Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

I have no intention of walking up any mountains so I won't be needing any.

ilove. If it all gets too much for me I'll escape and come and visit you.

Hi all I've been trying to keep up with the posts - sorry for all those of with aches and pains and ailments. BIWI that's sounds nasty. Phaps your weekend away will help. Loving the pics of pigs and awaiting the doggy pics - does anyone want to see my black lab? I've never had my colours done but being what is called "black Irish" on my mum's side - fair skinned with dark hair (now grey - or silver fox as I like to call it, I tend to suit blues greens and pinks
We've spent hours and hours over the past few days looking for a cottage to rent for a week in September- before work starts on our house extension!! it's been almost impossible to find a decent one near the sea takes one daft dog, near a few shops and a pub - even if I'm only drinking water - I like pubs. We're not too bothered about where either. We think we've found a few possibles at last, near cardigan in Wales

I'm coming to the end of my two weeks on boot camp and thinking about doing a hybrid of bc and bc lite so I can have the odd wine 🍷 and some chocolate 🍫 now and then
I won't tell you about my constipation this week suffice to say my bottom dropped out my world yesterday!!!! I'm feeling much better for it today.

ilovecherries · 18/08/2017 10:20

Ah yes, the first proper LCHF poo, Oatcakes. Some of us almost took pictures we were so proud of it!

I like dogs, really not a cat person at all. I like to be assured of total adoration by at least one sentitent being on a daily (hourly) basis. 'You are taking me for a walk? You are the best human ever!' 'You came back to me after putting the bin out! I thought I'd lost you, you are the best human ever' 'You fed me today! I love you totally' 'Flush the toilet again so I can watch it empty! Wow, you are so amazingly clever'. 'You can make the radiators hot! You are astounding' 'You let me get my entire hairy, smelly body draped across your lap. You have the best lap in the world'. Etc etc Grin

StuntNun · 18/08/2017 10:38

I'm attempting another 24-hour fast today. I went slightly off the rails on Wednesday after a very difficult day - not too bad but there were a few French fries and a G&T in the evening. I'm thinking about doing 16:8 one day then 24-hour fast the next day then three meals the next day. That would reduce my number of meals from 21 per week to 14-15 so the same number as intermittent fasting 16:8 most days. I've already experienced a big improvement in my insulin-sensitivity and in my senses of hunger and satiety.

prettybird · 18/08/2017 10:43

I'm planning on doing a 24 hour fast from tonight to tomorrow night. Lots of rugby stuff going on tomorrow, which should help distract me even if that does include making a massive batch of chocolate chip cookies Wink

C4pinkwheels · 18/08/2017 10:45

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, GP at a loss regarding antibiotics so waiting for the lab to report back and luckily I have the urologist on Monday. It just means a crappy weekend to get through, I spent last night shivering and shaking. The timing of this sucks as second DS, fiancé and 2 DGC are coming to stay next Wednesday for a holiday. I love my dc's so much, they choose to take their annual holiday visiting me rather than having a proper holiday makes me feel so loved. The 2 DGC's that have been living here for the last six months came home yesterday from visiting family in mums home country, I went to see them at their house Sad It was lovely to see them but horrible coming home to an empty house with just dss here as usual rooted in front of TV and barely speaking to me.
DH was out for dinner with work so I ended up skipping dinner and going to bed at 7:00pm so I might be accidentally doing a 24hr fast as I'm still not up and last ate at 12:30 yesterday.

Grah I really believe that you are either a big dog or a small dog person, I've always been a big dog kinda gal but there is no way I can make a commitment to exercise a big dog adequately. So it has to be a small dog, it can't be any kind of terrier as it will have an instinct to kill the bunnies.
My Chi is going to be a dog, it will get socialised from day one, won't be allowed on the furniture, will do,obedience classes and when it's a year old will begin therapy training. We are hoping that it will learn to recognise when I have an infection and when my SATs are low. I also want to use it for hospital visiting, I have a friend in the village who has a one year old chi that has just started training so we intend doing hospital visits together.
Apart from me the other big reason to get it is Smokey, he gets mega stressed when left alone either in the house or garden, it's proved impossible to bond him with another rabbit and the cat being here has shown us the potential for him to bond to another species. Chi's date back to Aztec times and were bred as companion dogs, they had high status and didn't need to hunt, they later were bred as a tasty snack (Smokey is also a meat breed).
I hate with a passion yappy, snappy dogs and handbag accessories so it absolutely won't become one of those. I want a proper dog, small in size and big in personality. I've done a lot of research and I've met many Chi's that behave like dogs and roll in fox poo, get muddy, have impeccable manners etc.
My dog will have an outdoor kennel and run of the garden with Smokey during the bulk of the day, it will sleep in a crate and eat with Smokey not the humans.
I still wish I could have an Irish Water Spaniel (dream dog) or a Doberman but there is no way I could deal with a six stone dog covered in mud, fox poo etc. A Chi can be everything I need in a small package.
The wait for a fully trained therapy dog is about five years so I think we are going the sensible route. Watch this spaceConfused

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 18/08/2017 11:03

oatcakes - of course we want to see your black lab! Love dogs, but can't have any, the cat would complain too much. If I did get one I'd want an ex-racer greyhound, but with the rabbits and guineas it wouldn't be fair on any of them.

Am also looking forward to pup pics, C4!

prettybird · 18/08/2017 11:21

Just to remind Caroline and Oatcakes and any other newbies that* the very lovely and supportive Grah* is...... a bloke ShockGrin

.....just so that it doesn't come as a surprise. Wink

He's never hidden the fact but sometimes we forget because he's "one of us" Grin

StuntNun · 18/08/2017 11:27

Poor Grah and any lurking blokes have had to put up with more than their fair share of conversations about periods and female hormones. I assume it's been enlightening!?

Sorry to hear you're still under the weather C4. Fingers crossed this is the last of it now.

BIWI · 18/08/2017 12:00

I think we're still waiting for the underwear picture from Grah aren't we? Grin

OldBooks · 18/08/2017 12:01

Sorry for my grumpy post this morning. Grumpiness + sudden spot outbreak + cravings + desire to hide under duvet must mean... AF is due again? It has only been a week or so...

BIWI · 18/08/2017 12:01

@StuntNun - I forgot to answer your question about adding on intermittent fasting. I think that would be really interesting. Certainly it seems to work for me when I focus on doing it.

I've completed my 24 hour unintentional fast, haven't felt hungry at all. Going to have a ham salad for lunch and fathead pizza for dinner.

I've just caught sight of myself in the mirror and for the first time I can see the difference in my shape, however I was hoping that my breasts would slim down a bit but they haven't they look absolutely enormous, I have a waist and the dreaded lower belly has started to disappear. Apart from feeling crap I feel really happy at achieving what seemed the impossible.

I've never been colour analysed, would love to have it done. Oldbooks we could go together, anyone else in the East Midlands fancy it?

ilovecherries · 18/08/2017 12:56

C4, despite a two stone loss now, I haven't lost anything off my boobs either, and apparently it's not unusual not to.

OldBooks · 18/08/2017 12:58

Oooh that would be fun C4, depends on the cost though!

oatcakesandcheeseplease · 18/08/2017 12:58

ilovecherries · 18/08/2017 17:28

I'd love a quiet spreadsheet for us guys, I really miss it. But I absolutely don't think you need to feel in any way 'responsible' for us during SSS, BIWI, you deserve some support yourself, and we've all being doing it long enough now to know what we 'should' be doing.
