Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

Distracto I'm so sorry about your dog, pets are such big parts of families I think we can all understand the requirement for wine tonight Flowers

Distractotron · 08/08/2017 20:47

Oh MOIST that just made me cry (for the millionth time tonight!). His lead hanging on its hook 😢sat here with the 8 yr old still cuddling our old man's lead. You're welcome to a photo or two. Just shared some on facebook for those people who remember loving him in the other places I've lived.

Distract I am so sorry about your dog Flowers I think you are remembering Scooby who got pregnant earlier in the BC.

Pretty great jeans NSV! Hope your son has the results he hoped for.

Kewcumber welcome! You have come to the right place Grin I totally get your fear of being hungry but stick to the WOE for a few weeks and you will be amazed, I was the same and now can go for hours without eating and not feel any the worse.

Moist, Jim you are very unlucky in colleagues. How rude to comment on someone's food (without it being part of a discussion) whether or not you agree with what they are eating!

Bella I love your six month summary, such amazing progress!

C4 that poor dog! You did make me snort with your duvet wafting. And yoLo you made me snort with your penguin killing Grin

Oatcakes FF yoghurt with creme fraiche and cinnamon is a favourite of mine. Berries are ok in moderation, and you could also add nuts. Other good breakfasts are HB eggs with butter, or those egg 'muffins' with veg like leeks or courgette, or ham and cheese roll ups. Stunt and BIWI always say to get away from the idea of having a certain food at breakfast and just enjoy whatever you want, steak even!

I have just finished my plate of eggs + cream cheese. Staying strong on the egg fast so far. Had scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast and egg mayo (with a side of cheese) for lunch. The cravings I had yesterday have gone and I haven't really felt hungry. A busy day at work helped with that! Will KOKO for one more day and then introduce some veggies on Thursday, although will still have mainly egg based meals for on Thurs and Fri.

MOIST · 08/08/2017 20:59

He's lovely Distracto.
Much love and gentle hugs. It gets easier but we never forget them.

ASDismynormality · 08/08/2017 21:03

Distractotron. So sorry to hear about your fog, that's very sad Sad

Distractotron · 08/08/2017 21:06

Thank you all. And I'm sorry about your boob thing MOIST - I don't understand what's gone wrong but everything you've said about it makes me cringe, you poor thing! I hope it hurts as very little as possible and is soon better.

Distractotron · 08/08/2017 21:07

Thank you ASD 😊

wombattoo · 08/08/2017 21:07

Distract Sorry about your lovely dog Thanks
MOIST You have got so much going on. We are all cheering you on. Good luck in the interview tomorrow. Remember, they chose to give you an interview, so they must think you have a good chance. You can only do your best Thanks

oatcakesandcheeseplease · 08/08/2017 22:20

Thanks Oldbooks that's really good advice! I've a tendency to eat the same meals everyday and get stuck in a rut and sometimes to move yourself forward you need to jolt yourself out of that rut - turn it all on its head - to mix my metaphors! Smile

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/08/2017 22:44

I have got a bloody job interview tomorrow for a job I am hopelessly unqualified to do and know virtually nothing about. I am very surprised I got an interview and haven't done nearly enough planning for it. I fear they will laugh at me.

Sounds fun!!! Grin

starsky22 · 08/08/2017 22:54

Distract so sorry about your dog, that photo is adorable

oatcakes have a look at the recipe thread on here, lots of great ideas, you need never easy the same thing twice. I'm a big fan of pinterest for ideas too, if you search for low carb or keto, you'll find lots of recipes. I'm eating way more variety on this woe, particularly veg.

Had a yummy dinner tonight, an adaption of a joe wicks recipe:
fry chorizo for 1 min, add sliced chicken and cook through, add spinach, cook until wilted, then add mozzarella and leave to melt, serve it up and add toasted pine nuts.

Today:
B almond milk latte & 1 chicken thigh
L tandoori chicken & salad
D cheesy chorizo chicken with spinach & sprouting broccoli

YoLoZammo · 09/08/2017 00:03

distracto what a gorgeous boy! And your DD too! Esp with the facepaint. I'm sure he had a wonderful 16 years with you.

