Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

Ooh. I've just got home from a work get together at a Chinese All You Can Eat buffet restaurant. I did ever so well Smile! I had very small amounts of:

Fried king prawns
Chicken satay
Crispy chicken wings (drizzle with sauce. I picked out the ones that had very little on)

Thai green chicken curry
Vietnamese chilli chicken
Stir fried broccoli
Loads of delicious stir fried cabbage with garlic and ginger
A few king prawns in oyster sauce with very little sauce
Crispy shredded duck
Egg Foo Yung

NO NOODLES OR RICE AT ALL Shock. I drank lots of water. No fizzy soft drinks or wine. I had a lovely time and feel pleasantly full without feeling stuffed. Very pleased with myself Grin.

YoLoZammo · 01/08/2017 23:16

Time shame but understandable. Skye is faaaar from civilisation Wink.

Moist good luck tomorrow. Not sure if its your first visit or you are a seasoned clinicer. If the former, I've been there and it's scary as hell but the tests are quick and you don't wait long for results and the staff are always amazing on breast units. If the latter, then you will know this so here is a handhold anyway.

For the meetup i am thinking either a country pub somewhere rural outside the city so ClearEyes has no excuse or we could opt for a city centre pub or bar or restaurant. I will be looking at places with plenty of low carb food options.

cathyandclare · 01/08/2017 23:24

Cleareyes I did an egg fast on this thread
i found it ok, reading back I'm tempted to have another go!

SummerSazz · 02/08/2017 02:49

Just a quick post as Mexican wifi is a tad dodgy! Have managed to continue with low carb food - omelette for breaker, fish and salads for lunch (the rep told us today they are sterilised to within an inch of their lives - not sir how I feel about that lol!) and Brazilian steakhouse for dinner. Have had some cocktails but moderation being applied....
I can't do sept meet but have been to meet ups from my antenatal thread 9 years ago and have made some amazing friendships so those who are dithering I would say go for it!!

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 02/08/2017 05:17

SummerSazz sounds like your in a Grand Bahia resort.

Long time ago was there the buffets we great and had bacon/bacon and more bacon.

Even eating LCHF I would probably pack on a few pounds if I was there, but take care have fun and do a strict bc when you get back for a couple of weeks to sort yourself out.

Even in the old days there was a few weeks of food overloading before the fasting of winter.. :)

BIWI · 02/08/2017 07:08

I'd love to come, but that weekend I'm going to a birthday celebration for one of the friends I made from one of the very first Bootcamps.

Which is a shame, as I'd really like to put faces to names.

Count me in for Brum on 10th September. Make sure the venue is wheelchair accessible please.

ariana1 · 02/08/2017 07:30

Hi Everyone - well done to all of you and thanks for my third bootcamp.
I've lost 9.5 lbs this time - fairly steadily - taking me to 13.05 - I'm so close to 12 stones and I'm going to keep on going with bootcamp-lite. I was 15 st 9 lbs this time last year and just divorced - changing diet was easier once I was on my own but losing so much weight seemed impossible before I tried this WOE.

I feel much happier and have gone down from size 20 to size 16 (I'm 5' 7") for the first time in 18 years. I'm cycling to work and I'm feeling ready to don a swimsuit again.
So my next challenge is to up my activity and to carry on losing slowly - I've set 11 st 7 as my goal so by Christmas I should be there. I'm using a Withings watch and scales and find that constant attention helps me keep on track.
So thanks again to BIWI and helpers - your online support has made a really big difference, even when I'm just completing the spreadsheet and reading your comments.

MOIST · 02/08/2017 07:46

Finally remembered to weigh in. Total loss 7lbs. Not huge but the LCHF woe is s real eye opener. I'm not hungry. I'm eating nice food. I know if I drank less alcohol I'd have lost more. I really like it.
So I'm koko and going to hang around.

Cherrypi · 02/08/2017 08:02

At my lowest weight now. Hoping I can go lower. This will be new territory for me. I think a key thing for me is preparing a low carb meal before I have a chance to ponder. Greek yoghurt is the fastest breakfast I can do so having that everyday. Need a new automatic lunch as I was having meatballs everyday but I'm sick of them and they're probably a bit too processed really. Meeting up not my thing.

MOIST · 02/08/2017 08:06

Off to have my boob prodded now. Oh joy.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 02/08/2017 08:16

cathyandclare I see from that thread you were going to try the cinnamon pancake. Did you, and what did you think?

I left out the cinnamon and the pancakes themselves came out really well. I found the butter filling too rich though - she recommends a tablespoon per pancake, I used less than that and found it too much.

Day 3 for me today, off to weigh in shortly...

