I dreamt I was eating cake! All the cake. Loads of it. Shock

prettybird · 30/07/2017 09:06

Sneaky peak at the scales and I can book my hair appointment (provided it stays that way till tomorrow Wink): 13st 12lb, ie a loss of 1 stone and 1lb Grin

The 48 hour egg fast did its business Smile Had a small steak for supper (the Lidl ribeyes were enormous so we decided to divide 2 amongst the three of us) with broccoli baked in lots of olive oil with slices of garlic and lots of Parmesan piled on top at the end while it was still hot. Yummy. Smile

Glad to hear you've got started Distractotron. Remember to drink plenty of water.

C4 - if you don't think you would enjoy the longer break, you should just go for the wedding itself. Your life is a challenge enough not to be doing something to salve someone else's conscience.

Hippo - well done for surviving - and just as importantly, enjoying - the afternoon tea.

Grah - well done for your progress. Was that Ride London you did, or just one on your own? You'll need to change your name to Grahnowonlyafatty Wink

Morning everyone!
Went out last night for dinner & cocktails, dinner was fairly low carb, cocktails not so much, but they were totally worth it!

Yesterday:
B bacon, mushrooms & fried egg
L chicken tikka & saag paneer
D 2 prawns, 2 chicken popcorn pieces, rib eye steak, verbalise saice, salad (only ate a small amount as came with Balsamic dressing), roasted cauliflower & creamed spinach
Lots of water and 4 cocktails

Looks like a lot of food when written down!

Currently tucking in to sausages, mushrooms & fried egg for breakfast

JiminnyCricket · 30/07/2017 10:20

Morning all Grin

Apologies again for AWOLtwattiness.

I had a hen do and a wedding this weekend so loads of opportunity for carby twatdom but... NOPE!

Hen do was at a steak house so I was totally fine except the gin and the wedding was a picnic with cheese and strawberries etc followed by a BBQ! Grin I drank a lot of wine but stuck to the dry white so I think that's ok and although I feel rough today, I think that's more to do with the wine than anything Blush

I'm unbelievably happy that I'm on this diet, it's so easy to get through these hurdles without going totally off the rails and it fits in so well with every day life. My amazing dad just cooked me a fry up and made me low carb sausages on his machine specially, 100% belly pork and they were SO good Grin I'm eating very very small portions at the moment, I think the fluoxetine is still killing my appetite but I am at least eating!

ilovecherries · 30/07/2017 10:23

Yay, Jim, go you :). That's great. Have you enjoyed your week off?

ilovecherries · 30/07/2017 10:27

NSV. Have had to swap my wedding and engagement rings around, so my engagement ring went on first - it slid right off and rolled away in the shower this morning. I just paid a fortune to have my engagement ring made larger about 4 months ago, too.

JiminnyCricket · 30/07/2017 10:39

ilove my week off has been lovely, I really needed it!

BIWI · 30/07/2017 11:07

Sounds like tomorrow's (final) weigh-in is going to be a good one Grin

Flowers to everyone. I think this Bootcamp has probably been one of the most successful!

Well done everyone and particularly the PPs who pointed me in the direction of flaxseed. it's been a game changer for me, loving an egg/flaxseed/cheese scone type thing hot and buttered for breakfast. It's really satisfying and doesn't kick me out of ketosis or make me bingey in the way that almond flour muffins do.

Looking like I'll finish BC with a 7lb loss, going to gym and pole fit today and eggy meals, so finishing with a flourish!

B: Flaxseed/egg scone
L: Omelette with salad
S: Cauli cheese

Good luck for tomorrow all. I'm rubbish at regular posting but definitely KOKO until my hols in September.

MOIST · 30/07/2017 11:59

6km plod followed by a bit of a fry up.
Need a nap now.

C4pinkwheels · 30/07/2017 11:59

Morning campers,

I'm flying solo as DH left at 4am for a week overseas.

Food today:

B asleep!!
L yogurt & berries
D salad with chicken and hard boiled egg

ClearEyesFullHearts · 30/07/2017 13:19

Grah is a fatty - not a Obese

GrinGrinGrin

Not sure what my weigh-in will be like tomorrow, but am feeling great in my clothes. However, I am once again not pooing regularly (what is it about weekends?) and simply refuse to weigh until I do as it's just so unfair! Grin

Plus, tonight my husband and I are going out for Vietnamese food as we've maybe, possibly, turned a positive corner in our counselling and things are looking brighter for now. (Still a long road to go before it's all love and lollipops, I have no illusions, but we are both deeply committed to the relationship and to our family.)

Anyway, as it's Vietnamese, I shall be having the pork cha gio with nuoc cham, which is the food of angels. It's basically their version of egg rolls. I will not be denied, and I will take the hit, and that will be the extent of my carby twatness for the evening (that is, no noodles, etc).

