Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So we start our last two weeks. Let's get really focused - think about the food you're eating, pinpoint any carb creep and eliminate that cheating!

If it helps, post what you're eating each day. Or even consider going back to strict Bootcamp for the last fortnight!

Flowers

Good luck to everyone

@ilovecherries - I feel your pain! And I hope very much that the hotel were able to make you a lovely, low carb fry up this morning

Bibs please ignore prettybird (sorry) re the chicken Kiev suggestion. The breadcrumbs will give you approximately 25-30 carbs.

prettybird · 21/07/2017 14:27

No offence taken. In my defence Wink, I did caveat it by saying if she'd been otherwise good on this WOE today (ie had had very few carbs up until then) and should have lots of water. Grin

Better that than fish and chips Wink

ClearEyesFullHearts · 21/07/2017 15:09

You did indeed, prettybird.

And I just ate a small slice of a Spanish tortilla, thinking it was just egg, onion, and spices. Nope, there was potato! Blush

Hi all,
I know I'm very late to the boot camp party but was wondering if it was ok to join the chat? I have a 4 week old and have put on 10kg plus the 7kg I never lost after DD1 was born 2 years ago. I started today and have a delivery of low carb food arriving later thanks to the great spreadsheet on the start of the thread. I've been reading past threads and feeling inspired.

Also, was wondering if anyone could tell me when the next bootcamp begins?

Thanks!

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 15:48

mimosa congratulations on your baby :). Just jump in with us. I'm not sure when the next BC I'd, pre-xmas I think. But I suspect a lot of us will still be on these threads.

prettybird · 21/07/2017 15:59

Welcome Mimosa. Good for you for reading the Rules and getting prepared.

Next Boot Camp will start about October time to motivate us in the run up for Christmas, I would imagine.

In the mean time, there will be support on an ongoing "in between Boot Camp" thread. Smile

C4pinkwheels · 21/07/2017 16:02

Hello everyone, I'm still feeling yuk and fed up because it's going to rain at Splendour tomorrow and sitting in a wet wheelchair is pants.

Food today is

B none as I got up late
L scrambled egg and sausages
D salad with cheese and ham

StuntNun · 21/07/2017 16:41

BoatGirl Chinese takeaways can be really variable. I've had chicken pieces with sugar on and breaded chicken wings in the past. I would go for a fatty meat such as lamb or duck in a thin sauce like garlic sauce so that you can avoid most of the sauce if it's sweet.

The scales seem to finally be moving again after staying around the same for yonks. BUT we're all going up to stay at my mum's aka THE HOUSE OF CARBY TEMPTATION next week for a week so I'm not sure how I'm going to manage that. I've been panic-buying fat so if I can keep away from the carbs then I'll have plenty of fuel. I have four packets of salted almonds, six packs of pork scratchings, 12 x 11ml sachets of olive oil, and 30 mini pats of Lurpak butter. The biggest problem is going to be managing to keep intermittent fasting because my mum will go on and on about "you know how ratty you get when you don't eat breakfast". Is anyone else's mum a feeder too?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 21/07/2017 17:33

boatgorl I'm particularly fond of the chicken or pork lettuce wraps.

wombattoo · 21/07/2017 18:01

Welcome Mimosa Congratulations on your new arrival. Just jump in with the chat and feel free to ask any questions.

mum I think your post got lost yesterday. Do you want to post a few days of the food that you are having and we will see if we can spot anything that may be preventing weight loss?

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 18:29

Yes, my mum is like that Stunt. She's lovely, but food is love for her. Plus she's a great cook. But even when I'm NOT doing BC she could outpace my ability to consume carbs!

StuntNun · 21/07/2017 18:45

After extensive research I have optimised the McDonald's menu for low carb. Behold! It's a bunless cheeseburger on top of a bunless Big Mac with a side of shaker salad dressed with my homemade vinaigrette sneaked in in a Sistema pot. Total cost £5.07.

stunt I am a feeder mum. Except now I'm a low carb feeder! Hmm

And how could you ruin a Maccy D with pickle? Shock .

And since you are obviously taking orders by displaying junk food porn, mine is a Big Tasty with bacon (sans bun n sauce). Grin Wink

Naschkatze · 21/07/2017 19:20

Some great NSVs today. I sneakily weighed this morning and I've lost another 1lb. Considering I was worried about carb creep from dairy etc I'm pleased.

Nigella Re the smoothies: I make mine with avocado, almond milk and yoghurt as the base. Then add a few berries and a touch of vanilla.

