I know! Doesn't time fly when you're having fun? Wink

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation!

Remember, week 4 is, like week 3, a time when weight loss tends to be pretty slow, if not non-existent. KOKO and persevere, and things will get going again soon.

But not if you cheat! Whilst many of you have been very honest about your transgressions, just remember that this WOE is not a very forgiving one. It's not like a calorie-controlled diet, where you can compensate for one 'bad' day with a 'good' one. As some of you have already found out the hard way!

Achy legs would suggest your electrolytes are out of balance/need replenishing - magnesium in particular is associated with leg cramps.

These are the best sources of magnesium:

Spinach — 1 cup: 157 milligrams (40% DV)
Chard — 1 cup: 154 milligrams (38% DV)
Pumpkin seeds — 1/8 cup: 92 milligrams (23% DV)
Yogurt or Kefir — 1 cup: 50 milligrams (13% DV)
Almonds — 1 ounce: 80 milligrams (20% DV)
Black Beans — ½ cup: 60 milligrams (15% DV)
Avocado — 1 medium: 58 milligrams (15% DV)
Figs — ½ cup: 50 milligrams (13% DV)
Dark Chocolate — 1 square: 95 milligrams (24% DV)
Banana — 1 medium: 32 milligrams (8% DV)

Obviously you can't have the figs, black beans or banana!

Breakfast: Atkins bar - I know I shouldn't but I eat while travelling!

Lunch: 2x bacon, 5 asparagus spears, 1x boiled egg.

Snack: jelly.

Dinner: 2x eggs in mayo, avocado, spinach, olives.

Pudding: jelly and 100ml double cream.

Does that look ok?

I am trying to incorporate more veg etc as I was eating to much protein and had a 3 week stall.

MOIST · 14/06/2017 21:59

How bad would a couple of beers be? On a scale of 1=fine to 10=total fuckup?

shittymctwatface · 14/06/2017 22:01

11?

AdalindSchade · 14/06/2017 22:01

Beers would be a 9/10 I think! Can you choose a spirit or dry white?

BIWI · 14/06/2017 22:02

Don't do it @MOIST! There's a lot of carbohydrate in beer. If you want a drink, you'd be better off having a spirit with a low calorie mixer. Or a glass of dry wine.

@shittymctwatface - there's an awful lot of artificial and processed food in your menu today! I get that you were travelling, hence the Atkins bar, but there are a lot better alternatives these days. And two lots of jelly?!

You really need to cut the artificial sweeteners down, if not out. They won't be doing you any good and could potentially risk impeding your weight loss.

MOIST · 14/06/2017 22:03

No wine or gin in the house.

I am excessively pissed of with something and need alcohol.

shittymctwatface · 14/06/2017 22:03

Is it just the jelly and the Atkins bars?

WaaWaaWaaa · 14/06/2017 22:05

Gah! Had a cookie today a large one. Didn't even really enjoy it it was a but underbaked and I felt like I could feel the crunch of the sugar in it. I'm such a fool. Just kind of got it into my head aaaaaahhhhh might as well, going away Sat/Sunday got a party Saturday... Might as well have something now. Bloody idiot. Kept on track rest of the day and got a plan tomorrow

shittymctwatface · 14/06/2017 22:10

The jelly is 0.4carbs per pot and sweet enough to curb any cravings.
What are acceptable alternatives?

Mandelinka · 14/06/2017 22:13

styledilemma
For the coconut bread I used about 40g of softened butter, pinch of salt and baking powder, 1 egg and small amount of coconut flour ( guessing 3 teaspoons) mixed together and microwaved for 1.5 min
I know most ladies here are not keen on this 'bread', I really enjoy the nutty sweetish flavour. And it tasted soooo good fried in a pan and topped with cheese and egg.

BIWI · 14/06/2017 22:18

@shittymctwatface - it's not just about the carbs! It's about the fact that they contain artificial sweeteners, which (check rule 10!) we're tryingi to avoid on Bootcamp. We're also avoiding them so that we can break the hold that sweet things have over us.

So you've had 3 sweet treats today - that's not going to help you.

Also, as well as the jellies and the Atkins bar, you've had bacon - which is also a processed food. You need to focus more on fresh, unprocessed foods.

