I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

A, thank you for the update, I'd just logged in to wish C4 well, so please tell her I'm another one doing what passes for praying for her and good wishes also to her DH and you Flowers

C4rollinandventing · 19/10/2017 16:25

I'm just about to go off duty, there is good and bad news. Infection markers are lower than expected but about 30% of her lung volume is currently fluid. She has had a central line put in for antibiotics and antivirals and they are going to drain her lungs. She is barely conscious but when they told her she might need to be intubated and may need a tracheotomy she told her consultant to F**k off.
Husband, sons and various daughter in laws/partners ex partners are here.

I have watched this lovely lady go through so much and if anyone knew what a daily struggle she has just to live a life that nobody would want they would be very humbled. She is the best boss I've ever had, she has given me self confidence and self belief and was responsible for getting rid of my abusive ex and making my family safe.
She is the most intelligent person I've ever met and is so brave and determined, I love her wit and her comebacks to people are fantastic, and she has raised some of the nicest people I've ever met.

I will update again tomorrow when I get to the hospital.

A

Kleptronic · 19/10/2017 16:30

She thinks you are absolutely wonderful too A, she told us. Thank you for the update, and all you do for her.

Velocity · 19/10/2017 16:33

Thanks for the C4 updates - will be praying

thedayismine · 19/10/2017 16:35

Goodness me just came on to post but all I can say now is will be praying for C4 - I was only thinking earlier that she has been such a strong voice on these threads .
Thanks for the updates.
Keep fighting C4.

Tiddlywinks63 · 19/10/2017 16:37

Thank you A.
Delurking to say everything crossed for C4, what an inspirational and indomitable lady.
Very much thinking of her and her family Flowers x

SayrraT · 19/10/2017 16:54

theday you can still post about whatever you were planning on posting about.

Scabbersley · 19/10/2017 17:05

I don't know C4 but praying for her. Poor woman x

prettybird · 19/10/2017 17:11

Thank you for the update A - and what heartfelt compliments about your boss Flowers I'm sure you are lovely too! Smile

C4 would want us to continue supporting each other on our Boot Camp journey, so people, don't feel you can't share your challenges or celebrate your SVs and NSVs. We would get a right telling off from her if she felt that we'd stopped because we were worried about her.

So I'll celebrate reaching 13 stone zero pounds - last seen on 15 February 2016! Grin

Thiswillbemyusername · 19/10/2017 17:15

Sorry to hear about C4, wishing her a speedy recovery Flowers

D: sea bream with roast vegetables
S: pork scratchings, clementine

I've started to introduce fruit again (I've been low carb about two weeks now and have got passed sugar cravings so I feel the time is right). I didn't have any headaches eating a Clementine as I did when I had the cherry cordial so I'm happy about that.

Kleptronic · 19/10/2017 17:17

Well in prettybird great scale victory! And you're right, C4 doesn't want her health circumstances to get in the way of her doing stuff and I reckon she'd be livid if we let the current situation get in the way of Bootcamp.

KOKO everyone Flowers

SayrraT · 19/10/2017 17:18

Exactly pretty and well done Grin

this if you are having some fruit it's probably best to stick with berries (if you can get them) or check out the spreadsheet for lower carb options. I'm not sure where a clementine sits on the scale.

Scabbersley · 19/10/2017 17:18

well done prettybird

My NSV today was going to Wagamama with dd and NOT having any carbs - I don't think!!

Wok Fried Greens - sauce was a bit suspiciously gloopy and may have had sugar in it
Bang Bang Cauliflower - DELICIOUS. Roasted cauliflower very spicy however the chilli sauce deffo had sugar in - sorry, best I could do.
Miso Soup and pickles - YUM
Cold beef starter - boring but definitely LCHF as came with a bit of mayo
Had a a large bottle of fizzy water to drink and didnt feel deprived in the slightest.

Am now about to go and buy a box of Krispy kremes for her birthday cake Shock that is going to be a killer.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 19/10/2017 17:21

Is there any way we would be able to send some flowers or something to C4? Just to let her know we're thinking of her.

Mimosa1 · 19/10/2017 17:31

Oh dear I'm so sorry to read about c4, thank you A for updating and C4's DH for thinking of it. I'm thinking of her and her friends and family.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 19/10/2017 17:39

A thanks for the update.* I’ve been checked MF on and off since you r last update as I was feeling worried. It’s sound lovely ke sh s not lost her spirit and fight. You’re both very lucky to have each other.* Try to have a relaxing evening as you’re probably v tired and stressed yourself

Im thinking of C4and her family tonight

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 19/10/2017 17:40

Sorry Predictive text and the bold gremlin !!

SayrraT · 19/10/2017 17:53

Just to let you know I've updated the fruit and veg list on the spreadsheet and reordered by carb count. I've also colour coded it so hopeful that it is easy to understand.

This is NOT an allowed list but thought it's useful to see the carbs in some higher fruit/veg so that you know why we say "no bananas!".

Rshard · 19/10/2017 17:53

Awesome work prettybird and scabbersley

B - ff total yoghurt
L - egg muffins rocket spinach lettuce cucumber dollop mayo
D - 2 bacon, scrambled eggs and mushrooms both cooked in butter
1.5l water

Does anyone treat themselves when reaching their weight loss goals?

SayrraT · 19/10/2017 17:53

Let me know if anything is missing or if you think counts are incorrect.

RaininSummer · 19/10/2017 17:57

Poor C4 what crappy news.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 19/10/2017 18:06

Thanks Sayrra
Wombattoo thank you for your kind comments. The welcome I got from you and all the BCers when I started really helped me to get motivated.

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 19/10/2017 18:06

Oh the updated fruit list and the colour coding is FAB. I was just wondering about lemons as well!

prettybird · 19/10/2017 18:13

Rshard - I promised myself a cut and colour when I'd lost a stone. In the event, I'd lost a stone and a half by the time I'd made an appointment. Smile

Haven't thought what to do when I've lost 2 stone - but when I've lost another stone from my last hair appointment (ie another 8lb from where I am now), I can get another cut and colour. Might put it off until Christmas (would be wonderful if that were 3 stone since I started but probably a bit much of an ask Shock) as that's traditionally when I get my hair done (my Christmas Eve treat)