Welcome Mimosa and congratulations! As a heads up, if you're b'feeding I was told you should do Bootcamp light and not restrict carbs too far.

Stunt We ended up in McDonalds yesterday. Have you tried the signature burgers yet? So much thicker and juicier than a normal burger. Unfortunately I think the sauces might be fairly carby, mine had a mustard mayo so if there is a next time that would probably need to be left off. Just to aid your research Grin

Naschkatze · 21/07/2017 19:22

I should qualify: better than a normal burger from McDonalds. Wink

FinallyHere · 21/07/2017 19:23

Oldbooks your cauli & broccoli mix sounds delicious. I managed to snaffle the very last bag this evening, its contents sitting in the oven as i type, with some parmesan going (i hope) crispy on top.

Loving the nsv everyone,

ragz134 · 21/07/2017 19:30

Going to the pub tonight with DH and some parents from the school. NSV - I actually feel pretty! Wearing long palazzo pants and a Cami top, nothing fancy (not ready for new clothes yet), but I did do jewellery and makeup. Photos attached. I'm not 100% happy, but I feel better looking than I have for ages!

You look lovely ragz. Enjoy your evening!

Welcome mimosa. You won't regret coming here. I guarantee it!

C4 good to hear you are eating well. Just got to get it up to 3 meals now.

And in the spirit of NSVs...i am now a size 18 down from 20/22. And my bra size has gone from 38k to 34J. Might actually need a 32 really. And I only look 3 months pregnant now not 6, lol. And my energy levels are like wow compared to a few months ago. I feel younger!!!

Down side is very baggy skin. Trying to tone.

JiminnyCricket · 21/07/2017 19:52

ragz you look stunning, enjoy!

Decided I'd be a top fiancé and pick DP up from work because it's raining.. nothing to do with the cheeky gin and slimline while I wait Blush

I did just finish a double hell session... Gym before gin, that's a thing right?? Grin

YoLo Big Tastys were off the menu tonight. I love McDs pickles, DS2's friend fished his out and I was tempted to ask him for them. Nasch I was tempted by those burgers but couldn't work out what was in them. It was very busy so I couldn't take me time ordering.

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 19:54

Food today

Breakfast : fasting
Lunch: asparagus tips fried in butter and wrapped in Serrano ham, with lemon and Parmesan. Raw spinach with oil
Dinner: sautéed veg (long stem broccoli, yellow pepper, mushrooms, pan fried salmon and chorizo. (Yum yum!)
Snacks: Starbucks coffee with cream

ASDismynormality · 21/07/2017 19:57

ragz. You look lovely.

yolo. My skin is looking loose too, really not impressed with it!

I'm feeling over emotional today. Last day of school, been a fab year for DS - next year will be tough as I need to choose and fight for a secondary school for him. DD2 is also being assessed for ASD and should have her next appointment in the autumn. Feeling drained by what lies ahead but at least I am feeling healthier which in turn may make it all a bit easier to deal with. Going to have some gin tonight, feel it's really needed!

SummerSazz · 21/07/2017 20:01

Well done all on the NSV's everyone - my boss said i was looking really slim. He then backtracked as he thought I'd taken it as if he was saying I was a fatty before 😬. Was very funny and I thanked him!!

One anti NSV to report though - I think I have ruptured my stomach muscle so no exercise and a week to go until holiday. I have a BUPA appointment on Monday with the consultant I had last time I did this (2 years ago). Am hoping it is a muscle bleed and nothing more problematic.

Jim. Am drinking red wine to mask the discomfort 🍷

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 20:01

ragz, you look really lovely. Enjoy your evening. YoLo, the boobs are the one area I haven't really seen much improvement yet. Still a 36K in bravissimo today, although did have to change my style - my usual one has empty bits in the cup, but a smaller size gave me quad boob. So expensive as well, kinda resent buying them for what will hopefully only be a few weeks. I've never been smaller than 36 in my adult life, but suspect I spent most of that time requiring a bra intervention because I used to trust myself to M&S before I found bravissimo. M&S had me in a 44C by the end, but bravissimo put me in 36K a few years ago.

HemanOrSheRa · 21/07/2017 20:08

You look gorgeous ragz. You have the loveliest hair Smile. And great boobies and arms/shoulders.

We are in our caravan for the weekend. DS and his mate went for chip shop tea. I am having Waitrose Jerk chicken (it's LC) and salad Halo. I am having a glass or two of wine though. Terrible, terrible drive here in driving rain (with mine and someone else's precious cargo, arghhhh Confused) and I let DS navigate from printed directions. We got a little lost and resorted to pulling over and using Google maps sat nav doodad.
