I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Thanks for posting the pics. I've lost nothing so far this week and I have to admit that it is totally my own fault. I have had wine twice, berries once and dark chocolate about five times (99% but chocolate none the less). So essentially I have gone into boot camp light and of course I'm not seeing the results I'd like.

On the positive side I lost 6ibs in the first week and am not snacking at all now

YoLoNovVitMe · 21/10/2017 15:56

Lthewife interesting about the arms. I had never realised that.

rshard this recipe says to use the courgettes are but drain off all the liquid that seeps out during cooking. That sounds like a sure way to get lasagne on the floor if it were me doing it. I usually prebake the courgette strips drizzled with oil first.

Amazing before/after photo. Such a difference!

Holiday challenge #1 nailed...drive through McDonald’s. Everyone had a meal. I abstained!

Arrived and had a chunk of cheese until food delivery arrives. Surrounded by sodding bread, cakes and crisps. Really don’t want to spend the week fixating on food. Honestly meant to pack bathroom scales but then forgot (daily weigher here).

SayrraT · 21/10/2017 16:22

ragz Shock you look great! Well done!!

Rshard · 21/10/2017 16:43

Thanks yolo, I would definitely drop the whole think trying to drain courgette juice! I might slice the first and cover with kitchen roll

Gammeldragz · 21/10/2017 16:50

Thanks everyone, I've got about a stone to go... We'll see. Side view tells a different story lol
BIWI. Beef isn't a bad idea as that's not something I'd cook myself. Not fussed about Yorkshire pud, rather have more veg cheesecake so I will go for that and cheese. Red wine and vodka soda (this party is the only time I get properly drunk!).

StuntNun · 21/10/2017 16:51

I had two brilliant NSVs today while shopping for clothes. I tried on a black dress in Bravissimo but decided it looked too frumpy. After not being able to find anything else in other shops I went back and tried it on and decided it actually looked okay. Blow me down if I hadn't picked up a size 10 instead of a 12 the second time around! Then I tried on a jacket in Monsoon and when I asked the sales assistant whether it went with the dress she said, Yes but you need a smaller size, and went to get me a size 10! I'm so glad to have my outfit for the funeral sorted. Just got to make sure I remember my Spanx!

ragz. That's amazing, huge difference there!

prettybird · 21/10/2017 17:12

I don't pre-cook the courgettes when I use them as my "pasta" in lasagne. But I do slice (using a cheese slice) around the watery central seed "core" and discard it.

BTW - apologies for my cryptic "Late" comment at 12.41 Blush - that must have been a random autocorrect for random letters that somehow got posted while I was with ds at Aberdeen Uni possibly when I took my phone out of my back pocket to go to the loo Blush

Done a shedload of walking today and managed, despite being away from home to drink c2l so far today. Had a babybel, a pepperami at "lunchtime" and then, while we were waiting for the train home, a skin-on butterflied chicken breast and coleslaw at Nando's Smile Steak, celeriac chips and brussels tonight after Strictly Smile

Veryflummoxed · 21/10/2017 17:30

BIWI · 21/10/2017 17:38

Does anyone know whether Quark is a soft cheese we can have on boot camp? With a friend who is doing slimming world and challenge finding stuff we can both eat 🙄

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 21/10/2017 18:19

You both look Great Ragz and Stunt.
Can anybody point me in the direction of a recipe for chicken soup, please. I have the chicken and some leeks - what else?

CarbyDeadUn · 21/10/2017 18:23

Fabulous photos. Looking bloody good.
I’ve had a splendid day and going to make meatzza. I really don’t know why is was so horribly negative at the beginning of the week. Weird.

BIWI · 21/10/2017 18:30

@Lizard202 Quark is a 0% fat cheese, and has 4.2g carbs per 100g.

You'd be better off buying full fat Phialdelphia for you - it's 4g carbs per 100g, but 21.5g fat.

It's very hard to match SW with LC!

Glad you’re feeling better Carby

Lunch today was left over burger with cheese ,hm coleslaw, iceburg, cucumber,

Snack. Celery and cream cheese. Couple of mouth fulls.

Dinner will be butter chicken (I can’t wait) and low carb veg. Not sure what.

YoLoNovVitMe · 21/10/2017 19:04

nomore i would chop and gently fry the leeks and chicken (and a little bit of bacon) in butter or cold pressed rapeseed oil (plus any other lc veg you want to chuck in too) and then add a load of stock. Bring to boil and then simmer til all cooked through. Then whizz with a stick blender. I use half and half veg and chicken stock. Add salt and pepper to taste. And a dash of fresh chopped parsley at the end along with a swirl of cream or ff yog to serve.

Thiswillbemyusername · 21/10/2017 19:08

Everyone is looking fantastic in their photos Smile

Dinner today was broccoli and gorgonzola soup, bloody lovely!

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 21/10/2017 19:10

Thanks Yolo I’ll get cracking in it. I fancy some hot soup on this wintry windy day

YoLoNovVitMe · 21/10/2017 19:21

nomore i just basically described what I was doing! Except mine is made with a stir fry veg pack because i just couldn't face chopping veg today. It had some high carb veg in but overall was less than 5g per 100g esp after adding the stock.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 21/10/2017 19:38

Looks delicious. Yolo

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 21/10/2017 20:41

My NSV is that I am waking up in the mornings not feeling hungover from eating rubbish (mainly sugar) and have energy to run around after my children. We are on holiday in Devon and I chased them on the beach earlier. When we came in the summer, I sat on a towel and watched it all going on around me.

B: bacon and eggs
L: hake with a cream, bacon and leek sauce and vegetable

prettybird · 21/10/2017 21:42

My supper tonight: steak, fried shallots, brussel sprouts microwaved with butter, celeriac chips tossed in olive oil and parmesan.

Yummy.

And I resisted a glass from the bottle of La Couronne Pinotage that dh opened. It's one of my favourite wines from the selection that we sell - it reminds me of Jayer-Gilles Pinot Noir, which is a top notch French burgundy as well as being my favourite wine . Wine As I said to dh, I know what it tastes like and we can always get more in stock. Halo

Off to drink more water Grin

Evening all! I hope bootcamp is going well for everybody. I've been living out of a suitcase for a week and have tried my best to stick to bootcamp. On the plus side I've not eaten much and have drunk lots of water!

ilovecherries · 21/10/2017 21:57

I made low carb cauliflower cheese to go with dinner tonight, along with spinach and lamb steaks. I thought mum and dad probably wouldn't like it, so also made them mash. As my dad gazed into the empty dish afterwards he said longingly 'when you put that cauliflower down, I thought it was far too much for just 4 of us, but it was just SO delicious. My mum agreed that it was the best cauliflower cheese she'd ever tasted. Oh well, will need to think again about a portable lunch for me tomorrow. Grin

Stunt you look great.

Prettybird lets smash those 12s and sail into the 11s for Hogmanay.
