I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

Iced decaf with almond milk and cream. Bit too much ice and I tried blending it, would have been nicer just poured over ice but really tasty and a nice treat

Anyone have tea with double cream? Is it yucky? Most of you seem to have creamy coffee, just wondered if there were any tea-lovers amongst you!

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 20:29

Breakfast : small bowl of FF yog (maybe 50gms). Definitely losing notion for breakfast.
Lunch: small pan fried trout with lemon butter and mixed leaf salad with olive oil
Dinner: Home made mousakka and mixed leaves (mousakka also had shallot, spinach, mushroom and aubergine in it)

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 20:30

I drink my tea black and very weak. Can't stand milky, fatty tea, but love a creamy coffee now and then.

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 20:33

Beanie, with quorn mince you'll need to add a lot of fat to make it work - quote is so low fat I think it would need fat to make it boot camp friendly, but in any case, you'd need it for binding.

AdalindSchade · 31/05/2017 20:36

Ew to creamy tea

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 20:39

Well, another interesting (to me!) thing happened today. I had lunch at 1ish, but didn't eat dinner till 8pm, and I was completely unrattled by it. No snacking at all. That never happens to me.

secretsignal · 31/05/2017 20:43

I'm a tea lover Red. Started with milk (carbs) then soya milk (lower carbs) now almond milk (no carbs) It's an acquired taste, but I'm getting used to it. Never tried it with cream...

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 20:43

Aw come on ilove you can't post a photo like that without the recipe. It looks gorgeous!

RubyGoat · 31/05/2017 20:47

Today I had:
Breakfast - Greek yoghurt with a sprinkle of seeds.
Lunch: homemade smoked mackerel pate, celery, lettuce & cucumber.
Snack: 2 boiled eggs & a few cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: chicken breast bashed out flat, rolled around some smoked cheese, & sprinkled with smoked paprika, served with spinach. (Really lovely, I made extra for lunch tomorrow & will be making it again.)

I felt dizzy & really tired all day at work. I know it will get better but right now I really ache. (How long does it take for this stage to be over?) Really missing fruit - I'm not really missing other carbs as I didn't have lots of staple carbs with my meals.

Naschkatze · 31/05/2017 20:47

Ilove Looks amazing! Can we have the recipe please?

Red I love tea. I've not had as much the last two weeks because I don't like it without milk and sugar. I've had a few cups with almond milk... it's ok. I'm switching to coffee for the time being though until I can be trusted to drink tea without adding sugar, even if it was only ever half a teaspoon.

RubyGoat · 31/05/2017 20:48

Oh & 2 creamy coffees. Maybe another before bed (I'm strictly decaff). Plus lots of water.

Naschkatze · 31/05/2017 20:50

Oh, and whoever posted about Beanies flavoured coffee, thank you! I got some of the toffee flavoured one today (Sainsbury's) and it's great! Apologies to coffee purists.

SayrraT · 31/05/2017 20:53

Rode my naughty horse tonight and he behaved Grin I do have a sore neck and hip though.

I just have tea without anything but you could try watered down cream?

Goodness, I can't keep up with this thread!

Food today-
B: sausages and mayo
L: roast chicken breast, skin on. Buttered green beans and a big salad with Caesar dressing.
D: sausages with roast Swede and buttered cabbage.

Feel very full and more than a little bit sicky. 3.5L of water down, but I'm still thirsty.

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 21:13

Heman will post on recipie thread tomorrow, just on my phone tonight. I quite enjoy cooking, and I spent years experimenting to make things as low fat as possible, so I'm loving adapting them again to make them low carb. I rarely use a recipie, just experiment as I go, so I'll post what I did tonight, next week it might be quite different - though it was extremely good tonight, so I will definite do that again

ilovecherries · 31/05/2017 21:15

Naschkatze, I'm with you, love flavoured coffee. I di wonder if it had some nasties in it, but I have the Ameretto Almond to try.

antimatter · 31/05/2017 21:16

I sleep well, hunger pangs are gone, I feel I have more and more energy and weight is slowly going down. What not to like?

nearly 9 weeks till my holiday, I hope to be shopping for new clothes before going away :)

JiminnyCricket · 31/05/2017 21:17

I took the hounds out for a little walk.. Eric decided it wasn't long enough and had a tantrum in front of a group from the local golden retriever formation team who were practicing on the field.... he threw himself on the floor and started barking his head off because he didn't want to go back home... The death stares were so intense I'm pretty sure they've left a burn mark on the back of my head...

He wouldn't get up and come to me when I called his name.. so in desperation I did the only thing that occasionally works. I bellowed across the field...

'ERIC?? DO YOU WANT SOME CHICKEEEEEEEEEN?!?!?''

Cue 27kgs of basset hound flying across the field to me at top speed while his brother Elvis rolls around in something that smells like rotting seagull while I was distracted.

THE SHAME. Blush

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 21:22

Thanks ilove!

Look at that dirty belly and squidgy paws Smile.

Katemoon17 · 31/05/2017 21:26

Hi there everyone - I recently (Sunday) started a Low Carb diet and have been following this thread with great interest! You all seem so lovely and supportive! Would I be able to join now or is it a bit too late?

Thanks in advance!

Kate

ShastaBeast · 31/05/2017 21:35

I have creamy tea and enjoy it, I'm a late comer to tea drinking however, perhaps less sophisticated palate compared to my coffee snobbery.

That was my worst day in a while, not enough sleep due to pain, loads of pain and stiffness so more meds than usual, felt weak, foggy headed and nauseous - could be ill or is carb flu possible on day ten? I had a bit carbs than recently with 32g, 110g fat is also higher than usual, 49g protein is much lower.

B- creamy coffee at 10am, Greek yoghurt at 12ish with creamy tea
L- salad, avocado, mozzarella, black olives
S- 2 creamy teas
D- low carb burger, salad, mayo and avocado

Loads of warm and cold water. Still feeling a bit ropey.

A science question - is there any evidence this type of eating will help lower bad cholesterol? Mine is a bit high, along with BP, but DH has just found out his is high too. He eats too much sugar and also buys it for the kids. A study in a journal would help talk him round, he's already cooking for me and eating the same, except he'll top it up with a large bowl of sugary cereal. Thanks!

Nosocksevermatchup · 31/05/2017 21:47

Biwi and anyone else who can check what I'm eating I'd be really grateful...

Yesterday:
B - coffee with cream,
L- two boiled eggs, mayo, asparagus.
D - cod, pan fried in butter and garlic, green salad, Asparagus. Broccoli roasted in oil. Mayo.
3 litres of water minimum, tea with almond milk.

Today-
B- coffee with cream.
L - two boiled eggs, prawns, green salad, mayo,
D - asparagus soup from morrisons ..about 8 g of carbs. Small piece of cheddar cheese.
More than 3 litres of water.
Two coffees with cream

I'll start measuring myself and see if I'm losing it that way, rather than the scales.

explodingkittens · 31/05/2017 21:54

I've just (this week) discovered almond milk, which I now have in tea. I bought the unroasted unsweetened stuff which is no-carb, and then today bought the roasted stuff to try, which I think has a nicer taste...however just realised its not the unsweetened version.

It's only 3g carbs per 100g but even so I want something carb-free for putting in tea, so tomorrow will buy the unsweetened roasted one and try that too!

Am quite excited about the idea of a carb-free iced latte as well...
