Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

Thank you c4 Black dress it is then! And I have some nice earrings/necklace.

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 01/07/2017 12:56

Am proud of myself. Really fancied a treat last night and was busy eyeing up my Hotel Chocolat Easter Eggs, but in the end decided I'd rather have a loss that the sugar so didn't give in to temptation. We'll ignore the fact I didn't say no to the whisky, though! I did, however, have a couple of potato scones with dinner, but I'd had so little all day that I doubt they did too much harm. Plus, I was in a can't be bothered food re dinner, DP suggested scrambled eggs (in a "something that's not too much bother) kind of way, but I had trouble deciding on something to go with them. And, at least eating the scones meant something less going into the compost bin. So, in total. My day looked like:

B: 2 cups of coffee
L: v small bowl of mushroom soup
D: 2 eggs scrambled with butter and double cream, dried chives, and cheese, with two potato scones and a splash of ketchup.
S: 2 straight whiskies

Have realised Fridays are my downfall. Am so tired and stressed I really need to plan something I can just throw in the oven. (I know DP could sort something, but he's not a cook, would end up using something I had plans for, it wouldn't be LC and I'd feel I had to do the dishes, which I hate doing!)

I've had some Skye and double cream for breakfast today, together with a coffee and then a cappuccino. I'm going to make a warm salad for dinner with halloumi, with a side serving of FatHead focaccia. Can't wait!

StuntNun · 01/07/2017 13:11

I'm in McDonalds for the second Saturday running and the bunless quarter pounder with cheese was much nicer than today's bunless Big Tasty with bacon. I might try a bunless Big Mac the next time I'm in.

BIWI · 01/07/2017 13:24

@AdalindSchade Congratulations! Flowers Really well done!

Did you make this? If not, do you know how many carbs were in this?

D: 2 eggs scrambled with butter and double cream, dried chives, and cheese, with two potato scones and a splash of ketchup.

I hate to burst your bubble, but that potentially is a lot of carbs there, especially with the ketchup! Did you check how many carbs were in them?

I get that it's the end of the week, but where on earth is your (low-carb) veg or salad?

Adalind congratulations! Flowers

Thanks for all the good wishes.

I had a lovely birthday meal yesterday. It wasn't mega low carb at all but I made so much better choices than what I would have previously eaten. I had yakitori chicken, stirfried greens with cashews, vegetable tempura and no dessert! Not that I normally examine what other people are eating but I noticed my friend finishing off everybody elses rice and noodles - and thats exactly what I used to do when I was on the carbs, just constantly munching. I would always eat everyones leftovers, I was like a human bin.

For the meal I'd made a facebook event inviting people and I left a really embarrassing message about I would rather nobody got me any cake Grin I got the piss taken out of me, so my friends didn't exactly respect my wishes but they didn't get me any cake.

I had a sneaky weigh this morning and I've remained at 11st7 despite my sugary chicken and battered veg.

I'm a bit worried about getting massive again this pregnancy, it was horrible last time. The reason I've been LCing is because I wanted to shift a decent amount of weight before going through another pregnancy. I was always slim until I had DD. And then I put on about 5 stone ConfusedHmmAngry

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 01/07/2017 13:58

StuntNun I fancy a maccies soon is it a terrible waste of money with no but?

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 01/07/2017 13:59

Bun! Ffs

AdalindSchade · 01/07/2017 14:11

dust how exciting! A black dress can't be wrong

StuntNun · 01/07/2017 15:26

It's okay actually Scooby just a bit low on fat. The touchscreen menus only let you take stuff off but it would be better if you could add mayo. Maybe they can do that if you ask at the counter. Make sure you ask for a knife and fork though or it would be very messy!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/07/2017 15:37

Summer Fête today, and there I was on the middle of the playground, pulling my (burnt as usual) sausage out of its bun, munching away onnit with the onions sliding along as well. Grin

ClearEyesFullHearts · 01/07/2017 15:39

Plus drinking a "virgin" Pimm's (so a glass of sugar free lemonade) with the mint and cucumber and lemon but feeling ever so virtuous telling the mum serving me no strawberries please as I'm avoiding sugar. To which she asked if I'd prefer a lager. Hmm

dustmotesinthesun · 01/07/2017 16:25

Thank you Adalind! I've not been on a date in forever and am dying for a good smooch at least at the end of it Wink It's lovely to have it to look forward to. He's pretty cute so that's exciting.

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 01/07/2017 18:23

BIWI - the soup was homemade, about 90% mushrooms, 1 small onion, garlic and homemade stock. There were 20g carbs in the scones, and 3.5 in the ketchup. I know I should have had more veg but I usually do eat lots so am hoping one day won't set me too far back. Oh, and I forgot I had asparagus with it so it wasn't totally devoid of greenery.

