Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

Finished my egg fast. I did three days straight by the rules (except day two when I didn't eat enough eggs because feeling unwell). Day four I had no breakfast, a three ounce omelette with three ounces of butter for lunch and for dinner I had a plain four egg omelette with sprouts and purple sprouting and celeriac mash, the butter was mainly in the veg. Yesterday I was not hungry all day. I had an early evening meal. Left over celeriac and cabbage mixed with two eggs and grated cheese and garlic pepper pan fried. Served with left over sprouts and purple sprouting and a little blue cheese sauce. Ate way to many veg but they were bloody lovely and the only thing I've craved for the last five days. Lost just over two pounds but actually feel like it's more. Apart from Day 2 I felt really well. I can recommend the cheese, egg, celeriac and cabbage "bubble and squeak"

TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/08/2017 09:29

Glad the pigtures were appreciated! The wee ones are still petrified, but they have been eating so they're ok.

RaininSummer - that is always a worry when you're looking after someone else's pets, especially when they're elderly. But if the worst does happen then at least they will know that they were in good hands.

secretsignal · 17/08/2017 09:31

I know I said I was going, but just back briefly to say, a couple of posters were embarrassed about posting personal details, please don't be! This is a huge emotional journey, and I get the feeling we're a genuine and supportive bunch, so post away! These things can be v hard to say IRL, but are important to recognise on our way to a healthier, slimmer future. I'm off to the land of the pasty now, wish me luck!

C4pinkwheels · 17/08/2017 09:37

Good morning bitches, can someone please tell my superbugs to piss off, I took my last antibiotic on Friday and yesterday afternoon developed a fever. I have a UTI again, I feel hot, shaky and so so tired, I could sleep all day. GP coming later, I'm sure that at some point soon it's going to be a week in HDU for IV antibiotics. I have a urology appointment on Monday so I'm hoping the GP will just restart oral antibiotics and defer the decision to the consultant.

Stunt the fasting is really interesting and makes absolute sense to me, I was doing low fat, low calorie prior to BC and did lose weight but very very slowly, about 1lb per month and on less than 700 calories per day. I felt utterly miserable, I was tired all the time and had no energy at all, life was just one long list of things I couldn't eat.
I very often do 16/8 accidentally because I'm lazy it takes me so long to get up showered, dressed and to do my physio every morning. My first food of the day is often around 11:00am and I often just wait until lunch time. I know that eating low carb means I don't get hungry and I could easily not eat for 24 hours. I'm definitely up for another thread.

Sayrra I've missed you, my daughter in NZ has just got another pony, I will post a photo later.

Love the guinea pigs, we used to have some. Smokey is bereft because Elsa the cat has moved out so we have decided he needs a companion and after the Danish wedding we are going to get a chihuahua puppy. DH thinks it will be just the encouragement I need to leave the house every day and when I'm not well our garden is big enough for it to run around. I feel excited and nervous in equal measure.

Food today:

B. Yogurt and blueberries
L. Salad with hb duck eggs
D. Salmon and prawns with stir fry veg.

Veryflummoxed · 17/08/2017 13:07

Looking forward to the chihuahua puppy pictures.

YoLoZammo · 17/08/2017 14:04

C4 so sorry tobhewr the infection has taken back hold. You must be truly fed up feeling ill and dealing with all that shit. Keep fighting. No bacteria is a match for your indomitable spirit. I hope you don't end up back in HDU because I know how you hate It, but maybe it could be the solution you need. The new little doggy sounds very exciting! Dogs are amazing therapy in themselves. Namaste Flowers

time love the pigtures. Cute cute Cute!

ilove fantastic and cathartic big sort out. Go you! Enjoy your pampering with DD. I'm a little envious. You so deserve It! Let's have some before and after pics. I love a makeover!!

wombattoo · 17/08/2017 16:26

C4 I hope all went well with the GP Thanks

Sayrra I missed your post yesterday. A September spreadsheet would be great if you get time. Thanks Thanks

