I love this week, because this is when all the naysayers and doubters realise that this WOE really works!

(... and those who've cheated realise that that really doesn't work Wink)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to record your first loss

I missed most of this weekend as I have my very lovely SIL staying with us, prior to her leaving for a 6 month stint in Australia. So I haven't been able to be as glued to the laptop as I am usually.

Glad to hear that some of you have reported in good losses already - I'll look forward to hearing the rest today!

Good luck everyone, for this second week. Hopefully after a good first week you'll know it's worth it Flowers

I was 12.13 this morning. No doubt will back over 13 tomorrow. Ive be n bouncing about here for three weeks now.

Carby I know it's depressing losing weight very slowly, but just to add to what I said yesterday (will try to add the photos this evening if you guys are unlucky!):

There's a photo of me I took in June, wearing size 12 jeans that are obviously too tight (I refused to buy a 14), and a size 10 top which is bunched up over my hips. Only have the photo as I needed a new passport.

Last week I ordered a new skirt in an 8, with the intention of slimming down into it. It arrived yesterday, and I tried it on. Blow me away not only can I do it up but it doesn't highlight my saggy belly, it just skims over it (I know, I took another photo)! So, in 4 months I've gone from basically a 14 to an 8. But I've 'only' lost 1st 1lb in that time. That's less than 1lb a week.

Yes, it's a slow loss but, honestly, you'll see results.

ASDismynormality - well done for avoiding the cake - but if I have understood this way of eating correctly, it is actually the raspberries rather than the cream (if it was double cream) which would have done you more harm in the long run!

FurryTurnip · 17/10/2017 09:49

Thanks Wombattoo for adding me to the spreadsheet.

Day 1 went well:

B: Greek yogurt and cream
L: courgettes and portobello mushrooms fried in butter and topped with stilton (gorgeous)
D: cauliflower rice, buttered spinach and halloumi

Managed a hilly run, felt better than I expected!

Hi to Rshard, nomore and c4 I'm in derbyshire too!

Thiswillbemyusername · 17/10/2017 09:55

Another east midlander here! (Nottingham) how random that there's so many

My weight has stayed very stable this past week which leads me to think I might have found my ideal body weight. My extra fat has disappeared (hence the initial drop) and what's left is whatever weight I'm supposed to be. My bmi is 22 so I don't necessarily need to lose anymore but this WOE is needed to keep it stable.

It's weird not seeing it fluctuate every day though. I ate loads last night and I believed I was going to gain weight today but nope. Maybe since they were low carb snacks they don't affect me so bad now?

B today: scrambled eggs w/ epoisse, sautéed mushrooms and bacon. Delish and I'm so full.

Rshard · 17/10/2017 10:18

Hello furry and thiswillbemyusername So many east midlanders here!

My bacon has made me so thirsty this morning, so drinking water like crazy!

Scabbersley · 17/10/2017 10:27

B: scrambled eggs with butter and a cooked cold sausage chopped up and mixed in

L: god knows

D: god knows

Scabbersley · 17/10/2017 10:27

actually lunch will be broccoli and bare naked noodles with either an egg or chicken or both.

cafeaulaitpourvous · 17/10/2017 12:16

I am going to a Wagamama this weekend - never been before.

Can anyone recommend something tasty - I eat anything btw!

cafeaulaitpourvous · 17/10/2017 12:17

Tasty and low carb

cafeaulaitpourvous · 17/10/2017 12:17

Thank you

Starsky, gammeldragz like I said he does have his moments, I think he was trying to soften the blow of last nights news, he's off to America on Monday for 13 days.
It has also filled me with anxiety because I know I should really force myself to go into Derby or Nottingham to have a good look round and I hate going out in public.
Lola is doing her best to cure me as I now have to walk her everyday which I love, she refuses to walk until we're at the nature reserve which makes me feel better.
I have to work out how to make time for working in my studio and having a puppy.

