Ohhh, ilovecherries. Ohhhhh.

littlebillie · 24/09/2017 20:57

Gammeldag C4great old English Danish word have you stopped saying TAC yet?

BIWI · 24/09/2017 21:03

@Shiraznowplease and what on earth would be the point of doing that?!

You'll undo all the work you've done so far, and when you've done it, even if you enjoy it at the time, all that will happen is that you will a) feel guilty and b) the scales will take their revenge

GammeldagBooks · 24/09/2017 21:16

Nice NSV today, colleague said I was looking "skinny" which made me laugh because I have about 5 stone to go before I remotely hit skinny! She clarified that she could see that the woe is working. Which I needed to hear because I am struggling still. Planning to return to strict BC tomorrow. I realized that pre holiday I was writing down meals, tips, thoughts etc in my bullet journal but haven't done that since my holiday. So will get back on that!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 24/09/2017 21:18

Hi everyone,

Well, today hasn't been as good a start it could have been, since I had potato pancakes with my fry up, then went to friend's for a cuppa only for it to morphed into a (very small) glass of wine, plus a chocolate chip cookie their 3 year old had made and put into my hands. How could I resist? But since I'll feel crap tomorrow from the sugar I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

I did bike it, but the outward journey was a real struggle. The one good thing about having the sugar was it made the homeward run seem much easier.

So, DP and friend are coming home tomorrow. 7, possibly. So any time between then and half ten, I reckon. Changed my mind about the pizzas, as if they were back early they'd be peeved I was eating something different, as they'd see their getting food as saving me cooking full stop. I decided to, instead, take the opportunity to throw ragu into the slow-cooker overnight, (DP isn't keen on red meat so I tend to only make it able guests). It can then be reheated at any time, in the microwave if they're back late. As far as I'm concerned it's a win all round (except for DP!)!

I've also asked DP to pick me up once he's dropped Cheeky Friend off as his place is right near my office. Will take some ragu with me to heat there. I'm waiting to the reply telling me CF is eating with us. I'll have fun with that, don't worry. I'm thinking of interpreting the request as CF offering to cook for us all, since he's been promising to cook for me for 18 months and I'm still waiting. Have cooked for him, again, in the meantime (NY). DP also thought I should invite him round for Xmas, seeing as DP was away and CF on his own.Since he's spent years trying to figure out how to get out of spending Xmas dinner with another friend of his (who would do all the cooking etc) when he's been on his own, I found it highly amusing that not only was I supposed to give up my space for this fried of his, I was also meant to cook for him as well (and clean the house beforehand, etc)! He did take my point.

So I'm going to have fun if DP reckons this friend is also coming. I actually hope this is what DP is going to come out with, as I'm looking forward to it!

MOIST · 24/09/2017 21:36

Ooooh. Goulash. I fancy that.

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 24/09/2017 21:45

Feel like I've entered another universe on this thread tonight!

Ilove are you an HR consultant?

Is anyone else worried they won't be able to keep up with the new bc thread convos? I struggle now to remember everyone's stories. Memory like a sieve, me. Shall we have a side chatty thread for us May bootcampers? As in we started in May (or joined after that) and not that we are fans of the current PM (though some may be!) We can be part of both threads.

GammeldagBooks · 24/09/2017 22:24

I did it - reminders and plans for week ahead plotted in my bullet journal. Writing it down and adding pretty colour has calmed me down actually. Eggs ahoy!

Keeping on keeping on until the new bootcamp
starsky22 · 24/09/2017 22:37

Well done books I think writing things down like that and planning will definitely help.

I struggle to keep up with one thread, not sure I'd keep up with two, but understand wanting to keep the chat with this group going, it has been so supportive, there is no way I'd have stuck to this woe for this long without everyone's help and support.

Today:
B fasting
L cocktail sausages (at a kids party) & 2 chicken thighs (picked up after kids party as starving)
S 2 squares of 85% dark choc (my first since starting bc 13 weeks ago, was sooo good!)
D chilli with green & yellow peppers, avocado, Sour cream & cheese, did have kidney beans, but didn't eat too many

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 24/09/2017 23:04

Love it oldbooks!!! I adore lists. They keep me on track and stop me forgetting things. Focus, woman!! Fab.

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 24/09/2017 23:35

Books love your journal page, it's awesome and you've inspired me to start a LCHF journal of my own. I'm a stationery addict so I'm certain I have a nice book somewhere to use as a journal. I will be starting a Lola journal tomorrow as well.

I'm happy to have a separate Gammeldag World chat thread for the members of The bootcamp of Namaste Bitches.

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 24/09/2017 23:57

And THAT will have to be the title C4 !!!!

Oooohh tomorrow is #LolaDay !

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 25/09/2017 06:38

Gammeldag World, haha. Reminds me of the computer game Odd World, with Abe, remember?

Happy Lola day!

littlebillie · 25/09/2017 06:50

Is anyone's hair thinner with this WOE

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 25/09/2017 07:21

C4 will not be collecting Lola, will not be around when DD meets Alfie, won't be having any Alfie cuddles herself because she has woken up unable to breathe adequately off the ventilator. She has a rattle and wheeze in her lungs and is on her way to hospital.

High dependency are clearing a bed for me as they are full, my name is permanently on the board as an expected patient.

Welcome to the world of respiratory failure #iwishmydiaphragmwasn'tparalysed

I may have to take some hospital food for the team "gulp" goodbye Gammeldagets goodbye wise ones, goodbye bitches.

GammeldagBooks · 25/09/2017 07:27

Flowers C4, that's crap

starsky22 · 25/09/2017 07:31

Morning bootcampers! I've lost 2lbs this week! That's 25lbs since I started BC, which I'm obviously very pleased with, but this week I'm feeling fat. Confused Fed up with my wobbly belly and feel like it will never be flat (or flatter, flat is probably impossible)

CiderwithBuda · 25/09/2017 07:32

That is indeed crap C4. Hope it gets sorted quickly. Flowers

Littlebillie - I think it can be quite common. And I know Ilovecherries was concerned above it hers. Might have been on the previous thread.

starsky22 · 25/09/2017 07:34

Oh no C4 I was just going to post to say good luck with collecting Lola, that's really crap! Flowers

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 25/09/2017 07:39

@Shiraznowplease hoping you didnt eat the nutella. May the force to #BelieveInYouself be with you.
C4 GET WELL SOON.

FinallyHere · 25/09/2017 07:55

C4 sending very best wishes for a speedy recovery xx

I'm a bit Shock at the whole concept of HDU keeping a bed with your name on it ready just in case ... I expect they jazz it up with pink glitter so everyone knows it's yours

ASDismynormality · 25/09/2017 07:56

Arrgggghhhh - broken my weightloss trend! I know there has been some carb creep - starting bootcamp proper from today!

Keeping on keeping on until the new bootcamp
MOIST · 25/09/2017 07:56

That's shite C4.

ilovecherries · 25/09/2017 08:11

littlebillie, I've lost a worrying amount of hair. Long discussion and pictures on it in previous thread I was so distraught about it. Now I'm trying to ignore it. I had loads of blood tests done, all normal, and stuntnun believed that in that case it was most likely down to weight loss that had triggered it, rather than this woe.

ilovecherries · 25/09/2017 08:25

YoLo, sort of the other side of the HR coin - organisational development and learning.
