Morning all Smile

Well done for reaching week 5, hopefully by now low carb eating should be pretty natural to everyone.

Just watch out for complacency, don't think "oh a wee bit won't hurt" it might!

If you need food inspiration (some people might find they are eating the same things and getting bored) check out the recipe thread or one if the many low carb/keto websites for ideas.

spreadsheet

Good luck everyone Smile

Yes! another 2lb down to 11st 1.9. Thats 6.6 lbs down this bootcamp and 13 lbs down in total!
Very happy!

Scabbersley · 06/11/2017 11:26

What is Lo Salt prettybird

ASDismynormality · 06/11/2017 11:27

A loss for me this week (after a slight gain last week) giving me a total of 6.5lbs lost so far this bootcamp - pretty good as I've been doing this since Jan. I hope by next week I will have broken the 14st 7lb barrier as I feel I've been hovering in and above it for a while now!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/11/2017 11:31

I use a silicon muffin tray and they just slide out Envy

Scabbs add the sesame oil. And well done for sticking to this, you're doing great. Now let's find you something else to drink...

Guy I've added your weight to spreadsheet.

cafe sorry to hear your bowels aren't agreeing with you. It really is amazing how instantaneous the effects of carbs can be. If I have, for example, a slice or two of pizza, I become 5 months pregnant overnight. Hmm

There are loads of other posters I wanted to acknowledge as I know it kind of sucks to post and be ignored, but I'm on my phone and haven't the will to go back and forth and up and down searching out names. Wanted to say I've read all the posts and am pleased for everyone, even the ones who STS or gained because we are all still here.

I'm 2.8 lbs up. WTF? There goes my 10 lbs off Low-vember!

prettybird · 06/11/2017 11:32

Lo-Salt is a reduced sodium salt with potassium instead. It's suppose to be for people reducing their salt consumption - but I got it to increase my potassium consumption.

You can find it beside the the salt in the supermarket aisle.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/11/2017 11:33

Wait, wait! It's only 1.8 lbs up!

Which brings my 4-week Bootcamp total weight loss to 1.6 lbs.

Almahart · 06/11/2017 11:46

Thank you Tempus

Velocity · 06/11/2017 12:11

The past 11 days have been challenging for this WOE. Broke rules twice to be polite (cake, champagne); went on holiday and had a couple of deliberate carb moments (and enjoyed it) and a couple of lazy carb moments (and didn’t enjoy it). Obviously I didn’t loose - gained a little but, not as much as I thought I would.

What was really interesting was the way that my relationship with hunger changed when back on the carbs. My body really craved more food when hungry whereas recently I can feel hungry but I don’t have an urgent desire to eat. The next couple of weeks will also be challenging food wise but I am re-defining the question ‘is (breaking the rules) worth it?’ I expect that increasingly it will not be worth it!

I am also feeling much better, less creaky, more alert - those are good NSV’s for me! So - KOKO!!

Rshard · 06/11/2017 12:21

hope the first day back at work is going well mimosa
Happy birthday black
starsky - so near goal wow!
11lbs to goal, that's awesome klep

I'm weighing in tomorrow when I can go to my Boots branch of choice

Congrats to all the SV's, NSV's and us all for kokoing!

Thanks for the shiny new thread sayyra

Blimey, it's much quicker and easier doing this on a pc rather than a phone!

BrassicaBabe · 06/11/2017 12:21

@Velocity did you spot the links in week 2 about what happens when you “cheat” and why? I found it really helpful. (Spent 5 mins trying to create a link via my phone and failed!) I was broadly “good” when on holiday but did choose to cheat once or twice. I found last week interesting in that it was more of an effort to stay on track. Managed to loose what I’d put on in the subsequent week (well, until last night and the blasted lamb and cauli cheese!)

thedayismine · 06/11/2017 12:22

Just skipping in to say I weighed yesterday and am 2lbs down so am on 7 lbs loss so far .. I feel over the moon with this as I am in no rush but am loving being back in control and heading downwards.
I am wearing some winter trousers today that I haven't worn much - and my DD told me I looked taller - do you think I could claim she meant slimmer and call that an NSV ? ! Possibly a bit of a stretch.
Sounds like I need to get sprouts on my list though it is my birthday this week too so there might be a couple of permitted deviations too !
Well done on all the losses and to those who are keeping the faith and KOKO
I am finding it helps me to think even if weight loss is slow at least we know this WOE is healthy and sustainable- and we aren't hiding from the scales while gaining weight - which is what my alternative state was .

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 06/11/2017 12:26

I need to be really careful about rule breaking / complacency as I don't get negative side effects from my lapses (so far). I ate toast on Saturday and woke up the next day feeling rested, energetic, slim and recorded my lowest weight for 2.5 years. So it would be very easy to get into the mindset of "a bit of toast once a week won't hurt".

Prettybird - do you get used to the taste of Lo-salt? I find it extremely bitter but have only ever used it occasionally (a local cafe has it instead of regular salt).

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 06/11/2017 12:28

Sorry, perhaps my last post sounded a bit smug, and possibly hurtful to those who have stuck to the WOE and not lost, that was not my intention at all, more an observation that I don't have the motivation of feeling bloated the next day which would probably be quite helpful, sorry . Really sorry.

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 06/11/2017 12:29

There are times when I really wish MN had an edit button Blush

sos1993 · 06/11/2017 12:34

Complacency- put 2 on!! Back to strict boot camp for next two weeks.

sos1993 · 06/11/2017 12:36

Onwards and upwards and well done everyone who has had a good week.

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 06/11/2017 12:39

1.5lb up on my lowest weight. Although to be honest I only saw that once and I think it might have been a bit of a fluke. I’m still 10lb down which is fantastic for a month so trying to focus on that.

I do feel leaner and my too tight Size 12s now do up and are very nearly wearable.

Well done everyone. KOKO

ilovecherries · 06/11/2017 12:48

Sing - well done! Yes, it's completely possible. I lost 21lbs on my first bootcamp. Although will be delighted to lose 10 on this one.

Scabbersley · 06/11/2017 12:55

I am sure everyone is different, but I ate carbs and it took a good week to show on the scales.

Frigglet · 06/11/2017 12:55

Ooh, forgot to ask; could someone kindly add my 1lb loss this week to the spreadsheet pls. Thx

prettybird · 06/11/2017 12:56

Wh0knows - no I don't. But the only thing I really have it on is brussels or cauliflower which, now my tastebuds have adapted Wink, I find quite sweet with the butter Shock, so I quite like the contrast with the "salt" Smile

Scabbersley · 06/11/2017 13:00

They are sweet! They are like salted toffees! God I love them Grin

RaininSummer · 06/11/2017 13:01

Lost a teeny bit more - very pleased they the elevens are sticking. Had a works do on Friday and survived buffet by eating tops of quiches, salad and no cake etc. The few drinks seem to have had minimal effect thank goodness.

TempusEejit · 06/11/2017 13:05

wh0knows if you don't like LoSalt try cream of tartar instead (from the supermarket baking section) which is also potassium based. Just dissolve 1/4 - 1/2 tsp in water.

singadream · 06/11/2017 13:16

good plan will buy one
