I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Checking in for final day of my week one (started late). Did a sneaky weigh in which looks very positive but will do it officially in the morning!
Am hoping to sneak another quarter of a pound off today as currently I am stuck at a weight that I have never got below since having my DS so am determined to crack it!

Today's food:
B: spinach and cream cheese omlette
L: halloumi and salad
D: family over for roast dinner, I'm having a selection of veg with a stilton sauce and will avoid the pudding!

Am also baking today for an event and for the first time I don't feel remotely tempted by any of the stuff, which is a revelation!

BIWI thanks for quorn advice. It definitely won't be a regular addition to my diet, and will only do the plain fillets or chunks, not all the over carby stuff.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 12:07

For those cooking with quorn, have you considered tofu?

I don't think it's all that processed from its soy bean origins, it's a similar carb count to quorn, it does contain protein, it absorbs flavours very well in a dish, and it's been around for about a millennia.

You can even make your own to ensure authenticity!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 12:16

Kleptronic if you're looking for light, crunchy, and zesty have you considered experimenting with Asian cuisines (Far East)?

Not loads of fat but you can cook with extra oils if you like. I find the combination of spices and herbs used in Vietnamese and Thai dishes to be amazing. Always gives my mouth an interesting experience!

And the veg is often finely shredded or cut so can be slightly higher carb count but in much, much smaller amounts.

It's worth a google. Wink

Scabbersley · 22/10/2017 12:22

I've been feeling very poorly and today I have a sore throat. Had a wine craving last night but didn't cave.

Just bought myself a chicory based coffee substitute. Just had a cup with cream,it was nice but it's hugely carby Shock gutted.

princessbear80 · 22/10/2017 12:24

@furryturnip I'm also checking in for my last day of week one. It's going well so far. Yesterday I almost forgot to eat lunch as I just wasn't hungry - that never happens!
My toddler stuffed some pasta in my mouth yesterday, but I managed to sneak it out without him noticing. Have teenage SS here this weekend, so there's more sweets and biscuits here than usual, but I'm finding I don't want them. It's weird!! The real test will be today - out to an Italian restaurant for MIL's birthday. Have checked the menu and there's plenty of meat/fish + veg options so should be ok.

Looking forward to trying some of the recipes, esp the aubergine curry and also the celeriac and leek mash. Thanks all!

@Lenl good luck with the half marathon training. I did one just before starting BC, I'll be interested to see how you get on with the long runs with low carbs.

Sorry for the ramble!

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 22/10/2017 12:25

Oh B##ger!!! I forgot that I can’t blend my soup because ...........the blender is packed away in storage .........half our kitchen is packed away while we get our extension done.
Oh well, I’ll have a go at mashing it up with a fork through the colander. I quite like lumpy soups anyway

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 12:26

I've been very up and down this week. Daily weigher and recorded a brilliant number on Wednesday that had me feeling fabulously skinny but followed by the ensuing days without a "movement". Angry

I really don't want to weigh in tomorrow with four days (and counting) worth of food in my body.

My clever solution last Bootcamp was to just skip the Monday weigh in and wait until Tuesday (almost like clockwork that Tuesday poo Hmm). Sure, sure, it gives me an extra day and that might be cheating but I figure a) this isn't a competition and b) no one gives a toss how much weight I've lost except me. Grin

To anyone that is Shock at no poo for this long, be reassured that this woe has changed my patterns from a daily smelly elimination to every 2-3 days and practically smelling of roses so it's not uncomfortable. Just annoying because it will affect my weigh-in.

Sooo sorry for TMI, but it's important we talk about all effects on our bodies (she said, justifying this post). Blush

KOKO, ya beauties.

CremeDeSudo · 22/10/2017 12:41

Yesterday I had the Diet Doctor Thai Fish Curry for tea (very nice by the way!) and had have a tin of coconut milk left over. I'd put it in fridge to use with something else and this morning it had gone hard and I thought I'd try it in coffee. Two dessert spoons of coconut milk and a little bit of cream - it was lush! Highly recommended Smile

Lost another lb this morning - hopefully it won't disappear for official weigh in tomorrow! That'll be 2lb this week though, so I'm feeling much happier Grin I would love to see the 12's again! 1.5lb til I do!

