I've just had two days of SSA in preparation for SSS. Feeling pleased with myself as I turned my back on fish and chips and ice cream. Dinner today meatballs, buttered green veg, celeriac cheesey chips. Snack was a cup of warm almond milk with cream. Lots of water tea.

The dogs are all lovely. C4 do you have Lola home now or were you visiting? She is a beautiful colour.

ragz134 · 31/08/2017 21:08

C4 I'm not a dog person but that tiny furry thing is pure gorgeousness!

Food today (you'll see why I need the SSS rules!)
Snacks - Peanut butter. Cheese. Cream.
Dinner - Celeriac gratin, roast kale, chicken breast.
Pudding - the rest of the celeriac gratin.

I had such a lot of gratin I now have heartburn... Probably way too many carbs as I had so much (7g carbs per 100g isn't that good if you have large servings!) . Getting it out of the way before tomorrow (excuses...) It was bloody good though.

I have lost the weight I gained being a carby twat on holiday! Hoping I will make progress in SSS, I would love to hit/get under 170lbs. Currently just under 174, so it is do-able. Then I'd aim for maybe another 10lbs by New Year and leave the remaining half a stone (plus Xmas gain which I hope to avoid but...) for a new year push. It helps me to plan ahead and see where I could be if I really try!

BIWI · 31/08/2017 21:32

Lenl - are you Bootcamping? If you are, then you need to ditch the carrots and peas - they're way too carby!

MOIST · 31/08/2017 21:44

Kleptronic. Your sausage is a beaut! As is Buster. And baby Lola is sweeeeet!

MOIST · 31/08/2017 21:46

The Bastard Bloody Stupid Essay is done.

Needs a title but all I can think of is

'Who gives a flying fuck about your damn annoying whatsit and I don't care what service proposal needs doing'.

Which might not go down well.

MOIST · 31/08/2017 21:47

And I ate cake at my God-baby's first birthday party.

Stupid bloody day.

YoLoZammo · 31/08/2017 21:52

nomore gorgeous Buster at last!!!

cleareyes i agree. don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If he is cooking or anything else round the house embrace it while it lasts!!!

BIWI I'm just focussing on not going over a certain amount of carbs each day - aiming for 50g grams a day as per dietdoctor.com advice for when breastfeeding (my baby is only 10 weeks so I'm still feeding regularly). I actually added carrots and peas in order to add some carbs, otherwise probably would have done something like spinach and broccoli. I measured out so I didn't have too much. Total carbs yesterday was 29g - is this ok do you think?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/09/2017 01:16

YoLo, I know, I know, you're right, I know. (When Harry Met Sally)

Actually, when he's here he's amazingly stuck in with home tasks. Mostly the outdoor tasks. My surprise is at the rediscovery of his enjoyment of cooking.

Lenl you're doing fine. My guess is that BIWI forgot you were breastfeeding (she has a lot of us to advise!).

To the rest of you, tomorrow is the beginning of SSS. Namaste, Bitches. I can't wait!

YoLoZammo · 01/09/2017 01:23

c4 at least it was confirmation of the flight arrangements and not another setback. Talking of which I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling great. We are all rooting for you to get to this wedding not be back in hospital again. Stay strong! Let's hope it's just overdoing it with the DGC.

Yay SSS is here!!! Does that mean no 85% chocolate? Shock

OldBooks · 01/09/2017 05:23

OK I need to stop justifying my indulgence here on holiday and get back on it. I have gained 11lbs. Screw that. I have worked bloody hard to lose those pounds. They are going back off again asap. I will do BC light for rest of holiday.

No cake is worth it.

MOIST · 01/09/2017 06:17

Oh Lordy. I have just remembered I am spending the weekend in a tent.

No cooking. Not even a cup of tea Shock

What the bloody hell can I take to eat?

JustContemplating · 01/09/2017 06:42

What is SSS please? Also, SSA? Thank you. C4, I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 01/09/2017 06:47

MOIST I don't think you can go. No tea is against human rights!

Just - SSS stands for Super Strict September. There's no official bootcamp running, so a few of us are going to follow the strict bootcamp rules to keep us on the straight and narrow.

are we going to have a new thread for SSS, or just do it in here?

My food plan for today:
L - egg salad
D - leftover bolognese and courgetti

MOIST · 01/09/2017 06:57

No tea and takeaway carby shit. Not to mention the 4 cans of G&T I've just packed.

ilovecherries · 01/09/2017 07:44

After spending 7 hours in a car yesterday I've woken up hungry and dehydrated. So started SSS with a litre of water before I even got out of bed. If I'm still hungry when I get organised for the day, I'll have a mushroom omlette, although tbh I ate so little yesterday I'm probably not that short of 16 hours of fasting already, but ideally I would prefer to avoid having s super long eating window today.

ilovecherries · 01/09/2017 07:47

Oh, and I was exactly 189 yesterday morning, so if I can get to 181 (i.e., into the 12 stones) in SSS I would be very happy. I've slowed right down to a pound a week, and I'm generally good with that, but a wee whoosh over the next month would be lovely :)

Happy September to you all! Looking forward to being strict and shifting some lard. I ate everything which wasn't fastened down yesterday so am drawing a line and starting afresh.

30 days can make a real difference. It's my birthday mid month so might let up a little then but otherwise I'm on it like a car bonnet.

Right, we are going to the zoella shop this morning. I will come home lbs lighter in the wallet if nothing else Smile. My daughters are thrilled but my 8 year old son is not feeling it. Ah me.

Have a good day everyone.

SayrraT · 01/09/2017 08:18

Hello, I said I'd be back for SSS so here I am, not weighed yet but will soon. The only issue is my mum and I are going for afternoon tea Confused for her birthday (which was in June!). So I might actually be starting tomorrow!

SayrraT · 01/09/2017 08:27

Weighing in at 219 lbs to start SSS. Aiming to lose about 5 lbs.

Veryflummoxed · 01/09/2017 08:28

MoistStar(for the essay not the cake)

SSS super strict September is BIWI's idea for an extra Boot camp type month to keep us going till real bootcamp end Oct, starting today for all who wish to join in. (SSA super strict August which was just me starting SSS two days early. Sorry Justcontemplating didn't mean to confuse.)

Happy September everyone.

BIWI · 01/09/2017 08:31

@Lenl - I did forget you were breastfeeding, so apologies for that!

B - 3 egg omelette with tuna mayo and cheese
D - fish pie... salmon, smoked salmon, smoked haddock, cod, some spring onions, carrots and peas cooked in cream with a cauliflower and celeriac mash topping. And cheese on top. YUM.

... and whilst your day does sound very lovely - where is your lunch?!

If you'd had lunch, you could have had more veg/salad, so you wouldn't have had to resort to carbier veg.

prettybird · 01/09/2017 08:54

Oops - I'd forgotten we were now in September Shock

As I'm joining in the SSS I shouldn't have had the blueberries with my yoghurt this morning Blush

I am planning on doing a 24 hour fast from this evening: away with ds for a U18 rugby game tomorrow, so it makes it easier not to be tempted. although I do have to make his team the now expected chocolate chip cookies Must remember to take plenty of water with me.

AdalindSchade · 01/09/2017 08:59

Hi!
Day 4 and feeling loads better. Tummy is less bloated and less gassy. Weight has gone back down to the weight I was when I stopped bootcamp so feeling positive.
Onwards and downwards!
