I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Rshard (waves) I'm Derbyshire too, just north of Derby in a large village.

So I've had a fun afternoon, one of my all time favourite foods is pickled herring, it's got a lot to do with my Jewish roots and helping my grandmother make pickled herrings in her kitchen. There were always herrings in my fridge but I haven't had any since starting LCHF except the jar I ate in Denmark.
I've searched everywhere but can't find any without sugar, so this afternoon I've been gutting herring which is now in a brine bath until tomorrow and I've picked shallots, cucumber, celery, baby corn and some pepper.

I'm trying to find food I enjoy. I did boot camp three years ago and didn't find it this hard.

I had two creamy coffees this morning which were yummy.

Lunch was a chicken. Guacamole and olive salad with Caesar dressing

Snack some chorizo and two chunks of cheese + three tiny squares of 99% chocolate (8g per 100)

Dinner was a pork stuffed with butternut squash thingy from Waitrose (5g) and some runner brand which were delicious

SayrraT · 16/10/2017 20:31

Who added the weight to kitten conversion on the spreadsheet? Grin

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 16/10/2017 20:35

C4 are the initials of your village LE?

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 16/10/2017 20:39

Can I join? I’ve just added myself to the spreadsheet. Have 5.5 stone to lose. Completely addicted to sugar. Anyway have been doing it along with you guys for a week but am having terrible carb cravings so thought I had better come in and post to keep myself on the straight and narrow!

B: total Greek yoghurt
L: was out so mussels to start and then half a chicken with garlic butter and green salad.

GrumpyOldFucker · 16/10/2017 20:45

@HolgerDanske I’m trying not to eat snacks.

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 20:49

Oh ok fair enough.

Have a little bit of cheese at the end of your meal instead? Might help to stave off the need for a snack later...

Rshard · 16/10/2017 20:52

Waves back to c4

We could have an East Midlands lchf meet-up!

nomore I wonder if you’re also in an LE?

wombattoo · 16/10/2017 21:04

Welcome Totty. Jump right in and ask away if you have questions

Sayrra Someone mentioned the kittens thing a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen it.

Carbydiem Enough with the wallowing, tomorrow is a new day wake up and put on some happy music, the louder the better. Keep posting, if you feel tempted then post here before you cave in and only make a decision when you've had three replies. You are losing weight at a good rate and it's easy to become bored with food if you eat the same things over and over again, most of us are guilty of getting stuck in a rut with what we eat it just takes a bit of effort and some inspiration from the diet thread to wake your tastebuds up
again. It's going to take some of us a long time to undo what it's taken us a lifetime to learn, I've been paralysed for almost eight years but sometimes I try and walk and fall flat on my face, I walked for over forty years so it's hardly surprising really. Eating the wrong way will take time to relearn, give yourself credit for just being here.
You deserve this so much KOKO

Nomore are you stalking me? Very close but no I don't live there.

C4rollinandventing · 16/10/2017 21:07

Welcome back youcantscareme

Totty welcome

feekerry · 16/10/2017 21:20

I didn't lose. I have eaten too much processed food, too many carb replacement/fake foods

Mimosa1 · 16/10/2017 21:21

I've been ravenously hungry today which is very unusual for me on this woe. I haven't had very carby food but in large quantities so probably too many carbs overall. Could this be a hangover from too many carbs earlier in the week? The thing I love about this WOE is NOT being hungry grrr..

Veryflummoxed · 16/10/2017 21:22

That’s fantastic Cherry.
I have come back on to confess. I have returned to the kitchen several times tonight to pick at the left over beef stir fry. Not quite sure why I’ve felt the need today but have been hungrier than usual despite having three meals rather than my usual two.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 16/10/2017 21:25

Ok, I give up c4. No, I’m not stalking you, just there’s a few of us East Midlanders on here - aye up me ducks

cafeaulaitpourvous · 16/10/2017 21:30

@NOMOREoatcakesandcheese canst tha ki ka bow aginst a wow an bostit?

Giraffeski · 16/10/2017 21:32

Holger thats true - I LOVE sardine pate and used to have at least once a week), I totally hadn't thought of that and would make a nice snack or lunch,

...although... I think they normally bring the little portions out with bread before a meal, so maybe I can't whip the celery sticks out of my pocket in the nicer restaurants....Grin

Giraffeski · 16/10/2017 21:33

How many celeriac chips are too many? Blush

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 21:33

Heh! But you could maybe ask them if they could slice you up half a cucumber instead. It might work!

HolgerDanske · 16/10/2017 21:34

Mmmmm I love celeriac.

I haven't had any yet since I started LCing again!

C4rollinandventing · 16/10/2017 21:53

Nomore you were very very close and I was joking about stalking.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 16/10/2017 21:54

C4 i can Smile

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 16/10/2017 21:55

I know. It’s just I’m nosey Smile

ponygirlcurtis · 16/10/2017 21:56

Giraffeski, I have just discovered the celeriac chips on the recipe thread and I agree. I think I could cheerfully eat a whole celeriac, they are delicious! I am a real veg fan but I had somehow never had celeriac prior to this. Blimmin Tesco online delivery don't seem to do them though so I shall have to stock up from Sainsbury's.

Hippadippadation · 16/10/2017 22:07

I tried to organise an LCHF East Mids meet up but it never came off. I'd totally be up for it!
