Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

If 20-50g carbs is ok then I'm not feeling remotely guilty about my 7.2g worth of carbs in my protein noodle salad today. Total carbs for the day 25g (I don't drink milk and rarely have fruit so I think that helps)

Naschkatze · 30/06/2017 00:11

Clear Flowers I'm sorry, that sounds difficult.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 30/06/2017 00:20

Thanks, Nasch. It is difficult, but I think all long-term, real life relationships are. Because life is difficult.

And also glorious. Wink

ClearEyesFullHearts · 30/06/2017 00:24

Ps--had a sneak weigh-in today and saw my lowest Bootcamp weight. So despite my 5 pounds that want to play see-saw, and despite any personal problems, the long term trajectory is down, down, down, baby. So koko, etc. Wink

FinallyHere · 30/06/2017 06:46

what the hell will we do when bootcamp finishes.

Well, ummm, you see, C4 I think we join the interim thread, then sign up for the next bootcamp. That's what I did (once I finally (sic) ) stopped dropping out on about day 3 after a bit of a binge

AdalindSchade · 30/06/2017 06:59

Morning folks
I have an interview this morning to go up to the next level in my job. I haven't slept properly for 3 nights and I'm tired Sad

JiminnyCricket · 30/06/2017 07:04

ada best of luck!!

OldBooks · 30/06/2017 07:13

I missed so much yesterday!

Scooby congratulations! Dd1 was 2.5 when dd2 was born and I won't lie, it was hard, but then it turned out dd1 had hearing problems which were affecting her behaviour.

Sayrra another one suggesting publishing, especially if you enjoy writing. But also leading students is totally different to leading colleagues so don't dismiss it.

C4 glad you are home and hope your night was ok. The threads don't stop between bootcamps, I joined in on an interim thread in mid April before the current BC started.

Yesterday I had breakfast as normal, eggs and butter, and then gradually started to feel awful. Horrible twisting stomach cramps. It lasted all day, I could barely drink or eat anything as soon as I did it made my stomach tie up in knots. I ended up going to bed as soon as DC were down.

This morning I want to try eating but don't know what to have. I don't want to eat anything carby but I can't face eggs or yoghurt or fat either Confused

AdalindSchade · 30/06/2017 07:15

Thanks!

Notso · 30/06/2017 07:20

Stunt I totally agree on the 4 not being 4 times the work, though mine are about 40 times the washing Grin my 6 and 5 year old entertain each other most of the time now. 17 year old DD is probably the hardest work at the moment, she is in the process of having CAHMS assessments for MH issues, has not coped well with exam stress and had falling out with friends she has had a rough few years.

SayrraT · 30/06/2017 07:31

Thanks for job suggestions so far. I'm going to investigate all suggestions as I am open to trying anything. I'm just just not enjoying the post-doc at all (although, this one has been particularly difficult physically and mentally).

I'm employed until May next year though there will probably be money for a few months more but I want to have an idea of what else I might like so I don't end up accidentally in another post-doc!

SayrraT · 30/06/2017 07:33

P. S I said I like writing but please don't judge my scientific writing on my forum writing Grin

OldBooks · 30/06/2017 07:36

Hah hah Sayrra knocking out a quick forum post while doing 20 other things isn't the same as prepping a proper piece of writing! I write a lot for work and I am in the middle of a PhD and I hope my writing is better than these posts!

SayrraT · 30/06/2017 07:47

Grin I know, I just thought it'd be typical that I'd said I enjoy writing then made a massive error in my post.

littlebillie · 30/06/2017 07:50

I am the lightest I have been in over a decade but I have complete lost my appetite, should I be worried about this? I have had a very sad family incident over the last two weeks and I am wondering if it is that.

SayrraT · 30/06/2017 07:53

littlebillie I could be, sorry to hear you've had sad news. Also on lchf it seems that sometimes, some people just lose their appetite. I know I did when I started. I just had to make myself eat something.

littlebillie · 30/06/2017 07:56

I remember thinking that losing your appetite was a fantasy scenario as I was always hungry but now it is an effort to eat. I have just stopped thinking about it. In a way perhaps the carbs create an appetite we all don't really have. I am eating lots of veg and sticking to the LC but I don't get the same signals as I did.

C4pinkwheels · 30/06/2017 08:26

Ada good luck with the interview

Finally thanks for the info, glad you made it this time, is this bc different to others that you've done?

Littlebillie so sorry that you're having a hard time, stress can knock you're appetite off, but congratulations on being the lowest weight for ten years.

Oldbooks what about a more veggie based breakfast, courgettes in Parmesan, grilled tomato with ham or bacon, steamed spinach with ham or wait and have brunch later.

HemanOrSheRa · 30/06/2017 08:42

Morning!

C4 I hope you are feeling a little better? Flowers.

Scooby! A little bootcamp baby! Congratulations Smile.

Sayrra I'm a Housing Officer so of no help to you whatsoever Grin.

Clear bless you, love Flowers. Today is another day and all that.

Good luck Adalind!

How is your dog Chester?

I've been feeling very off colour this week Old. I thought I had a bit of a virus at the beginning of the week but my digestive system has been unsettled all week. I only ate a smoked mackerel salad yesterday at 3pm and I regretted that! Maybe there is something in the air Confused.

C4pinkwheels · 30/06/2017 08:51

I am feeling absolutely rank but that's because I'm taking nuclear strength antibiotics, I'm sure if I could feel my bladder it would hurt like hell so there are some advantages to being me. I have serious cabin fever, depending on what time the GP calls and district nurse comes to take blood I may roll into the village late, would love to go out properly but I know it will cause problems if I do.

I have no food plans other than making a fathead pizza for dinner
There is a ton of salad to eat from the garden so I think I will have salad with hard boiled eggs for lunch

HemanOrSheRa · 30/06/2017 08:52

Oh and congratulations billie on your weight loss but sorry you are having a difficult time Flowers. Could be a bit of both that has knocked your appetite off? I've been struggling with losing all interest in food Confused. I've thought about nothing else for as long as I can remember because I've always been hungry too, like you. But I haven't had any stress out of the ordinary to deal with. I wouldn't worry too much yet. I think you are right that carbs give you in appetite that you never really had. My sister is one of those strange creatures who completely loses her appetite in times of stress whereas I've always stuffed my face.

needtoloseastone · 30/06/2017 08:57

Hi all is there such a thing as too much fat on this WOE?

HemanOrSheRa · 30/06/2017 09:01

Apparently not need! I asked the same thing a few weeks ago. You will just feel sick and VERY full.

needtoloseastone · 30/06/2017 09:05

Thanks Heman, I've just started and not feeling hungry at all which is a first but I'm eating so much fat it's unbelievable!

OldBooks · 30/06/2017 09:06

Heman it's not pleasant is it? I have a horrible cough too so thought maybe the coughing and swallowing gunk/air was upsetting me Envy

Chester and billie sorry things are hard Flowers

Adalind good luck!