Distractotron · 17/08/2017 20:11

C4 I'm looking forward to pupper pictures too. Am very dog-broody - the house doesn't feel right and I can't stop looking at dogs in the street!
I've been very lazy with cooking recently. Eating lots of salads. Feel like my appetite is decreasing, which can't be bad. I am on the gin tonight though Grin

FinallyHere · 17/08/2017 20:13

ilovecherries how did your HoC session go? Agog to know what season you are --

pastel blue autumn here--

ilovecherries · 17/08/2017 20:28

Finally, I was a summer, which was what CMB said about 20 years ago. However, CMB but me in gold and lemon whereas HoC gave me much nicer colours (and silver). Daughter was as I suspected, winter (lucky thing, that what I wanted!). It was fun, I enjoyed it. Much shorter session than I expected - advertised as 5 hours, but we were out within 3. I guess maybe as it was only the two of us, but I'd expected that she'd perhaps do more detail, or just take it slower, it felt quite hurried. All set now for a good cruise round the shops next week. I was tempted by the style day for me, at least, but someone said you had to get your kit off, and I'm so not ready for that! Plus I think I would like a slower pace. But I have a red lipstick now, something I was always convinced I was too old for :). Would def recommend it.

FinallyHere · 17/08/2017 20:35

So glad you enjoyed it, I am a bit of a colour analysis junkie, been loads of times for my self, as a ' model' for trainee analysts and to keep friends/family company. Am kept fully entertained, anywhere there are people, working out what everyone around me would be. Newscasters tend to be pretty much always in their best colours. It's more noticeable for the men (i think). Just slight differences in bright v soft white shirts and low / high contrast between colours of shirt and tie. Brilliant.

To be fair, colour was fun but i think style made more of a difference to what i wear. Sadly never got my kit off (sulks).

SummerSazz · 17/08/2017 20:42

Hello all - I'm a Sultry winter so can wear black 👍. DD's are Jewel Winter and burnished winter.

Off camping tomorrow in the rain so will do normal Friday weigh in before I go. I've cooked a big batch of chilli as I suspect the options will be fish & chips/pizza etc. dD2 has an ear infection and has been told she can't swim - campsite is by the beach and has a pool Sad

distractatron yay for appetite shift!

signal have a fab holiday

c4 hope you're ok Flowers

stunt I was doing 16:8 way back when before the holidays and will restart in September

veryflummoxed well done on the egg fast - I'm sure more than the 2 will come off over the next few days

ilovecherries · 17/08/2017 20:42

Getting your kit off sounded a bit suspect. I may ask her if that's true. I managed to get into a high waisted bikini on holiday this year, but bra and pants with 4 complete strangers in someone's conservatory feels an inhibition too far! But I feel I do need some style help just now.

SummerSazz · 17/08/2017 21:12

I think I'd like to be gamine or ingenue but very much know that would NOT be the result so I've not done it. Suspect I would end up as romantic - Marilyn Monroe curvy type

starsky22 · 17/08/2017 21:18

Glad you enjoyed getting your colours done ilove, I really enjoyed it too and hearing you talk about it makes me want to have the style day too!

I'm a sultry winter too summersazz half my wardrobe seems to be cobalt blue at the moment, looking forward to winter coming and more of our colours being in the shops!

C4 That sucks, so annoying as you were doing so well and seemed much more positive recently, hoping the infection effs off soon.

Had a thai takeaway today, thought I'd chosen a low carb option, duck with beansprouts and cashews, but the sauce was sooo sweet. Really annoyed as it's taken all week to get back into ketosis after some carbiness at the weekend kicked me out and am going to be really fed up if this messes it up again.

Yesterday:
B sausages
L pork with mashed celariac and runner beans
D pork chop with sprouting broccoli gratin

Today:
B sausages
L chicken with mashed celeriac & sprouting broccoli gratin
D thai duck with beansprouts & cashews & 1 chicken satay skewer

MOIST · 17/08/2017 21:49

C4. Hope the GP went well. I cant wait for puppy pics.

I crashed a bit at skating. Need to add damaged knees to my list of broken bits.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 18/08/2017 00:35

@C4pinkwheels that sucks, but would sooner rather than later be better to get the buggers flushed out. i.e. not stop you from going to Denmark.

