Morning all

Flowers

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once more

So the finish line is almost in sight. I see from the last thread that some of you have been struggling to stay on track - just three more weeks to go, so stay focused.

That 'it's only one piece of bread/one glass of beer' moment really isn't worth it. Been there, got the t-shirt.

If you're bored with the food - there are two things that could help you. Firstly, think back to the last time you were doing a low calorie/low fat diet - how awful was it to have to scavenge the shelves looking for something low calorie enough, and how often were you eating food that didn't actually taste that nice, but delivered only on the basis of being low calorie? Rice cakes that might as well be polystyrene ceiling tiles, for example!

And then go and read the recipe thread for some inspiration, and find something new to cook. There's nothing on there that's difficult to do.

I'd also say that I see a lot of you are trying to recreate things that are high carb - pizza or bread, for example. These things are very unlikely to be the same, or as nice, as the high carb versions. And all the time you're trying to recreate something you're missing, you're just reminding yourself that you're missing something!

So try not to do this, but focus on things that are beautifully low carb and that you can enjoy for their own taste and benefits.

Here's to a successful week for us all.

C4 - I've contacted MNHQ. We're here for you.

secretsignal · 10/07/2017 12:23

Awesome news ClearEyes, well done!!

(((((((C4)))))))

YoLoZammo · 10/07/2017 12:46

Hang in there C4. Try and eat some good food and get some sun therapy today. It's a beautifully sunny warm day and everything looks brighter after a night of no sleep, especially in your lovely garden. Can your DH or PA whip you up some tasty scrambled eggs with garden greens and butter, while you chill with a nice cuppa? Even if you dont feel hungry it will do you lots of good.

Oliversmumsarmy · 10/07/2017 13:17

ASDismynormality the most I lose is about 3-4lbs and it goes back on at about 1/2-3-4 lb per day.
I am eating between 15-25 carbs per day.

I would love to lose an average of 1lb per week . Just had a look properly at my weigh ins and I have only lost 1.75lbs in the last 4 weeks.

At this rate it will take me 7 years to get down to a reasonable weight.

Also for the last few days I have had to leave off the dairy. So no cheese or cream as my eczema was getting too bad. I am also vegetarian. I don't know if this is sustainable for year on year.

C4pinkwheels · 10/07/2017 13:42

I've got it.

BIWI · 10/07/2017 13:58

Those of you who are struggling, it could be any manner of things - but if you post for me 3 or 4 days' worth of meals (and including what you've been drinking), let me see if I can help you.

Managed to lose 2 pounds this week, chuffed at that after a small rise last week.

Well done to everyone else and KOKO. I hope you feel better soon C4.

Quick question, am interested in the egg fast, is there a thread with instructions. How long do you do it for? What exactly can you eat with the egg?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 10/07/2017 15:01

Opinions, please?

I'm going to a tennis event (ahem) on Wednesday with centre court tickets. Grin Very excited, as first time.

However, from the highs of this week's weight loss I've gone to the lows of clothing.

Just had a quick trip to a superstore where they dont let you try on clothes Hmm before buying them.

I'll leave these photos without comment as all three outfits have niggles but I'm hoping that my long white linen shirt (not pictured) will cover a bit as well. Mostly just want to feel cool!

cleareyes I really like the trousers and top best.

secretsignal · 10/07/2017 15:07

I like the stripy navy dress. I can see it with a floppy hat to piss off the people behind you and shades. Have a lovely time.

ilovecherries · 10/07/2017 15:12

I like you in the green and blue maxi. Has the potential for dressing up a bit and gives you a lot of shaping through the bust. The Breton stripe is nice, but starting to move towards beachwear, perhaps? You do suit the trousers and top - they are probably a 'safe' option you don't want to draw attention to yourself. Which do you like best?

ilovecherries · 10/07/2017 15:13

And now you have a vote for each :D

styledilemma · 10/07/2017 15:15

Hi C4! Flowers

jimmini Hi as well, (I was wondering where you were!)

