Hippa fascinated about the age, it was quite sad too.

littlebillie · 28/09/2017 17:21

Clear on those guidelines I've lost 4 litres of fat 🤢

GammeldagBooks · 28/09/2017 17:41

Barista: "how can you ask for cream with almond milk? You know cream is dairy?"
Me: "I'm not dairy intolerant it's just almond milk has fewer carbs than cow's milk"
Barista: HmmHmmConfused

This is my 5 attempt at posting as my Mumsnet app on my iPad keeps crashing. I'll try again and hope.
Big virtual hugs to C4 and MOIST and any other poorlies
I'm also someone who's veins go into hiding at the thought of blood being taken. I was a blood donor for a while but they hardly got any blood from me.

I'm wondering what people think about this comment I got from a friend? She said "you don't want t loose too much more weight, as at our age - older lady - we need to have a bit on us otherwise we look scrawny" I'm 5' 7" and currently 12 stone 2 and I'd like to be just under 11 stone. When I was in my teens and twenties my weight would have been about 9 and half stone but I can see that I was probably too thin but I'm not looking to get to that weight. I do worry about my bingo wing arms and other saggy bits but I think I'll look better and feel healthier at 10stone 12lb or thereabouts. What do you think?

ASDismynormality · 28/09/2017 18:05

NOMORE. Just ignore the comment and do what makes you feel good about yourself. Someone will always have an opinion on whether someone is too thin or too fat, you can't please everyone!

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 28/09/2017 18:20

@NOMOREoatcakesandcheese
I think what ever makes you feel the most comfortable, is the best.

Hovering around snuggly to cuddly and trying to avoid boney is my aim.
My wife says I'm skinny, doc says lose a few more lbs, the DEXA scan result was slightly over ideal BFP range. WotEver.

I'm looking for a few more inches to be moved around to different muscle groups, which means doing some form of exercise. If that results in being around 20lb lighter ok. Still be overweight with that amount of loss.
look in the mirror and take the advice about you from the person you see.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 28/09/2017 18:22

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag

way to go 4.5 miles, bet there was a slope or two that worked the biceps as well as the legs.

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 28/09/2017 18:28

look in the mirror and take the advice about you from the person you see. Grah

Hear hear. Very good advice.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 28/09/2017 18:37

Grah it was basically one massive hill for about 3 miles (Beaumont Leys Lane if you're reading Books!) Kind of glad of it now & pleased I don't have to run tonight, wasn't really feeling it.

StuntNun · 28/09/2017 19:10

NOMORE when I was losing weight I aimed for the weight I was when I got married at age 22 which was 60kg (I'm 5'6"). When I got to that weight at age 37 then I found I needed to lose another couple of kg to get to a similar body shape. I assume I had a lot more muscle in my early 20s than I do now. As Grah says, you reach the point where you need to "redistribute the inches" by building muscle rather than only going for weight loss.

MOIST · 28/09/2017 19:13

Oh sweet lord look at this.

Keeping on keeping on until the new bootcamp
MOIST · 28/09/2017 19:14

840g of carbs!

Argh!!!!

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 28/09/2017 19:44

Worth every carb though I would imagine?!

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 28/09/2017 19:45

Although Cadbury chocolate has gone shit now. Tastes really chemically and rank. I prefer Galaxy now.

MOIST · 28/09/2017 19:53

Present from a satisfied customer. Along with a lovely card and photo. Beautiful.

But it's a very huge bar of chocolate. It is shouting to get out of the carb cupboard. Argh!

Oh C4. Must be so frightening. Sending you restful happy vibes ~~~}

ilovecherries · 28/09/2017 20:05

I managed to put on 5 stone without any stretch marks. I've lost three and today I went to the loo to discover 4 big ones - maybe 4-5 inches long - have appeared since I got dressed.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 28/09/2017 20:32

Unmumsnetty hugs C4

Gammeldragz · 28/09/2017 20:48

no more a little extra fat is protective as we age, specifically in women. However I would interpret that as being at the higher side of normal BMI, not being overweight.
hippa I hope so! Have been to the loo at lot today (for both!) So hoping to be lighter tomorrow.

Currently sat in waiting room of emergency dentist (40mins from home) with eldest DS (11) as he broke a tooth today at lunch! Didn't get to enjoy my dinner as I was on hold to said dentist from 6pm to 6.35pm, apparently the lines open at 6:30 but website said 6pm! So eating while on hold!

Breakfast - bacon. Halloumi. Salad.
Lunch - 2 mini cheddar portions
Dinner - quarter pounder between two halloumi burgers. Salad, caeser dressing, parmesan.

High cheese day! 123g fat.

Gammeldragz · 28/09/2017 20:48

Didn't realise that hadn't posted earlier. Am back home and DS is in bed, minus a tooth!

Gammeldragz · 28/09/2017 20:51

c4 eek! Please be fixed soon xx
moist gift wrap it now. You can give it away later. But the act of wrapping it up may cement is as being out of bounds? Not worth eating, it tastes crap!

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 28/09/2017 22:12

c4 i knew you'd find a clever way to be drunk without the carbs of alcohol. Well done you! Not that I'd recommend it, mind. Wink

Are you managing to stave off the boredom in HDU? When you are not unconscious of course. Grin

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 28/09/2017 23:04

Deceased patient has been replaced by a new one in a bariatric bed, it's making me feel as if I'm in Alice in wonderland.

Food today

B nothing
L chicken, green beans and cauliflower both boiled for three days and served tepid
D salad capachinno

Moanranger · 28/09/2017 23:08

Starsky The gigantor cauliflower comes from a local establishment called "The Trading Post" which is a home-grown version of Lidl/Aldi though very quirky. It has a great selection of locally grown veg (on south coast with vast greenhouse/market gardening industry) .
I ended up with two large casserole dishes of cauliflower-cheese, which has/will serve for two dinners & a couple of lunches. Grand!