A Chihuahua, don't you easily qualify for a mobility assistance dog?

Always thought of Chihuahua as yappy/snappy dogs with temperamental issues. They are Ok, if they love you and your family but they spook very easily around strangers. Which you seem to have a lot of visitors that qualify as strangers to a yappy/snappy. Give me a headache just thinking about that high pitch yap.

Can you tell I like the large breed laid back quiet dogs. Smile

Would it be fun to have A small helper friend?

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 18/08/2017 00:43

@MOIST hope you'd didn't ruin those new pants, you can grow new skin for free.

There appears to a strange language in use -what's a winter/summer? how do you become 1? does it change with the sun tanning levels? ConfusedConfused Reads like your all having fun and bonding so whatever it is, it seems to be good thing. Envy

BIWI · 18/08/2017 05:33

I had my colours done once, as part of an image so-called make-over. Bloody woman was insulting mainly exaggeration which didn't make me feel good at all. And as a result I have no memory as to what I am, what season, etc. So I'm happy to bond with you as an outsider, Grah Wink

Re SSS (Super Strict September) - a spreadsheet would be fab, Sayrra, but I was envisaging keeping this just a small affair rather than posting it more openly because, being purely selfish Blush this is for me. Very happy to have you lovely lot 'tag along' if you're keen, but it's not going to be a big, full-on Bootcamp!

Sorry to hear you're ill again, C4, and sympathies to you MOIST - but what did you do?!

I'm still illing here. Not sure if this cold is morphing into some kind of infection, but it's horrible. Today and yesterday woken up before 5 with unstoppable coughing (nothing on my chest yet, I don't think), and now my ears and throat hurt Sad. A bit worried about this, because we're heading Oop North tonight, to visit my brother/SIL, and to spend some time with my great nephew there - he's only 10 months old, so I don't want to pass anything on to him.

FinallyHere · 18/08/2017 06:54

Sorry to read you have a cold, BIWI, seems unfair to me. My very best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I have a shock remedy to recommend, which is pretty drastic: first thing in the morning, one raw clove of garlic (crushed between two spoons if you prefer, i just chew briefly) followed by a glass of water. You will feel the garlic 'burning' your sinuses as you swallow. Maybe a stalk of raw parsley afterwards to get rid of any oder.

Can be a good feeling, if you are 'bunged up', a bit like the glow that comes from finishing a shower with a good blast of cold water or swimming in very cold water, kill or cure. Or maybe, just maybe, you feel worse briefly and are glad when it over.....

OldBooks · 18/08/2017 07:48

Sorry to read about illness and injury, and have a fab time those on hols or having a treat! I have self-identified myself as a cool winter and love wearing strong jewel tones, but would love to do it properly and get styled too.

I am mardy this morning as I am +4lbs since the egg fast which feels like I have undone all that good work. Thing is I don't think I have been especially carby, indeed I was pleased as I have been bang on with water intake, haven't snacked at all this week and I have been having smaller portions. I have had some strawberries and some cream but I didn't think 4lbs worth. I feel mildly panicked as I was hoping to relax a little on holiday but if I gain 4lbs after a 'normal' week I dread to think, I will be right back where I started when we come back Sad

So I think I need to go back to mostly eggs and keeping carbs under 20g for the next few days and see if I can shift it. At this rate I feel like I will never see 14 stone something

MOIST · 18/08/2017 08:03

I'm off to The Lakes! Never been before as I'm a softy southerner. I have packed my raincoat and jumper (and crochet, slippers, colouring book and pot of double cream)

D2 (19, Asperger) is not in a good place at the mo so this will be 'interesting'. Hopefully it'll bounce her out of it and get her out and about a bit.

Is there carbs in Kendal mint cake?

ilovecherries · 18/08/2017 08:10

It's beautiful in the Lakes this morning, Moist. Which probably means it will be chucking it down by lunchtime.

prettybird · 18/08/2017 08:11

Isn't Kendal Mint Cake essentially pure sugar with a bit of mint essence? Shock

BIWI · 18/08/2017 08:27

Pretty much!
