Need to weigh in tomorrow - TMI alert Blush and hope to get a "movement" before doing so Blush

Only a pound to go before I get to a stone and can book my cut & colour but it is proving difficult to shift literally Wink

prettybird · 24/07/2017 10:48

....but in a NSV, I seem to be getting my neck back Grin

Bibs2014 · 24/07/2017 11:26

Love this bootcamp, glad we are not going anywhere! I need you all!

Been musing this morning, every year I get to August and fall off the diet wagon after DS's birthday then cruise till the end of the year, gain loads over Xmas and promise I'll lose it next year, never do and the cycle starts all over again in January.

This time I AM NOT DOING THAT!!

Even if it takes me all year to get under 10 stone, I will do it!

I really enjoy this WOE. On Saturday I had one of DS's hula hoops - it tasted so bland! And to think I used to hoover up crisps like they were going out of fashion! Now I much prefer the saltiness of olives or ham or halloumi, bland crisps can do one!

ShastaBeast · 24/07/2017 12:02

No change, boo. One pound off a stone loss total. Still feeling bloated.

BIWI - re fruit - I know I know, I even tell other people. But I don't feel it, so many years of conditioning. Mum on a permanent low fat diet and ate tonnes of fruit - now obese, pre-diabetic and having to ration fruit. At least its berries, I used to have mangoes as a meal, shocking amount of sugar. It's good fruit now feels like a proper treat but I'm gonna try harder this week and reign it in. DH will be instructed to not buy anymore fruit and super dark chocolate.

Dosed up on pain killers and need to get some work done, not sure how achievable with the kids home. They've already tried to turn the living room into a bouncy castle with all the sofa cushions. Need to sort their room too, it's like their wardrobe exploded and there are clothes everywhere.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 24/07/2017 12:16

I'm another one refusing to weigh until I have a poo. It's been four days. Again. Angry

Well done on the losses, I haven't seen any gains this week is that right? And for those who stayed the same here's hoping for a whoosh in our final week! Namaste, bitches.

NigellasGuest · 24/07/2017 12:24

Ah that's great OldBooks - I agree about the NSVs!

what's Namaste though?

OldBooks · 24/07/2017 13:36

Ah Nigellas you missed Jiminny's post where she was undecided about going to yoga, had a stressy morning then made the snap decision to go with the phrase "Namaste Bitches"

OldBooks · 24/07/2017 13:48

She told it better but no idea which week it was! So then we adopted that as our BC catch phrase Grin

I just had lunch out with DP, dodging questions about why I am not eating rice (most LC thing on menu was chilli). Was listening to her ordering pie, going on about how big the portion was, telling DF he would have to eat some to help her, then she finished most of it then was saying how full she was, how she wasn't going to eat anything else for the rest of the day. I said to leave the bit she claimed she could not finish but she still ate it despite going on about being stuffed. It was such a performance, like she needs to announce to everyone that it was too much, she wouldn't eat any more today, like she thought we would judge her for the amount she was eating. It was sad.

FinallyHere · 24/07/2017 14:55

#namastebitches is a war cry for me, against all the carp I have been fed(sic.), about the so called healthy low-fat, high carb lifestyle, where the only thing stopping me gaining ever more weight was my own lack of willpower essential decency as a competent human being. Better late than never, I found you brilliant people, did pretty much the opposite and have lost, on average, a pound a week right through this bootcamp.

It will be only the second bootcamp I have ever made it all the way through, having started and given up to fall face first into a tub of icecreme on many, many occasions in the face of carb cravings in the first few days/weeks. Never stopped since making it through last bookcamp, with some extra coaching from stuntnun. This time, I was even confident enough to post a starting weight in the spreadsheet. Weighed myself today and, indeed, on average one pound a week has melted. There is still a very long way to go, but i am now in that dangerous zone where the right (very, very carefully chosen) clothes can disguise quite a lot. Before bootcamp, I would have been tempted to call it a day now, then to start drifting slowly upwards for the next ten years until I can find anything to fit even in the extra sizes and make another stand.

