Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

Birmingham isn't easy for me to get there and back from in a day, YoLo, but will continue to be here (a lot!).

I know on S&B there is constant talk about vanity sizing, but I haven't found M&S sizing generous for years (The Pink Dress of Doom excepted.) Their sizing is also erratic. I have three pairs of linen trousers from them, size 16,18,20 and they ALL fit.

Mind you, I am always surprised at the sizes people are wearing. At 15.7 I was a solid 22, whereas many people seem to be able to wear much smaller. Even now at (have I mentioned this ;)) 13.12 I'm mainly an 18, and even that requires a bit of stretch. I did buy a jacket from Sainsbury's recently in a 14, but that was very unusual, and it's edge to edge so doesn't fasten. I also have a couple of smaller Boden summer dresses, but they have a lot of looseness built in to the style. And I'm 5.7, so not dainty by any means.

Basically, cut the labels out of everything! At the moment though, I'm having a mini meltdown because nothing I try seems to sit properly. I think I need to change my style as well as my size. I actually got all upset last night in Sainsbury's changing room because I felt I'd lost 2 stone and looked worse in clothes.

Mimosa1 · 01/08/2017 15:27

yolo I'm not going to be able to make the meet up as have a v young baby and don't live near B'Ham (realise I'm a relative newbie although feel like ive got to know many of you over the last 10 days or so) but think it's a great idea you're organising one though!

To any of the scientific bods on the thread, do you know if/why a low carb kerogenic diet causes a build up of uric acid? I've had a blood test reveal higher levels and they want to retest in a few weeks but I'm reluctant to give up this WOE. I haven't been able to discuss the results with the doctor directly yet.

Thanks!

YoLo I could do Brum in September Smile

Clothes are annoying. I have size 18 trousers and jeans that are now loose, and others that I still can't do up. Shirt dresses that are really baggy on the back and hips yet the front buttons still keep undoing and exposing my bra. This is a difficult stage - we are losing weight all the time, sometimes unevenly. I expect none of us are well-off enough to buy a whole new wardrobe in each size. Therefore there is bound to be a phase of wearing ill-fitting stuff. We'll all get there once we are at our target weights!

Anyway have just bought some size 16 jeans in the Simply Be sale and some 14 tops! If you had told me in April I would be buying size 14 anything I would have laughed in your face. If they don't fit then they will be my NSV target.

prettybird · 01/08/2017 15:45

Don't know the answer to that - but are you sure you've been having enough water?

littlebillie · 01/08/2017 15:53

Thank you all for your support, I have three boozy bbq, wine/gin weekends and I have lost a STONE! I have dropped a dress size and now feel that is really me. I am nearly BMI 25 and I do think I will be back to get the next 10lbs off at the next boot campl

Thank you ladies you were all wonderful!

YoLoZammo · 01/08/2017 16:21

That's great Oldbooks. I am London based but Brum is doable and I recall that C4 could only do Brum and it wouldn't be the same without her. I may have to bring DC but hoping to avoid that. Could do with a day off on my own!

Oh and about busting out of busts... I just sew up the front seam of the busts of shirts. I always have some fabric strain there due to mahoosive bazoomas. And I got fed up of exposing my bra to the world when the buttons kept popping open. Happened one to many times on the train to work Blush.

YoLoZammo · 01/08/2017 16:23

C4 are you still up for it, and if so can you recommend any particular venue in Birmingham?

Looks like it will be September. and just me and Oldbooks if nobody else replies Grin

TheWayOfTheWorld · 01/08/2017 16:56

ASD, prettybird did you follow any sort of programme for the egg fast? I'm following the menu suggestions on the I Breathe, I'm Hungry website - it's cinnamon snickerdoodles for dinner tonight Confused. Basically cream cheese pancakes - I hate cinnamon though so will substitute with chocolate or lemon stevia drops.

prettybird · 01/08/2017 17:34

I just vaguely remembered the instructions - the key bit of which was plenty of butter/fat with the eggs, so I had scrambled eggs (started off with lots of butter and finished with cream), omelette, again cooked in plenty of butter, and boiled eggs (with, you've guessed it, butter Wink) Plus plenty of salt and pepper.

Next time I'll also have boiled eggs mashed with Lidl mayonnaise.

Also had coffee with cream.

ilovecherries · 01/08/2017 17:39

mimosa, don't know if this is helpful? www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/side-effects/gout

FinallyHere · 01/08/2017 17:46

I'm up for a meet in Brum, Yolo, Oldbooks and C4 , I have a couple of things already booked in September, hope we can find a date that works for all of us. And a venue that withstand us.

Mimosa1 · 01/08/2017 18:22

Thanks prettybird I'm definitely not drinking enough - I'm sat here guzzling a bottle of water as you e reminded me.

ilove - thanks for the link - really helpful.

So annoying that the insurance medical was at the same time I'd just started ketosis (first week of BC). Still, a few days out and I'd have been heavier aaargh aaargh aaargh

YoLoZammo · 01/08/2017 19:33

That's great Finally.

How does Sunday 10th September suit everyone?

secretsignal · 01/08/2017 19:57

I'm likely to end up in Pizza Express tomorrow, the Niçoise salad doesn't look too bad, has anyone been recently? Does the salad come with the dressing on it or in a pot?

secretsignal · 01/08/2017 19:58

Would be terrified of a meet up. Have a lovely time Smile.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/08/2017 20:01

To those who have done the egg fast--to put it bluntly, how was the farting, pooing, and general...aroma situation? Hmm

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/08/2017 20:03

secretsignal doesn't matter how the dressing comes, just ask for it on the side. Salad nicoise is always a good low carb choice (unless they insist on adding potatoes, which are easy enough to pass on to your dinner companion).

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 01/08/2017 20:03

Yolo et al - I can do Birmingham but not Sundays I'm afraid, as I work Sunday evenings. Don't arrange it round me though if everyone else can do it. I'll catch you all again another time.

prettybird · 01/08/2017 20:12

Cleareyes - I didn't have a problem but there again, I only did it for 48 hours Grin

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/08/2017 20:17

Count me out of the 10 Sept meeting, sorry to not actually reply the first time.

Not only is that a mad time of year for me, I loathe Birmingham for deeply emotional reasons. (I need to grow up as I have nothing against the city itself! Blush)

If anyone fancied a London meet-up...?

Bibs2014 · 01/08/2017 20:27

I'm 10 7. How much do you think I could weigh by next Friday and then the following Saturday if I'm strict? Have 2 big events would love to be slim for. I low carb and calorie count (I need to as I'm close to goal).

MOIST · 01/08/2017 20:29

I'm away that week in September but I might be brace enough for a Namaste Bitch meet up st some point.

I forgot to weigh again this morning. Will try to remember tomorrow.

Also tomorrow I have a boob clinic appointment I am not looking forward to. I think the dr will want to whip out my ducts and that freaks me out a bit.

prettybird · 01/08/2017 20:36

Birmingham is a bit too far for me from Glasgow (although I have been to a meet-up in London Confused) - and 10th September is ds' 17th birthday Smile

secretsignal · 01/08/2017 20:42

Thanks ClearEyes I don't get out much Grin

TimeIhadaNameChange · 01/08/2017 20:53

As much as I'd love to come I can't justify the time or money travelling. Sorry guys! But if any of you ever adventure north and end up on Skye do let me know, would be great to meet you!