Namaste, bitches. Flowers

cathyandclare · 30/07/2017 13:25

Cleareyes get yourself some milled flaxseed, it definitely does the job for me.

NigellasGuest · 30/07/2017 13:29

Thanks OldBooks - I do find the threads really supportive!
Finding temptation hard to resist in the evenings - I think it's because I'm just tired then, and not running around doing things that take my mind off snacking etc. Evenings at the moment consist of sitting down to watch House of Cards with DH and DD1, who always like a bar of fruit and nut to heighten the experience! At least tomorrow night I will be in a hotel room, which I always find useful for habit breaking.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 30/07/2017 13:50

Thanks cathyandclare. I think. Wink

Mimosa1 · 30/07/2017 13:55

Hi everyone

Good to read that this week's weigh in promises to be a good one for many. I've had a sneak peek and just 200grams to be under my next kg. I grew up abroad and never really got the hang of lbs/stones. It would be so satisfying to come in under it. Also hoping for a "movement" Grin

FinallyHere · 30/07/2017 14:01

This is such a lovely thread, well done and thank you everyone, especially those struggling and still hanging in in there.

The breakthrough veg for me has been celeriac to sort out my (ahem) digestion. Cabbage, spinach are useful but celeriac really is the business. Like root vegetables but without the carbs.

Slice off the skin and chop into chip-sized pieces, add whatever fat works for you, plus garlic and a shallot or two. Roast on high for an hour, keep an eye out for the well done crispy edges. Add some chorizo if you like that smoky paprika flavour about 20mins from the end...(i do realise that its not easy to work out end minus twenty minutes, depends on the size of tbe pieces and the heat and position in the oven. For a complete meal, add chicken thighs but actually i don't miss them if not included.

You are probably best not to eat it all in one go, unless you have very, very easy access to a convenience

prettybird · 30/07/2017 14:16

Methinks I need to get some celeriac for tonight's meal tomorrow's weigh in Wink

Having Lidl duck breasts tonight - not the garlic and black pepper marinated ones, but I use the sand technique in cooking them and they are very nearly as good Smile

wombattoo · 30/07/2017 15:16

Afternoon everyone
I agree with BIWI. This has been the most successful and supportive boot camps that I can remember. It has also been one of the busiest I think, with lots of posters still here as we reach the end.
To all the posters and lurkers - thank you and well done Thanks Star

ragz134 · 30/07/2017 15:55

Arrghh, camping carby twatness! I'd been so good the first two days. Decided to treat myself to an ice cream this morning. Then this afternoon I've just eaten 6 choc chip cookies and two mini donuts.
I feel sick and cross... So I've confessed here and will draw a line under it. Still not going to have bread or anything tonight, a few hours off is okay but it won't ruin the day.
I'll be weighing in Tuesday as we are camping tonight, hoping to STS rather than gain.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 30/07/2017 16:34

Had a really good food day today, have been cleaning most of the day, so no opportunities to graze or think about food. Not that I do really, one of the beauties of this WOE.

B - scrambled egg & chicken
L - greek yogurt & berries
D - got a massive ham salad and mayo in the works fridge

Feels good.

What is everyone going to do after BC? I think I'll go more BC lite with the occasional foray into peppers, butternut squash etc as I'm pretty much at the weight I want to be. I definitely won't be eating processed carbs etc ever again, they definitely don't agree with me. I look about 6 months pregnant after that bit of bread yesterday. Feel really sluggish too.

Veryflummoxed · 30/07/2017 17:14

I've got a long way to go Hippa so I'll b continuing strict bootcamp with maybe the occasional nut or berry. Don't drink so that bit is easy. Grin I will continue to access the thread and hope loads of you are still here.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 30/07/2017 17:20

ragz inknownyiuve drawn a line under it but out of curiosity, do you know where you went wrong? Was it a lack of being prepared at your campsite with the right foods for you? Was it self-sabotage? Was it a particularly stressful moment(s)? Was it just a "yum yum yum" weak-willed moment?

I'm asking so you can figure it out and not give in again.

hippa I'm planning to stay Bootcamp (plus carb-free/low carb alcohol occasionally) throughout the holidays and in perpetuity until I lose the weight I need to. For me it's a very direct path. I still have 4.5 stone to lose.

OldBooks · 30/07/2017 17:42

hippa I have 5 stone to go so staying on the WOE, with occasional carb creep I expect. Will keep trying IF and egg fasting too. I am mentally gearing up for this to take years. Actually how long will it take to lose 5 stone if I lose average 1lb a week?!? Maths not my thing...

prettybird · 30/07/2017 17:46

About 16.5 months Smile

You can do it Grin