This time, I'm all about KOKO and the energy and feel good factor that comes from this woe, with thanks to all you lovely, lovely people: the people who have been modelling good practice as much as those who have been brave enough to share their stories when they have been struggling.

FinallyHere · 24/07/2017 14:56

Oh, yes, oldbooks that is a sad story.

Userwithoutaname · 24/07/2017 15:12

ragz the tops I order from boohoo arrived .. they're great, thanks again!

MOIST · 24/07/2017 15:23

I have a post-night-shift hangover. Blurgh.

I think I may need to give meatzza a go

YoLoZammo · 24/07/2017 15:24

What's even sadder oldbooks finally is that I have been that person too. Ashamed to eat and even worse enjoy eating in a public place. Who wants to see a fat person shovelling food in their gob? It's a disgusting sight. Oddly very different to watching thin people eat, which is normal, right? Ashamed to order anything thst looks delicious in case people judge. She shouldn't be eating that... Hate ordering salad because someone will always ask if you are on a diet. Hate it when the dessert menu comes round because I feel like people think I'm a greedy pig if I have any (tbf I probably was a greedy pig). The whole eating out scenario was an ordeal not a treat. And tbh I don't think it's much better on this woe because people don't understand or know about the lchf and that I'm fitter and losing weight with all the butter and cream etc. The difference now is that i give less of a shit what they think. They can judge. Fuck em. I know I'm doing the right thing for me.

JiminnyCricket · 24/07/2017 15:25

So I bought a wedding dress today.... Shock

FinallyHere · 24/07/2017 15:28

oooohh, Jiminny

ClearEyesFullHearts · 24/07/2017 15:41

What the hell happened to September?!

OldBooks · 24/07/2017 15:52

YoLo she's not fat though, size 12. But I do know exactly what you mean. It feels shameful to eat something 'naughty' in public if you are overweight.

Jiminny Shock

C4pinkwheels · 24/07/2017 16:22

Jiminny Flowers for finding a wedding dress, were there tears from your mum?

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 24/07/2017 16:28

Pics jiminny !

SayrraT · 24/07/2017 16:35

Veryflummoxed · 24/07/2017 17:32

Pictures. NOW

wombattoo · 24/07/2017 17:50

Ooh Jim - how exciting!!

Reading through the threads, this has been a very successful bc for most people. It has certainly been one of the busiest and most supportive. Well done everyone.

Most will be around on thread after bc ends. The threads will continue until the next bc.

ilovecherries · 24/07/2017 17:59

I have pork belly in the oven roasting with fennel, lemon, garlic and thyme. That's all I have to say :)

prettybird · 24/07/2017 18:00

....keeping an eye on this thread in case jiminy posts up a picture and then deletes it Wink

To be fair though, if she's bought the dress she won't actually have it yet - but I bet her mum took a photo and/or she could post us a link to the dress in question Grin

JiminnyCricket · 24/07/2017 18:13
Grin

So I was only going 'for a look' and to try on some different styles Blush I went in and said I'm a size 18 and the assistant laughed and said no you're not, let's try you in bridal 16's (so 14's in normal shops) and see how we get on Hmm

I said I didn't really know what I wanted, so she pulled a few different shapes and materials for me to begin with and I happened to try this one on first... and it was just incredible. It's a bridal 16 so a normal 14 and it fit like a glove Grin I have a waist much smaller than the rest of me so because it's a ball gown shape it makes me look TINY. It fits me to the waist exactly, then flares out at the bottom and balances out my broad shoulders. Then I took it off and tried some a lines, some more ball gowns and a couple of fishtails but something about the chunky lace on this dress is really gorgeous when you wear it. Unfortunately don't have any photos of me in it, but this is the dress Grin

Then after we bought it, mum said she bought the first wedding dress she ever tried on too Smile

I'd be happy to wear the dress the size I am now to be honest, but it can be taken in up to 2 sizes so I can go down to a size 10 no problem if I want to, but I feel really bloody happy at the moment and feel really really lovely in the dress Grin

I took a moment in the dressing room to remember that 6 months ago I wouldn't have been able to fit in anything in the shop, and now I'm in a pretty normal size for normal sized people!
