I want a gigantor cauliflower. I was right diddled by sainsburys this week when they sent me piddly little bonsai cauli.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 29/09/2017 06:22

Grah I love trail mix, mmmmmmm.

Down another lb this morning, woot woot. Must have been all the walking, hahahaha. However, got some more walking to do to today, to toddler class (which we usually walk to, it's just less than 2 miles) and to meet DM and her friend at the garden centre (another 2 miles) then back to the garage to collect the car (about 6 miles, unless I can get a lift from DM!) all in the heavy rain that's forecast today. Hurrah (sarcastic.)

Food plan:
L - eggs & chorizo
D - basa fillets, sprouts, broccoli & cauliflower

Llareggub · 29/09/2017 06:59

I can't keep up with this thread!

I had spinach, broccoli and goulash last night and added double cream and mashed the broccoli. It was lovely.

I have noticed after a month of this woe that my skin has improved. I have always had dry skin and excema and it is clearing up. The little spots i have always had on my upper arms have gone. My nails are less brittle. Overall I have lost 12 pounds although annoyingly the scales at the gym are different to my home scales so I suspect it is slightly more than 12 pounds. I am also less tired and sleeping better.

Gammeldragz · 29/09/2017 07:40

Llare that's great progress and good yo hear you're feeling better for it.

I'm down another pound today, so feeling much more hopeful. Even if I bounce back up again tomorrow, I'll have seen a new low!

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 08:06

The last cauliflower I had delivered was no bigger than a fist - they are the food that Imaupeise most size wise with my online delivery!

Well I was right about the whoosh! I have now lost 7 stone 2 lbs which is 100 lbs. Also hit the 14 stones, feeling pretty please with my self this morning!

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 08:07

Imaupeise Hmm was supposed to be surprise.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 29/09/2017 08:35

ASD that's absolutely amazing!!!!

ilovecherries · 29/09/2017 08:38

ASD, congratulations! That's a huge milestone. Ragz, you and me too, hopefully. After a bit of a blah September, despite doing SSS, the scales have suddenly started to move again. My poor belly skin is driving me insane with itch though (as well as the appearance of stretch marks).

ilovecherries · 29/09/2017 08:39

Laredo, glad it's working for you - the non weight loss benefits have been the biggest surprise to me.

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 08:44

Thanks both!

Lovely to hear the scales are moving for everyone else too.

ilove. My arms and belly were super itchy yesterday - maybe it's a whoosh sign?

ilovecherries · 29/09/2017 08:55

I hope so, ASD!

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 29/09/2017 09:03

I slept really well last night and when I was woken at 6:00am for my first medication of the day I felt loads better than yesterday, switched the ventilator off and two minutes later my sats were 68% so on goes the oxygen and any hope that I am getting better.

The rather large new patient who arrived last night is quite demanding and can't/won't help himself to do anything, even adjusting the back of the bed has to be done for him. It's very very sad and he has the haunted look of someone who is deeply unhappy.
Along with the supersize bed is a supersize chair into which he was transferred this morning, it has left C4 deeply traumatised. I have a lovely nurse looking after me and my neighbour today. She came to take my blood pressure and asked if I needed anything.
I whispered to her "please find a sheet to put over x's knees as I really can't sit here staring at his bollocks all day" I'm certain it's been many years since he's seen them himself but the image is now burnt into my retinas forever.

So I'm going to have to go and plug myself back into the ventilator.

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 09:12

C4. I feel really sorry for the man opposite and I really hope the staff aren't judging him.

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 29/09/2017 09:42

ASD the staff here are great, if anything they are disabling him by doing too much for him, raising and lowering the bed for him, buttering his toast, putting jam on it, allowing him to have five weetabix and six slices of toast. So far today he has got through three bottles of full sugar fizzy drinks.
Personally I think they should be helping him to make sensible choices and limiting his portions to more normal sizes and encourage him to do some stuff for himself.

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 29/09/2017 09:51

I think I've got a tummy bug. Feel very bilious and crampy. No D or V. Yet. I feel like I want food. It might help the nausea. Hot buttered toast. I won't eat that, but what else do you recommend? I need something to settle my stomach.

BIWI · 29/09/2017 10:24

ASD that's brilliant news!

C4 sorry to hear you're suffering - get well soon.

I'm hating the fact that bookmarks aren't working for me - it's taking ages to find out where I am on threads

GailLondon · 29/09/2017 10:57

Morning everyone!

ASD wow 100lbs! thats amazing!
YoLo hmmm im trying to think of stomach calming things that aren't carby, toast would be my go-to food of the past.
Maybe some plain yoghurt or chew on a slice of raw ginger?

Weigh-in this morning and i'm down to 11st7, so that's 7lbs off in 3 weeks! Very happy with that.

Went to book club last night and one lady who I hadnt seen for a while was there looking great....She said she had been diagnosed with t2 diabetes last summer and it had kicked her into action. She followed Michael Mosely's blood sugar diet for 8 weeks, then moved onto LCHF for the next few months. And she has already lost 5 stone and completely reversed her diabetes!
So glad that more people are waking up to this lifestyle

Gammeldragz · 29/09/2017 11:00

ASD wow! Well done. How long have you been doing this WOE?

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 13:50

yolo. Hope the nausea passes soon.

ragz. It's taken 9.5 months so far but it's definitely slowing down, just under 3 1/2 stones to go!

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 14:12

Actually it's been 8.5 months, not the greatest math skills!

littlebillie · 29/09/2017 14:13

C4 🙈

littlebillie · 29/09/2017 14:16

So today I'm the lightest I've been in nearly 2 decades Blush I'm an easy size 14 now and my bmi is 24.1 I'm thinking of another half stone but will I be too thin at that. I nearly laughed at that, but 14 on me looks like a 12 what BMI are you ladies going for?

ASDismynormality · 29/09/2017 14:24

littlebillie. 24.9 will be amazing for me but I've been obese for as long as I can remember.

ilovecherries · 29/09/2017 14:35

24.9 (11 stone 4) is my target. Will reassess when I get there. I'm fairly tall so that should be a 12 for me, I think.