Tonight I'm having a huge salad.

ilovecherries · 01/07/2017 18:56

Breakfast : fasting
Lunch : mixed grill with greenery
Dinner: tapas and large salad

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 01/07/2017 19:02

I've been trying to keep up with everyone's posts but the last time I looked we were at page 18!
Congrats scooby I'm getting all wistful about squishy newborns now, we've stopped at 2 but I could have happily had another after ds and had a small gap, 5 years between dd and him, not through choice though.
I've had a good few days, lots of temptation in the firm of cakes in work everyday, weirdly someone brought in some itsu seaweed that is heard about on here, I was very over excited...
Ive been to Sainsbury's and spent a fortune on coconut flour and flax. I'm hoping I can try a few things this week, those sausage rolls look amazing. I'm just pissed off it costs so much!
I'm annoyed with dh, I've told him I've stopped eating carbs and how good I'm feeling, told him I'd lost weight, he's then planned food for the week so I could do the shop after work Friday and it's all fajitas, roast, Bolognese, sausage casserole etc.
I think I can manage to make them all low carbs, apart from fajitas as the seasoning probably has sugar in it, plus no tortillas. Unless I can make them from something expensive I've bought from sainsbugs?
B. Bacon
L. Tuna salad in lettuce leaves, chicken drumstick, pate and
d. Fajitas without the toryill it's looking like...
Plus I've a bottle of red I had glass out of last night and I hate waste so it might get drunk....no willpower...

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 01/07/2017 19:08

So intermediate food day for me. Hungover Blush
B: 2 black farmer sausages and eggs scrambled in butter
L: yoghurt and double cream with tablespoon of mango chia seeds
D: beef madras made in the instant pot with roasted cauliflower. I've reduced the amount of tomato and made it more of a oil based sauce
S: about 40g of jarlsberg, bit of butter

Naschkatze · 01/07/2017 19:40

I seem to be surviving on 2 meals a day at the moment - mainly due to DH's shifts, as I like to eat with him. I'm probably inadvertently doing some intermittent fasting... I'd try it properly but I know that as soon as I did I would be hungry when I wasn't 'allowed' to eat. It's all in my head! Hmm

Brunch: (about 10am) Cream cheese pancakes, a few raspberries mashed to make a 'sauce' and a spoon of yoghurt.
S - 4 cheddar 'crisps', coffee almond milk.
D - (7pm) chilli con carne (no beans) and roasted veg (courgettes, aubergines, green peppers.)
80g Strawberries (probably a bit too much, but they were going over...)

MOIST · 01/07/2017 20:11

B. Cream coffee
S. More cream coffee
L. Fried chicken
D. Fathead pizza

No vegetables. I'll get scurvy.

starsky22 · 01/07/2017 20:35

Youcantscare I'd turn the fajitas into fajita salad - chicken, lettuce, peppers, avocado etc. and if you have the spices it's easy to make the fajita seasoning yourself. I can tell you how I make mine if you want?

OldBooks · 01/07/2017 20:36

Struggling a bit today, well the last few days really.

AF has arrived today with her usual hurrah of spots, horrible PMT, desperate cravings and backache. Right now I am not hungry. I know I am not. But I just want to EAT. Trying to 'surf the urge' with a pint of camomile tea. Have been a slightly carby twat today but on the whole controlled the impulse to jack it in and have cake. Looked at myself in the mirror post-shower and I looked better than I have for ages, which is why my mood being EAT is all the more frustrating.

B: 1 egg, grana padano and mozzarella cheese fried in butter, followed by a spoon of Total and a spoon of creme fraiche mixed together
L: half a courgette fried in butter sprinkled with grana padano cheese, dolloped with creme fraiche
T: fathead pizza with courgette and aubergine slices for topping

I am in a rut of eating cheese, egg and veg and little else. Need to shake it up next week. You all seem to cook such interesting dishes and I just don't have time/inclination!

I feel like I am at an interesting stage where my appetite has really dropped off, but my 'conditioning' around food means that I don't listen to those instincts so I make more than I need, or plan side dishes that I don't need, or keep eating when I am full. Yesterday I left food on my plate, which is virtually unprecedented. I need to make a very conscious effort to pay more attention to my body's signals.

OldBooks · 01/07/2017 20:40

Oh, I left out the carby twatness ... 2 rows of a 70% dark choc ... really tasted sweet and I think is responsible for the indigestion I have had all afternoon...

And this is my 3rd round with AF this BC, last finished on the 11th June Angry I know, I know, it is a good sign. I think I get a woosh then AF comes!

Giraffeski · 01/07/2017 20:44

youcantscareme
Depends on the fajita seasoning brand- I use a Barts one when I can't be arsed doing my own and that is just garlic, salt and spices
Old El Paso one has sugar I think

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 01/07/2017 21:33

This was also own brand, didn't get chance to check the box. I did my best to make coconut flour tortilla pancakes and did chicken thighs in skin, so hopefully balance out the sugar a bit.
If I'm still in the first two weeks and have something carby does that fuck it up completely, the media is thing?

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 01/07/2017 21:35

starsky thanks only just spotted your reply too late, dh had already made it. But yes that would be great, thanks!

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 01/07/2017 21:39

Ketosis not media...weird auto correct!