Hippa I'm in if you want to try again, it looks as if Nottingham would be a good place to meet, I think we should just name the date and place and if it's just the two of us, so be it.

prettybird · 17/10/2017 12:44

Thiswillbemyusername - I love Epoisses! Grin Fortunately, so does dh! Wink

ASDismynormality · 17/10/2017 12:50

Eek, my blood glut has risen from 38 to 40 in the last 4 months, will have to really cut back and avoid fruit altogether. I've continued to lose weight and have stuck to low carb so am obviously disappointed it's risen slightly.

Rshard · 17/10/2017 12:51

c4, hippa I’m up for a meet.

Also c4, I’m in derby most days for work, so if you do force yourself out while DH is away, more than happy to have a coffee

C4rollinandventing · 17/10/2017 12:56

Harlotsweb you can't just duck out and dive back in withthis woe it just doesn't work like that. You should have ordered your meal with no mash and extra green veg. Why you went on to order a pudding and then eat fudge with coffee only you know. You need to have the mindset that avoiding bad carbs and sugar is a GOOD THING, stop thinking that this woe is about deprivation because it isn't, it's about eating a healthy diet full of tasty food.
There is no other "diet" that makes going out easier and if there really isn't anything on the menu ask for a salad or an omelette.

If you are going to go off piste do it for a special occasion like a wedding, birthday or Christmas Day, I did it in September for a wedding and I don't regret a crumb of what I ate.

You certainly were a carby twat - possibly twat of the week but it's only Tuesday.

Back to it Harlot no more falling off the wagon, next time you're tempted post on here before you eat it.

C4rollinandventing · 17/10/2017 13:00

Rshard thanks for the offer, I might take you up on it.

Made a big plate of konjac noodles, egg, spinach, broccoli and soy sauce. Couldn't eat it all! That's almost literally NEVER HAPPENED, i usually eat and eat until the plate is clean. I felt full and I wanted to stop. Having said that I am now eating a couple of spoons of full fat greek total yogurt. Have drunk almost 1.5l today already.

If I lose more weight this week this diet will literally be a life changer. Have found myself thinking that perhaps I really am in this for the long haul. I'm not drinking this month which helps.

blackteaplease · 17/10/2017 13:28

Hello everyone, glad to see some good losses this week.
I have lost the bloat round my face and tummy already which feels great.

I have a question about planned for cheating. My son is 2 on Monday and I want to enjoy a slice of cake with the family to celebrate. If I eat very LCHF for the rest of the day will I be ok? None of my kids will understand why I'm not having any.
Today's food
Yogurt and 2x coffee for breakfast
Lunch emmental slices, salami slices gherkin and cucumber.
Will need a snack before taking dc to after school club-probably bovril and celery to get some veg in
Meatballs in the slow cooker served with courgetti.

HolgerDanske · 17/10/2017 13:33

blacktea no, unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Especially not with wheatbased things that are high in sugar such as cake.

I think I would serve some whipped double cream and berries with it, with dark chocolate grated over (just a little bit) and have a small serving of that instead. Just take a tiny piece of cake, literally a sliver, but leave it on your plate. If your children ask, just say that you have decided not to have any as eating too much sweet stuff makes you unwell, or something like that.

blackteaplease · 17/10/2017 13:56

I thought that might be the case. Sad I will have a think as I really don't like cream. I can eat it in savoury food and tolerate a dribble in my coffee but that's about it.

The cake thing is emotional. In my head mums make birthday cake, like my mum did for me . God I'm actually crying now

HolgerDanske · 17/10/2017 14:00

Then have a little. Smile

But make that piece the only thing you have.

Eat it slowly, really enjoy it and have a lovely time.

Then get right back on the wagon. And expect to see a tiny stall. Maybe a day or two before you feel completely with it again.

If it matters to you and you are making a careful, considered decision, then that's okay.

ASDismynormality · 17/10/2017 14:01

black. You can still make the cake, maybe just tell the kids you have a tummy ache if they question why you aren't eating it.

blackteaplease · 17/10/2017 14:05

Thanks for the support. I feel really daft now and it's not actually about the cake. Although obviously I'd prefer to eat it.

I'm sure I can come up with an alternative.