MOIST good luck tomorrow. You'll dazzle them! Fake it til you make it and all that. Just be confident, you might as well because you've got nothing to lose.

GaleBeaufort · 09/08/2017 07:16

Hello! May I join? late to the party as usual. I desperately need to shift some weight as I'm now the size of a small country, we're off on holiday in 11 weeks and none of my holiday clothes fit me. I was researching the Harcombe diet and came across the bootcamp thread. I've spent most of the weekend catching up on the BC threads and it really appeals to me. My starting weight is 16st12 3/4lbs, I'm 5ft 3 and my BMI is wayyyyy to high.

OldBooks · 09/08/2017 07:42

Welcome Gale! This WOE has proven to be a revelation for many of us, hope it will be for you too. Have a read of the spreadsheet (link on BIWI'S first post on this thread) and feel free to ask any questions, there is always someone knowledgeable about!

OldBooks · 09/08/2017 07:43

moist good luck today!

Distractotron · 09/08/2017 08:07

Good luck today MOIST!

ilovecherries · 09/08/2017 08:19

Go knock their socks off, Moist!

MOIST · 09/08/2017 08:26

Thanks so much. Really kind.
I'm treating it like interview practice. It'll be good for me for future stuff But under no illusions that I'll get it.
Guts are churning a bit. Too many eggs plus butterflies. Not a good combination Grin

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 09/08/2017 08:49

Hiya Gale just jump right in!

Good look MOIST I'm sure you'll be fine.

No Bootcamp baby from me, POAS'd this morning and BFN. I'm really relieved, it wasn't really what I wanted right now.

I've realised I do better on BC Lite - so about 50g of carbs per day. Still lets me have a beloved banana or some butternut squash. I had homemade spicy butternut squash soup with feta yesterday and it was bloody lovely. Don't beat me with the stick BIWI - am I still allowed on here if I eat the occasional banana? Grin

bellalurgy · 09/08/2017 08:56

kew Every morning I have a spinach and mushroom omelette cooked in plenty of butter. I think it helps I don't eat till about 11 tho! It took a while to get out of both the 'breakfast = cereal' mode and the 'I have to eat breakfast' mode.

Thanks for the lovely comments all but I have to say, I think ALL OF YOU are an inspiration. Whatever you all have to deal with (and some of you deal with a lot) you pick yourselves up and KOKO. It helps me enormously Flowers

bellalurgy · 09/08/2017 08:59

moist you'd better hope those eggs don't come back to haunt you in the interview!

BIWI · 09/08/2017 08:59

Good luck @MOIST!

@distractotron really sorry to hear about your dog Flowers

Welcome @kewcumber I can promise you that after you're accustomed to low carbing, which should take you a couple of weeks, you'll suddenly find that you're really not hungry any more between meals. It is a complete and utter revelation to realise that you might actually have forgotten to eat!

The reason this happens is that low carbing keeps your blood sugar levels stable, which means that your hunger/satiety hormones (insulin, grehlin and leptin) are also in balance. In the Western world at least, it's not empty tummies that make us feel hungry, it's our hormones being out of balance!

And a big welcome to, to @GaleBeaufort

@oatcakesandcheeseplease go and have a read of the recipe thread, which is stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic - that should give you lots of good ideas for breakfast food.

The yoghurt you had for breakfast is fine - but in the first two weeks of Bootcamp, the blueberries aren't. They are when you move into Bootcamp Light after the initial fortnight.

HemanOrSheRa · 09/08/2017 09:21

Oh Distract Sad. I am so sorry you've lost your gorgeous boy Flowers.

Knock 'em dead MOIST. Not literally, mind Grin. You will be FINE.

AF has arrived. Yippee. Maybe I won't feel like complete pants now and can get a few days proper LC food in before our holiday. I must confess I've been hopeless these last few days due to complete exhaustion Sad. Last day of work too. Huzzah!

oatcakesandcheeseplease · 09/08/2017 09:27

Hi everyone
Thanks BIWI I'd wondered what the bc light was for
MOIST sock it to em!!