ClearEyesFullHearts · 10/07/2017 15:18

Closer views, this time with the linen shirt. Please know I don't expect anyone to be as interested in this as I am. Grin

thenightsky · 10/07/2017 15:30

Definitely the trousers and the dark top look the best.

styledilemma · 10/07/2017 15:32

style I'm doing the 5 with a blowout (well, Pimms) on Friday eve because I'm going to Butlins yeehar! Can't wait to see your results.

Klep according to my home scales I've lost 5lbs! Shock
But I don't trust them. I will report back later after I've weighed myself at the gym.

3 Day Egg Diet - How It Went (in case anybody is thinking of going on it)

It went quicker than I expected.
I didn't get sick of eggs, strangely enough.
You need to add lots of butter.
Drink lots of water.
Don't forget your salt.

Oneother little bit of advice. Once the egg fast is over, you're supposed to gradually wean yourself off the 'egg only' meals.
So today I'm supposed to be getting back to normal.
I'm meant to have 2 egg meals and 1 normal meal.
Tomorrow 1 egg meal and 2 normal meals
Next day is back to normal (lchf) meals.

Today I thought I would have my ' normal' meal for breakfast and have my two egg meals at lunch and supper.
Big Mistake.
I think my body had got so used to eggs and fat on a regualr basis that this morning, after only having ff greek yoghurt and raspberries for breakfast, I felt a bit faint in M & S.
Luckily there was a little shop opposite, so I went in and bought a pepperami and a block of cheese (of all things)
I then went back in M & S, grabbed a t shirt, legged it into the changing room and sat there eating cheese and pepperami [shame]

Within 5 minutes I started to feel more normal.
Apologies to any shoppers who were wondering where the pepperami 'stink' was coming from. Hmm

So, my advice is, to make sure that when you finish you're 5 days (or 3) that the next day, your first meal of the day should include eggs and fat.
I see now why you have to gradually 'wean' yourself off it.
My body had become so adapted to the fat (and the eggs) that it needed that food and reacted badly when it didn't get it.

Of course, it could just be that I'm weird Grin

Still, I think it was worth pointing out.

CodLiverOil556 · 10/07/2017 15:35

Checking in you lovely losers, I've lost 1.4lbs so 15.4lbs in total. I'm back on it and feeling great.

Some fab losses here this week, love it

styledilemma · 10/07/2017 15:36

Clear

All 3 look nice.
But, I prefer 2 & 3.
No. 3 can be dressed up.
No. 1 is a little bit beachy.

bellalurgy · 10/07/2017 15:39

cleareyes I really like the trouser/shirt combo, would look fab with shades and a hat Grin

styledilemma · 10/07/2017 15:40

No. 1 with a white cover up looks really nice and no longer looks beachy.
But it's two loose things together. Do you have a white top that's slightly more structured? The shirt looks a 'little' bittoo big on you.

ASDismynormality · 10/07/2017 15:40

styledilemma I'm really laughing at the thought of you eating your snack like it was a dirty secret!

Naschkatze · 10/07/2017 15:46

I'd vote for the trousers and top too Clear (because that's more what I would wear and feel comfortable in, in the heat.) Very jealous of your tennis event! Enjoy!

I just made what I am going to name pizza eggs for lunch (yes, at 3pm Hmm) Fried courgette, 2 eggs, salami, cheese and two teaspoons of passata. All sort of piled on top of each other in the frying pan. It was quite nice.

I had gained 2lbs this morning. I think really I need to do more exercise for this to work as that's the only way I've got past the 60kg barrier in the past. Just a bit tricky with the baby. Might have to resign myself to keeping these 10lbs until baby is a bit older... I've still lost inches from my waist and hips so clothes are fitting better again. I don't know.

B - Greek yoghurt, toasted coconut, a few blueberries.
S - cheese, cup of tea with milk.
L - Pizza eggs
D - Fajita salad (spicy chicken, green peppers, avocado, sour cream with salad leaves.)
