since September

Weight 11 stone 13lb (No change since Jan, -24lb since "start" - ie in August, when I started taking measurements, but -42lb from when I started in May)

prettybird · 15/03/2018 12:09

Rshard - those are great pictures to demonstrate your progress. It's not just your shirt no longer straining, but also the lack of muffin top in the second picture Smile

Rshard · 15/03/2018 12:12

Thanks athle I think about 20lbs difference.

I can definitely see the difference in your tummy prettybird, your belly button looks higher and more defined if that makes sense

AthelstaneTheUnready · 15/03/2018 14:10

Blimey, pretty, you look half the size in those front-on photo's. Your shoulders and waist are so trim, and your thighs so much smaller!

You're very brave to keep reminders - I don't have a single photo of me at my heaviest, and I'm going to keep it that way...

ShagMeRiggins · 15/03/2018 15:40

Wonderful photos — I love photos. They’re a reminder to everyone who isn’t losing weight every week or isn’t losing “enough” weight that this way of eating works and the results are dramatic. Again, that six months or year or whatever it takes to lose the weight will pass. Time will pass and it’s up to us whether we want to weigh less after that six months or be the same (or keep gaining, for some of us)

Rshard that shirt looks like it feels wonderful, cool and comfortable.

prettybird that’s “only” a 10lb loss but looks much more. Really shows the NSVs.

cherries very wise to hold off on the 12!

Well done all. Keep it coming...

Rshard · 15/03/2018 16:43

Thanks shagme, Gap.

Toots38 · 15/03/2018 20:31

Hope you don't mind me jumping in and asking when does the new bootcamp start?

mickeymacca · 15/03/2018 20:40

Those are lovely words stuntnun x

ilovecherries · 15/03/2018 20:45

Tonight I just could not face eating anything that had ever had a mother or a face. Had a FTGV microwaved with HM garlic butter and chilli. Was very yummy and probably had my 7 a day in one fell swoop. (And hopefully it will show a significant result in the morning BlushGrin)

ilovecherries · 15/03/2018 20:48

Your skin is holding up so well, prettybird. Mine is starting to lose the fight. The last half stone has done more damage than the previous 4.5, sadly.

BrassicaBabe · 15/03/2018 20:55

Fab photos!

Going to have a little rant....saw a long standing friend today. We see each other about 4-6 times a year. I weigh 9lbs less than I ever have (lost about a stone this time) and my shape has changed thanks to LCHF, taking up a new sport and regularly running 5k. I didn't need to talk about this all day, but she didn't even pass comment!!!

ShagMeRiggins · 15/03/2018 20:57

cherries I was talking to my masseuse Blush this afternoon. She’s 37 and looks 22.

We discussed how skin care is important but she treated a stroke victim once (essentially with facial physio) and became interested in how facial muscles contribute to youthful skin as much as external care, and good diet, etc.

Anyway, she agreed that facial yoga was a good thing and can be found on YouTube, but specifically recommended Lisa Eldridge for daily exercises that might make a difference.

Lisa Eldridge is 45 by the way. Don’t give up the fight.

ShagMeRiggins · 15/03/2018 21:04

Rshard that’s disappointing, but remember that some people don’t pass comment at all about weight, others feel embarrassed mentions a loss (a positive) because it inadvertently acknowledges the previous gain (a negative), and others simply don’t notice if they have other things on their minds!

ilovecherries · 15/03/2018 21:20

Oh, my face is actually ok (I think, I may be delusional on this point!). It's my stomach, arse and thighs that have taken a pounding.

ShagMeRiggins · 15/03/2018 21:24

Ah, I misunderstood! Well, there are exercises for those areas as well Wink #pilates #cellulitecreams #moisturemoisturemoisture

Twoo · 15/03/2018 21:30

Wow great photos peeps! What progress!

BerylStreep · 15/03/2018 21:40

Wow what amazing progress PrettyBird and Rshard!!

prettybird · 15/03/2018 22:43

Athelstane - I unfortunately do have pictures of me at my heaviest (Actually a few pounds off my heaviest as I'd already started back on HFLC) as I was at a wedding where not only was there an official photographer but my SIL was taking pictures. ShockBlush

The composite picture is of me (with dh cropped out Wink) at the end of May, at 1lb off 15 stone ShockBlush (in an outfit I'd been nearly in tears trying to find something, anything and ended up with size 18 trousers that "fitted") and then at the beginning of November at c13 stone Smile T'other picture is one of the ones that my otherwise lovely Wink SIL took at the wedding and posted up on Facebook.

But they're a useful motivation to see how far I've come.

I've had a few NSVs recently: was at a Knit'n'Natter event last week and a friend who hadn't seen me since October said, "Wow!" Grin She knew I am HFLCing as we'd joked at the last event that I'd only been able to eat the cream and ignore the scone & jam (as I had to do again last week). Also saw my db at the weekend, who I hadn't seen for months and commented on how good I was looking Smile. And then again on Tuesday at my Pilates class, one of the ladies, who'd been off ill (and then we had 2 weeks off due to snow) so hadn't seen me in a month asked if I'd lost yet more weight Smile (actually no, since I last saw her but it just shows how during a stall you can still lose inches Smile)

I've been doing the Ripped/Shred/back to Ripped DVDs 4-5 days a week since, I think, September (except for Christmas holidays, the October Week, the February break and snow days ie whenever ds is not at school Wink) I'm now on Level 4 again of the Ripped DVD (which includes burpees Shock) but last week when I started Level 3, I really suffered with a sore bum and sore inner thighs as a result. I consoled myself with the fact that it meant that the exercises must be having an effect! Grin

stunt thanks for the suggestion about magnesium. I will get myself a supplement. I am always knackered in the evening.

Great photos ladies. Not sure I will ever have any of those again. I had some professional ones done at the end of that VLCD that I did in 2012. They are lovely, but they are a fantasy to me right now ☹️
