@JustContemplating - no need to count carbs on Bootcamp! Just follow the rules and make sure you keep the veg/salad you're using to around 3-4g carbs per 100g max, as much as possible

@hippadoppaloppagorillapig no separate thread. That would make it more formal and it would get like Bootcamp, which I really don't want to do.

And we all have different 'rules' anyway!

BIWI · 01/09/2017 13:45

@Grimbles How about a kick up the arse and a pep talk? Grin

Look - you've lost 5lbs in less than two weeks. In anyone's book that's good! Your strictness has paid off. And there are still 3 days to go before you finish the two weeks, so you could lose even more.

I'm a bit puzzled though why you think you can't eat yoghurt?

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 01/09/2017 13:48

Hi again I seem to have got over my stall as I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 7lb since I started on 8th Aug. I was 12 12lb and now I'm 12st 5lb 🤙🤙

My SSS aims are:
Bed in BC rules so they become a WOE. Apparently it takes 30 days to change habits. I've been on BC since 8/8/17 and I've spent a long time putting it on so I want to get it right
Sort out a hybrid of bc hard and lite rules that suit me
Experiment with hunger - gaps between meals and how long I can go and how much to eat and missing meals with the aim of building up to some Intermittent fasting
Next week I'm on holiday - were self catering so it won't be too hard to keep to the rules with the odd red wine. Come mid September work will start on our extension and provably last for about 10 -12 weeks - not looking forward to it but it will worth it to get it done. So that is why I want to work on integrating the BC rules into my lifestyle so I can (hopefully) do them as a WOE automatically.

Hi to all the Newbies - I'm fairly new myself too - my advice is keep reading the info in the tabs that is at the top of the previous bc thread

BIWI · 01/09/2017 13:56

Glad to hear it @NOMOREoatcakesandcheese!

But I need to point out that you haven't been in a stall. You're only in a stall if your weight hasn't changed for several weeks. It's perfectly natural for weight loss to slow/speed up seemingly at random. It's not a linear process.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 01/09/2017 14:06

@BIWI 👍😀

Grimbles · 01/09/2017 14:28

BIWI. thanks for the boot up the jacket!

By 'cant eat yoghurt' I mean can't eat yoghurt' that I like! I can't bear Greek yoghurt so would rather go without instead of 'wasting' carbs on something I'm not keen on.

Although I am investigating the world of non-dairy 'yoghurt' and they are surprisingly good. Have just tried coconut milk based one with vanilla which was good, and 3g carbs per 100g

ASDismynormality · 01/09/2017 15:16

I have decided to aim for a NSV during SSS as I'm planning to go back to the gym and that tends to slow my loss down. I bought a skirt yesterday which I can do up but is very tight/too uncomfortable to wear. My aim is to fit in it comfortably by the end of the month.

BIWI · 01/09/2017 15:42

What is it about Greek yoghurt that you can't bear?

Megsmcgoo · 01/09/2017 15:43

Hi all, just wanted to pop on and say I'd love to join the SSS when back from Cornwall next week? I've been lurking for some time and impressed with the amazing results and really want to shift this last stone and a half

ragz134 · 01/09/2017 17:50

Grimbles I used to hate Greek yog, now I've been off sugar so long I can enjoy the taste but it's even better with double cream mixed in!

Food today
Breakfast - boiled eggs, butter and mayo
Lunch - 4 frankfurters
Dinner - chard, spinach, onion (little bit), chorizo, creme fraiche, mozzarella. Cooked in butter, obviously. Not eaten it yet so photo attached.

I hate the low fat Lidl Greek yoghurt - bought it by accident and even with copious amounts of cream was too tart and somehow thin. It got thrown out unfinished.

The full fat version is much nicer. I have it with a bit of cinnamon (a spice I love anyway but iirc, it can also aid weight loss). Others have had it with vanilla paste or vanilla essence and I believe there is chocolate essence available.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 01/09/2017 18:08

@starsky22 i think you might be right about losing tolerance. But it might be more of you've healed, and then redamage / inflame your intestine. Like rubbing the scabs of a bad hrase.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 01/09/2017 18:11

@ClearEyesFullHearts
Congratulations on getting to onederland
199.8 hope you get to stay for a long and comfortable stay as you venture deeper in Grin

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 01/09/2017 18:18

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/09/2017 19:38

Thanks, Grah. I actually got there on Tuesday but it's really, really nice to see it stick a few days later.

I weigh almost daily as I'm intrigued by the fluctuations and generally don't get demotivated by it.

For me, if I was at, say, 202 then saw 199 but on weigh in day was at 201, I wouldn't mind because I had seen the 199 on my scale.

To me that's hugely motivating. It means that I did weigh that, albeit briefly. It means my weight is going in the right direction. It means there is yet another light at the end of yet another tunnel.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/09/2017 19:41

Tonight's dinner will be another Jamie Oliver 5 Ingredients. Sirloin, Basil, cherry tomatoes, garlic, and aubergine. I nixed the other sirloin recipe because of the honey. 'Cause I'm all SSS don'tcha know. Wink

SummerSazz · 01/09/2017 20:09

moist stupid busy with work but just to say I've been camping the last 2 weekends and have had:

Hard boiled eggs, mayo
Cooked chicken with skin on
Cold chilli/curry
Yoghurt with raspberries
Salad
Cooked kebab skewers
Soft Cheese with celery
Other cheese Grin
Takeaway burger (dispose of bun)
Takeaway fish (dispose of most of batter)
Mackerel/cooked salmon
Smoked salmon in cream over salad
Mattesons sausage
Fizzy water with a squirt of lemon and lime juice

I'm sure there's more! Oh yes, G&T lol Wine

We have a cooker so can have tea - can you get a single burner cooker? Camping isn't possible without tea imho.

SummerSazz · 01/09/2017 20:11

Moist these are good

SummerSazz · 01/09/2017 20:17

Over the holidays I've done a family party, 2 weeks all inclusive, 2 camping weekends and a funeral and managed to STS.

Very chuffed with that Smile

wombattoo · 01/09/2017 20:20

MOIST Well done on getting the essay finished. That must be a relief.

Welcome new people Smile

Good luck everyone with SSS.

Veryflummoxed · 01/09/2017 21:08

Back to the tea gardens and genteelly sipping black tea while everyone else scoffed scones, jam and cream. Pat myself on the back and feel smug.

Breakfast, in a rush, two left over meatballs

Lunch, on the move, a hard boiled eggs

Dinner, finished the meatballs with loads of buttered veg and grated cheese.

Water. Black/ mint tea.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 01/09/2017 21:08

Over here we can ask to have the burger lettuce wrapped. Instead of having a bun 2 leaves wrap the burger to hold it together.
Only works if they have whole leaves is crap with shredded

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 01/09/2017 21:14

@NOMOREoatcakesandcheese
My daughter used 1 of these
cooktop in a hotel room for 5 weeks in the attic circle to cook soups etc. It is also used on the tasty demo website for cooking everything.

ragz134 · 01/09/2017 21:43

clear eyes I so the same for the same reason. Also if I'd gained on weigh day but had lower days beforehand it doesn't upset me. Plus, MFP makes me graphs of my daily weight which I like. Like this one (weight for 6 months). You can see the stall at the start, where I had actually been on this WOE for about 8 weeks already. There are a lot of gains on there, but it evens out and makes me feel less threatened by the scales!
