oatcakes I had issues at first and used flaxseeds mixed in yoghurt to keep things moving. As with ilove once my body got used to the woe things have hugs improved with my digestive system and I no longer have any troubles.

Mrsmartell I slipped up a few times at the beginning. Draw a line under it and KOKO (keep on keeping on). It will make you gain a few pounds of water weight so don't take the scales to heart for a few days. Lots of water and exercise helps to recover after an episode of carby twatdom!

I just had my scrambled eggs for tea. I am so not hungry but god do I want something! Flavour! Texture! My mouth feels horrible! I have a huge mug of camomile tea which will help with the mouth feel, the rest is in my mind...

Eating an egg within 30 minutes of waking is never going to happen. I don't do breakfast. It makes me puke.

Gawd. You are all very brave doing the egg fast. I'm hanging on by my fingertips with the thought of our upcoming holiday. Two more days of stupid work left then almost three weeks off. I'm tired. AF is due. I've been a carby twat. Pffftt.

Distracatron I am definitely going to make the 'pasta' thing, it looks lovely.
cherries I broke that rule too and my breakfast at 10:30 is early for me! I'm not sure it matters too much.

Managed my 6 eggs! Just had two boiled, mashed with butter and mayo. Lush! I think I will have the same for breakfast!

Gosh I'm finding this egg fast really difficult, I think because I've just got into a routine with my food and now it's all new again.
I've got through the day and haven't cheated but I won't lie, I've been really tempted to eat anything that doesn't have a yolk and a shell.
Someone reboot me please

Sorry to hear you have struggled with it, hopefully tomorrow will be easier. If not, maybe this just isn't the best time for you to be doing this? No shame in that.
I have been LC for 7 months and am well into the swing of it, however there has been some carb creep recently so this is a bit of a reset and boost for me as I felt I needed a spell in proper ketosis.

Hi everyone, had a bad week, plus 3lbs! Yes I was a carby twat. My head is hung in shame and waiting for a flogging from BIWI.

Egg fast is hard, I did it & only lost about half a pound.

Also, I may be pregnant. DH & I threw caution to the wind on holiday & I realised when we got back that it was my fertile time. Period is now late. I will be POAS'ing at some point this week so will keep you updated (if you're interested, haha.) Can you low carb when pregnant?

I set my alarm wrong this morning so I am late, suppose the only good thing about a 7.30 start time is no-one else is in to see you are late!

Hippa how exciting! Where you actually trying or just seeing what happened, leaving it to fate sort of thing? My DBro did that and now has 2 under 2!

C4 it might be that you need a higher carb intake due to your body's needs? Maybe add green veg to one meal?

Moist I am the same, I don't have time for breakfast within 30 mins of getting up, I am rushing out the door then! I usually eat at my desk. When is your interview? Have you got new trousers?

Cherries and MOIST I don't think you need to eat within 30 minutes of waking. I expect that was put into the original egg fast plan because Jimmy Moore is diabetic.

Finally that celeriac recipe sounds lush. I hate peeling them though, I always feel like I'm going to end up injuring myself!

C4 I loved eating all those eggs when I tried the egg fast but I had just finished over a year of no eggs while breastfeeding my DS4 who is allergic. The egg fast is a bit of fun and can be a way to lose a couple of pounds fast but it isn't a sustainable diet. It's too low in protein for healthy weight loss. Maybe I should create my own version of the egg fast where you have two egg meals then have a higher protein dinner such as a small portion meat, or fish/tinned fish, plus a small amount of vegetables/salad. I would also limit the cheese rather than saying one ounce for every egg.

Nah, egg fast isn't doing it for me. Having the same sort of reaction I had when I started BC, weak, dizzy, pounding heart, feeling anxious. I'm pretty low carb anyway, so I think I will just keep on with that. There seems to be a level under which I don't feel well, and given how well I feel just sticking to plan I think that's the route for me - I hate the palpitations, and the very last thing I want is that damn itch to come back. So I've just eaten a bowl of sautéed green veg with butter, lemon, salt and garlic, and some shredded chicken and I feel much better already, after a horrible night.

Stuntnun, that is just what I have been doing since Friday! Because of toothache rather than planning - I just couldnt chew anything. I have discerned a slight movement on the scales ... but that is good for me as I've been yoyoing for ages around the same two lbs.

I am going to do 3 eggy days then have one veggie meal for the remaining 2 days, then back to BC Lite though with less of the creamy chocolatey mix that was my undoing last week...

Quick post and run: 1lb off yesterday so down to 13st 11lb Smile

NSV is that I'm back into my size 14 M&S jeans - a wee bit of muffin top but at least it means that I now have 2 pairs of jeans (along with my Size 16 Tu jeans) I can wear again Smile

Doing the egg fast this week - although might be out to dinner this evening at Sarti's (Italian restaurant) to celebrate ds' Higher exam results (he's not signed up for text/email so we have to wait for the postie who only comes mid-afternoon). There again, ds might be distraught. He was certainly getting very tetchy last night.

Slow start to the egg fast 0.2lb down, that's just a dribble really! Feel fine though.
Good luck to DS Pretty it's a stressful time, DD2 is awaiting A level results too. I feel sick, and nit just because of the eggs!

Hippa my fourth was unplanned too but we wouldn't be without him now. I did stay low carb through pregnancy but I aimed for about 50g carbs per day. The first trimester I only wanted carbs when I was feeling nauseous so I had more than usual but once the morning sickness passed I was fine going back to low carb.

Wolfcub. Depends a bit on what you're after. Beach at Kilve is good for fossils.

Two beaches at Watchet one good for fossils, one stony with old fashioned paddling pool

Dunster beach good for walking along

Minehead beach good for sandcastle and paddling when tide in

Lynmouth beach is just over the border into Devon. Good for rock pools.

All water muddy looking as it's the channel which can be a little off putting (no different from Weston though).

Minehead beach had loads of jelly fish washed up when I was there a couple of weeks or so ago. Not known this before though.

Hello.

My name is Kewcumber and I'm a carboholic

It has been two weeks since I had cake.

I have to lose a whole person before I get to a healthy BMI.

I downlaoded the spreadsheet which I have to say is a thing of great beauty and I wish I'd checked MN before going it alone two weeks ago.

I'm moderate carbing at around 80gr (after 40 years of HCLF I thought a sliding scale might help me stick to this plan long term so started at 150 and have settled at 80 this week). Exercise is a problem at present - have suspected bursitis but I know that more of a health issue than a weight issue so no excuses there.

I think I may have found my people (be kind to me and pretend that I haven't)

Egg fast has already got rid of my gain of the past few weeks, still hoping to see under 174 by the end of play. Planning 3 days egg fast only then two days easing back in to LC. Off to Scotland Sunday (8 hour drive with 3 children, we are clearly crazy!) So I will have to pack LC foods for the journey. I had become too reliant on nuts for situations like this, so must preprep some better foods!
