Week 6 - Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - we're racing on!

Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

JiminnyCricket. Pushing it on you isn't on!

JiminnyCricket · 29/06/2017 12:04

Haha yep, she only ever calls me to tell me what I should and shouldnt be doing to lose weight Hmm

She saw me in town the other day and was "very concerned" about my weight loss and I'm looking "too thin"...Hmm I'm still very obese Confused BMI has only dropped from 42.7 to 36.6 so she's either delusional or trying to get me to stop losing so she can catch up Grin

DP had to have words with her after the last family gathering because she was pulling faces behind my back when I refused to eat cake.. it's just nastiness and bile.

I hate it because when I was 19st, she was bloody lovely to me and we got on really really well!

C4pinkwheels · 29/06/2017 12:19

Ada you would not believe some of the underhand tactics that go on to try and oust me from the practice. I could almost book an ongoing appointment with the dickshit practice manager to discuss this months complaints. In the past they have:

Refused to send my prescriptions to my preferred pharmacy - lots of controlled drugs, unusual meds that have to be ordered in etc
Always - every month fail to send my prescription for catheters, irrigation kits to the supplier and they have to be chased up by them/me
Tried to ration the number of catheters I have because I don't need to pee six times a day
Tried to ration my anal irrigation kits because according to the dickshit practice manager I could empty my bowels every third day - and save them a load of money
Miss items off my prescriptions
Change my drugs without consulting me or my specialists.

So I stay because I live in a village and they are the only practice, some of the GP's are awesome and I didn't do anything wrong oh and I'm a stubborn bitch.
My grandfather used to say to me "C4 always occupy the moral high ground because when the floods come it's the most comfortable place to be"

Jiminny I've said it before, your MIL is a diet saboteur and she can't stand the thought of you being thin and her being fat at YOUR wedding.

cabbage67 · 29/06/2017 12:21

Jiminny I'm losing it in strange places (weight, not my mind)

Chest, but not my boobs, waist and hips but not my thighs, and off my right calf, but not my left! What's that all about?

B: fasting
Lunch: 2 chicken thighs and a few mini mozzarella with tomatoes
D: I think it might be a kebab with my own 1000 island dressing
S: Creamy coffee

No water so far, but 2 cups of tea.

Have a good day all

Jiminy your MIL is ridiculous! It makes for very entertaining reading but I'm sorry you have to put up with it.

C4 kudos for having the strength to battle with shit GP practice on top of everything else you've got to deal with. Hope your stay in HDU is brief & get well soon Flowers

ilovecherries · 29/06/2017 12:49

Jim, I know, what's that about. My left kneecap is looking almost perfectly formed, my right is still blubbery. And I seem to have lost backfat, meaning my 36 inch bra is now it tightest hooks, but still have K cup boobs at the front. My top belly is much flatter, but underneath my belly button looks really weird and uneven.

StuntNun · 29/06/2017 12:53

If it's any consolation Jiminny my MIL and her SIL staged an intervention when I was at my ideal weight because they were worried I had lost too much weight. I had to laugh as they clearly had no idea that I could still grab handfuls of fat on my tummy, there was no way on earth I was wasting away to nothing. When I was pregnant with DS4 we didn't tell my MIL until about 13 weeks (because DH didn't want to admit to his parents that we were having yet another baby Hmm) Turned out she had noticed my rapidly increasing girth but was quietly gloating to herself about my weight rebound.

OldBooks · 29/06/2017 12:56

C4 if your HDU is at QMC and you need anything let me know, I am about 20 mins away. Flowers

ChesterDrawers · 29/06/2017 13:00

I have a low carb feast from M&S for lunch. I bought crispy bacon strips, chorizo crisps, mozzerella balls in pesto, roasted almonds, cheese and onion sandwich filler and a 35g bar of dark chocolate. I'm not planning on eating it all for lunch but am having a bit of a picnic and it's lovely.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 29/06/2017 13:15

Jiminny your MIL is jealous. Simples. Just keep on what you're doing.

C4 I'm only about an hour away too, you've got my number, let me know if you need anything. Although I will have DD2 with me!

Chester that sounds lovely, enjoy.

Just been to Starbucks with the buggyfit girls and ordered an americano with sugar free hazelnut syrup & pouring cream. It was heavenly. I keep discovering new nice drinks on this WOE!

JiminnyCricket · 29/06/2017 13:44

Just had yoga.. turns out I pulled my shoulder out whilst tire flipping last night, it went crunch during cat stretches Grin

I need to eat something for lunch as I wont get time before dinner but I can't get hungry :/

FinallyHere · 29/06/2017 14:52

Jiminny she's either delusional or trying to get me to stop losing so she can catch up

Well, I know which I would put my money on

C4 Flowers [don't usually do emojis but words fail me at how you are being treated. I have been in despair at what compared to yours is very very low level difficulties DH suffers with our local practice].

FinallyHere · 29/06/2017 15:18

Another possible NSV Has anyone else noticed any difference in their attractiveness.... to mosquitoes?

I used to get 'eaten alive' at home and abroad, while in the same locations as DH, who would just not be. Even as a child, I was bitten a lot more than the rest of my family. This past holiday, not at all. In fact DH was bitten twice, I wasn't at all. DH ate some of the complimentary sweet treats that I usually hoover up, could it be that since I've been doing LCHF bootcamp my blood is less sweet and no long delicious to mosquitos?

I won't suggest that thus is the best change ever, but it is very very welcome difference....

Kleptronic · 29/06/2017 15:31

Bloody hell Finally I'm envious if your NSV, they're still biting me like buggery!

Sunborn · 29/06/2017 15:41

Maybe the mosquitos are all on SW and are avoiding any fat in your blood Wink.

C4pinkwheels · 29/06/2017 15:42

If I have to say "I don't want or need a glucose drip, ketones are not a disease" one more time I might scream.

I don't have a bedSad or it could be 😀 because if there is not going to be a bed I can't go and have a PIC line put in for antibiotics and won't be able to stay. I feel fine not at my best and still pissing stuff at looks like cherry aid but I don't feel desperately ill like I usually do when I arrive.
I have a UTI an ear infection and my throat feels a bit sore but I don't think I'm sick enough to be here. I've told them I want to go if they still don't have a bed at 5:00pm and the voice of reason Ward receptionist has booked me a taxi for 5:30 just in case. It just feels like an extreme way to get antibiotics which I was able to start the minute I arrived.

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 29/06/2017 15:51

C4 FlowersFlowersFlowersFlowers

I hope you get sorted swiftly.

Having a bit of a strange afternoon here, period was a bit late, but I'm a bit irregular so I end up doing a pregnancy test most months to rule pregnancy out.

Anyway, I'm bloody pregnant. Feel quite in shock and odd. Wasn't expecting to be at all.

AdalindSchade · 29/06/2017 15:53

Sadly declutterer and babysitter are out as DH hates having people he doesn’t know in the house.

Chester, no babysitters...ever? Hmm
