I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

Mornin all. Is there any new updates on C4?
Monkey you can get psyllium husks from Holland and Barrett. I got them online from Natures Best. Basically you mix a dessert spoonful with water and drink it. Don’t do what I did and take it everyday and end up with cramps in my stomach after a week. I take magnesium pills for constipation too. And drink plenty of water and veg for the fibre.

Thinking about all of those who are feeling they’re going to struggle to keep to BC rules over half term and family events - just keep saying no thank you like a broken record. My first weekend on bc I went to my in laws for the weekend and they’re like the diet breakers from hell - they virtually try to force food onto you and won’t accept NO. I’d told myself I wasn’t going off bc no matter what as I knew that I’d succumbed many times before to their pushing food at me and making comments about me verging on being anorexic (at 2 stone overweight??) I explained that I wasn’t eating carbs and why and spent the weekend saying “no thanks” At the end of the weekend I was almost in tears and felt really got at by them and I told my DH I wasn’t going to their house again!! They’d rather I was fat, unhealthy and unhappy rather than slim healthy and happy.
My point is that having got through this weekend with them and Not succumbed I feel I can deal with any temptation that gets thrown at me again.

I find it helps me to look at my potential triggers for hitting the carbs and plan ahead. I know it’s when I’m with the in laws as I’ve given up on many a diet because I’ve let them give me cakes biscuits etc I didn’t want to offend them so I eat their carb rubbish. I let it happen, it was my choice and no one else’s.

But who is upset if you lapse into being a carbytwat - no one but you

That’s me done.

We’re looking after a friends dog today while they go off to a uni open day. So it two black labs two - double trouble Smile I’ll try and get a pic of them and post it

Thanks all but I can't take credit for the link, another bootcamper linked it in a previous thread, I think Grah but apologies if I have mis-credited. I saved it as it really made a lot of sense and helped me a lot.

I also really like what prettybird said earlier in the thread, ask yourself the question "Will I have another occasion to eat this treat?"
I'm not planning on going back to eating lots of carbs once I am at target weight, but I will allow myself an occasional treat and will have the opportunity to have fish & chips at some point in the future and so can so no to that now, but a special meal in a restaurant I won't get a chance to go back to I did allow as a one off, luckily posh restaurants tend to serve pretty low carb dishes, so it wasn't too bad, apart from the 2 desserts, champagne and wine!

I'm planning roasted chicken thighs with celeriac dauphinoise for dinner, I love potato daupinoise, so have high hopes and am really excited about it!

Morning Bootcampers - off on a weekend away with lunch out, hotel dinner, hotel breakfast and another lunch! But as long as I make good choices it will be fine, might even get in a couple of walks (if the rain stays off). I am currently sitting at around 1.5lbs down from last Monday so if I can hold onto that or thereabouts I will be happy. Smile

Have good weekends everyone, and make good choices.

Thought I would do a before and after photo, as I have a before photo in the same dress that I wore this week. This is the first proper after photo I've taken, I'd been waiting as didn't want to be disappointed in case they didn't look much different!

Scabbersley · 21/10/2017 10:46

You look fabulous starsky!

I feel terrible today. Sore ears, shaky as though I am getting flu. Not looking forward to a day outside in this weather Confused

Kleptronic · 21/10/2017 10:52

Wow Starsky you look ace!

InkyToesies · 21/10/2017 10:57

Wow Starsky' you look terrific! Huge well done! You must be very proud, and if you're not, you should be. This is just the sort of motivation I need. May I be cheeky and ask the time in e.g. weeks between the pics?

InkyToesies · 21/10/2017 10:59

@Starsky PS! I've just noticed, you can even see the difference in your legs!

Veryflummoxed · 21/10/2017 11:01

RaininSummer · 21/10/2017 11:03

YoLoNovVitMe · 21/10/2017 11:03

Gorgeous dress and you look fab in it starsky .

Love the potty backdrop! Wink

SayrraT · 21/10/2017 11:05

starsky you look amazing! Shock

starsky22 · 21/10/2017 11:11

Thank you all for your kind comments, I really do appreciate it and it's given me a massive boost! Grin

The before photo was actually taken last year (for another attempted and failed weight loss challenge) but I was the same weight then as I was when I started bootcamp. I've been doing bootcamp now for 17 weeks and have lost 29lbs in total.

I joined the last bootcamp a few weeks late, but did the 2 weeks strict bootcamp and then moved to BC lite and continued with that in between bootcamps. I remember seeing amazing before and after photos when I first joined and found them very inspiring, so I hope mine help others too. I honestly could not have done it without all the advice and support I have received on these threads. So thank you bootcampers! Glitterball

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 21/10/2017 11:12

Starsky You can see a big difference - even on your arms! Well done 💐

starsky22 · 21/10/2017 11:16

Ha, yes sorry about the potty, not the best background!

I keep noticing little differences, like the fact my dress is now longer because there are less boobs and tummy to cover and that my watch is now hanging off my wrist when it was tight before! Shows why it's a good idea to take those photos!

prettybird · 21/10/2017 12:40

Late

Mimosa1 · 21/10/2017 13:01

Good afternoon everyone.

Starsky what fabulous photos and progress! I'm going to ask my DH to take photos today so that hopefully I'll be able to post some good after ones at the end of bootcamp :) He's just bought me a lovely new water bottle that should help with water intake.

I'm up 400g today for no discernible reason (well I didn't have enough water yesterday so that might be it) but as I'm a daily weigher the fluctuations don't bother me too much.

DH is on the sofa with a bad cold and I hurt my back yesterday when the buggy collapsed on some steep stairs and i caught it and the baby awkwardly so we're having a lazy day in and my toddler is watching far too much Paw Patrol. If I feel better, I'll take her to the park this afternoon.

Koko all and best to C4

LtheWife · 21/10/2017 13:01

That’s a great before and after Starsky well done! Also look at the difference in rotation of your arms/hands. The more overweight someone is the more you see of the back of their hands pointing forward when their arms are hanging by their side. As the weight comes off the arms start to rotate and the thumb begins to point forward instead.

Rshard · 21/10/2017 13:25

Wow starsky you should be really proud of yourself.