RaininSummer · 02/08/2017 08:30

Hi all. I have changed name. I have been here all along as something like Maid in Plymouth. Will be hunting out interim thread and koko. Feel fat this week annoyingly but have lost over half a stone. Thrilled. Thanks to all for the support. Would love to have made a meet but too fat I am afraid. Used to do that on another forum I was on and you can make real friends but as BIWI says just putting faces to names is nice. Really surprising sometimes too but perhaps less so here as we have all been talking about our clothes, boobs and bums (sorry Grah ha ha).

RaininSummer · 02/08/2017 08:31

Great typo above... too fat to meet should read too far!

ilovecherries · 02/08/2017 08:42

Moist, hope today goes ok for you.

BIWI · 02/08/2017 08:45

Too fat to meet Grin

ilovecherries · 02/08/2017 08:49

I have a question - does keto breath last forever? I assumed it would go away once I was settled on this woe, but it's still there. Even I amn't relishing having my nose near my mouth, to be honest! It's not my imagination, husband confirms. In fact the entire bedroom smelled of my breath this morning, I really noticed it when I came back into the room at 4am having been to the loo. It's not my teeth, they are all fine, and I go to the hygienist every 3 months. I haven't eaten anything off plan for the duration, so it's not that I'm doing anything with my diet to keep triggering it. Im using bottles of mouthwash!

HemanOrSheRa · 02/08/2017 08:51

Morning.

MOIST I hope it goes OK for you Flowers.

Mexico Summer. Very nice! I am planning on eating the same type of things as you when we are away. Plus, hopefully, lots of cold cuts, cheeses and olives. Maybe some fresh fruit. I miss fruit.

JiminnyCricket · 02/08/2017 08:55

Morning all Grin

I'm FINALLY hungry! Huzzah!

B: Total yoghurt with flaxseed
L: smoked salmon gravadlax and salad
D: Steak and celeriac chips Grin

I've found a coat i LOVE in tesco but they only had size 20 and 22... my first thought was "awesome, my size!" then i remembered im now a 16 and when i tried it on it looked like a circus tent... Hmm... damn you LCHF! Grin

BIWI · 02/08/2017 08:58

@ilovecherries it shouldn't really last that long, but it could mean that you need to up your carbs a little bit.

Great news @JiminnyCricket!

Hope all goes as well as it can for you today, @MOIST

cleareyes. I didn't have any issues when doing the egg fast, thought I would be windy but wasn't. I did it pretty simply - eggs cooked in olive oil or egg mayo, I quite enjoyed not really having to think about how to prepare my food for a couple of days.

I went to my diabetes class yesterday and again found it really frustrating! The woman running course does seem to have done some research which is positive but she's still peddling misinformation. She told us which breads are lowests carb per slice - kingsmill crustless, danish sliced and weight watchers- they are lower carb not due to ingredients but because they are small! Apparently bread crust contains more carbs than the middle of bread hence the crustless bread being lower carb Hmm. She also recommended either Weight watcher yoghurts or total 0%. She did however say she has started LC and felt rough at the beginning (when I mentioned in the first class this would happen she said it was nonsense) and said berries are the best fruit (when she was advising apples and pears in a previous lesson and I said berries were better she disagreed). The thing is everyone has done really well and I am going to take some of the credit Blush along with a couple of other members who question all the nonsense she tells us! Also the woman has had a promotion Shock
Sorry for the moaning, needed to get it off my chest!

OldBooks · 02/08/2017 09:15

Good luck today Moist

Good to hear your appetite is coming back Jim. Hurrah for circus tent clothes, that must have felt good! Grin

Ariana well done that's inspiring progress!

Yesterday I ached all over, had a headache and just wanted to EAT! Ended up melting a teaspoon of peanut butter and normal butter then stirring in a bit of cocoa powder. Was tasty and hit the cravings spot. This morning, why hello, it's my old friend AF. It has been a week and a half since the last AF stopped after all Hmm

The only downside to this WOE is how much it has messed up AF. Another reason to KOKO as apparently eventually I should come out of the other side and AF will get easier...

cathyandclare · 02/08/2017 09:24

Theway I'm not going to lie the cinnamon pancakes and the cinnamon eggy muffins were DISGUSTING! In fact, that's probably why I lost weight, they put me off eating Grin The idea of sweet eggs just doesn't do it for me (well except for meringue)

I mostly ate cloud bread, crustless quiche, omelettes and egg mayo tbh

Sadly I will be in India on my jollies on the day of the meet up, trying to balance LCHF with the risks of Delhi belly.

MOIST · 02/08/2017 10:13

As expected I need a little op. It'll be fiiiiiiiiine

Going to make fathead pizza to calm myself.

OldBooks · 02/08/2017 10:17

Flowers Moist. Sending all good wishes your way.

YoLo shall we look at a date later in September? Seems most people can't make the 10th.