Kleptronic · 22/10/2017 12:55

Great minds ClearEyes I bought some tofu yesterday! :)

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 22/10/2017 13:05

Cleareyes I’m with you there as I don’t seem to go that often and I prefer to weigh myself on a Tuesday for the same reason.** I’ve been weighing myself every day and it does fluctuate - but generally it’s going down

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 13:33

klep Grin. Enjoy.

oatcakes it's like my body says "Monday's coming! Monday's coming! All systems shit down!" Confused

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 13:34

Oh bugger. That was supposed to say shut down. Ha ha ha!

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 22/10/2017 13:42

I thought I was a pun 😀 Cleareyes

Frigglet · 22/10/2017 13:48

Hope you’re all having a good weekend. Great to see al the pics and recipes. I’ve never had celeriac and don’t even know what it is, but I’m going to look out for it so I can try it as mash tomorrow.

Checking in:
B - scrambled egg and bacon
L - pork chop and avocado on a bed of spinach
D - cauliflower couscous and shredded beef in a creamy sauce

I’ve to increase my water intake considerably- how much is too much please?

Thankfully have not had any cravings, which is remarkable, but I will admit that I’m a little nervous about tomorrow’s weigh-in.

I can still see quite a bit of difference in my body shape, but the one area I’d like to be leaner without resorting to exercise or liposuction (only half joking, bar the cost 😀) is my legs / thighs. But they’ve always been my problem area. I now seem to have a flat stomach, which I’m thrilled about, but would definitely forego some of that and trade for leaner legs. I’d definitely welcome any tips.

Hippadippadation · 22/10/2017 14:16

Leaner legs is all down to toning (I say this as an extreme pear shape) I'm afraid. I do pilates, strength, running and yoga and I'm still not happy with mine!

Scabbersley · 22/10/2017 14:17

And natural body shape.I was a very high level athlete back in the day and still and hockey player legs Confused

FurryTurnip · 22/10/2017 14:25

ClearEyes I do use tofu too, and agree much prefer it as it's less processed. Had tofu in Thai curry yesterday. Just occasionally fancy quorn for something with a different texture!

FurryTurnip · 22/10/2017 14:28

Princess good luck with your week one weigh in too! Funnily enough today is the first day I've really not fancied eating lunch...really reduced appetite now...which I suppose is a good thing!

InkyToesies · 22/10/2017 14:48

@Ilove cherries Thank you for the cauliflower cheese recipe. IVe got all the stuff in, though broccoli rather than cauliflower, so will make it this evening. Sounds yum.

@ChinchillaFur Thank you for the keto waffle recipe. Sounds excellent! Will look out for a cheapo waffle maker in Aldi / Lidl and have a go.

Frigglet · 22/10/2017 15:20

Thanks Hip and Scab for your insight...and with that, lazy bugger that I am, I won’t bother with the exercise route. 😀

ClearEyesFullHearts · 22/10/2017 15:57

I do understand, Furry. Wouldn't use quorn in a Thai recipe but wouldn't use tofu in a burrito. #textureiskey

Thiswillbemyusername · 22/10/2017 16:37

I have never seen a celeriac Sad I feel so uncultured. They're never in aldi or tesco

BIWI · 22/10/2017 17:29

LOL at system shit down Grin

Celeriac is quietly becoming quite a trendy vegetable - I see it more and more on restaurant menus. It's definitely worth seeking out. And if you find one, there are some lovely recipes on the Bootcamp recipe thread - including my personal favourite for tartiflette (traditionally made with potato).

DrDiva · 22/10/2017 17:56

My stomach girth is the main reason I am doing this WOE,- I put all my weight on round my waist (upside - I have great legs, even if I say so myself! Grin ) so look like a cream puff on toothpicks. You know that measurement thing that says women should be under 31.5" around the middle, regardless of height? I am dead on the 31.5. Though I don't quite understand the rationale that says a woman at 6' needs to have the same waist measurement as someone who is 4'8"... if someone could explain that one, it'd be great!
Having said that, I definitely need to tone up. I have post C-section muscles. As in, none...