OP posts:
BIWI · 14/06/2017 22:19

@MOIST - you don't need it! That's like falling into the biscuit tin.

I'm sorry you're so pissed off - why not rant about it here? That's carb-free Grin

Thanks BIWI

dustmotesinthesun · 14/06/2017 22:24

Weight watchers never worked for me because i did just save a lot of my points for pasta. I felt dreadful on it and kept thinking the more carbs i ate the better i might feel. So sw would be a disaster for me. I know i would be on an endless pasta binge. Cornflake chicken sounds gross.

I made it out to Morrisons. I wasn't in the mood for it. Too tired probably. Got lots of nice veg though and some strawberries. Lots of pork scratchings too so the cupboard is stocked. I'll be glad i went when i wake up tomorrow and have a fridge full of food but it wasn't as cheap as i was hoping.

dustmotesinthesun · 14/06/2017 22:25

Oh and i had a really good food day. Always nice to have a good day isn't it? I go to bed feeling i've achieved sonething. My butter kept me full.

styledilemma · 14/06/2017 22:26

madelinka thanks for that.
I used that recipe this morning and this time I remembered to but some butter in Smile and it came out nice and cakey tasting.
Yesterday's was a bit eggy (I forgot the butter) No wonder it didn't taste so great!

ilovecherries · 14/06/2017 22:26

Can anyone suggest good in flight options? Long haul flight next week. Last week I got caught because Id taken nuts and there was someone with a severe nut allergy on board so couldn't eat them. I won't have access to a fridge for about 14 hours before flying, so cheese/eggs etc are out. While going without for 7 hours won't kill me, I'd rather have something so I'm not tempted to have a 'what the hell' moment out of hunger or boredom.

AdalindSchade · 14/06/2017 22:28

Exploded babybel keeps well in a sealed pot, they are like crisps.

styledilemma · 14/06/2017 22:32

Glad you had a good day today dustmotes.
I think a few of us were feeling out of sorts yesterday Confused
Moist Can you distract yourself for an hour. The craving will pass.
BIWI What's your stance on pork scratchings? Are they as processed as bacon or not so bad? Can we eat them, in moderation?
They always taste a bit too salty to me and my brain thinks 'anything this salty can't be good for you'. Shock
but that could be my pre-carbing brain talking

ragz134 · 14/06/2017 22:32

Lunch - salad, boiled eggs, cheese and mayo.
Dinner - halloumi, rocket, cucumber, stir fried broccoli and mayo.
Dessert - ff Greek yog, cream and a drop of vanilla extract.
One tea with milk, four black coffees and plenty of water (3l).

Also did a karate session.
I have pork belly in the freezer, I don't have apples but I'm sure I could slow cook it on something else.

BIWI · 14/06/2017 22:34

@styledilemma - I think it probably depends on the brand. Check the back of the pack to see what the ingredients are.

I don't normally buy them, although I have recently discovered the M&S ones, which are lovely!

OP posts:
Naschkatze · 14/06/2017 22:35

Cherries Depending on where you're flying from, can you buy something at the airport? Most places I've flown out of in the U.K. have a Boots/M&S/similar where you should be able to get some snack food that will last okay out of the fridge for the duration of the flight. Cucumber sticks, cheese etc.

Could you maybe make some flax/coconut bread with butter with you too? Or did you say you were avoiding bread like items?

Cheese crisps from the recipe thread?

HemanOrSheRa · 14/06/2017 22:49

ilove Olives? Vac packed ones? M&S deli stuff or HM similar? Well packed cool bag that can be discarded?

Pfffft. I'm having wine. Sorry Sad. It's been a difficult day. I didn't want to mention it but I feel the need to confess Confused I'm a Housing Officer for Older People. Lots of very scared people after today's events. I'm exhausted, worried and very angry. I'm on call at the weekend and we always get called to fire alarms. Sorry. Just off loading here a bit.

Mandelinka · 14/06/2017 22:52

Cherries
I'm sure unpeeled hard boiled egg would be fine for the duration of your flight. Also halved green pepper travels well, cheese, almonds, celery sticks etc
