I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

Mine is the jml one- evidently only used once, but it did the job. (It was only £3 to be fair)

AdalindSchade · 30/05/2017 19:30

Beans and pulses are not bootcamp. Chick peas are 16g per 100g. I'm not sure if they are allowed on bootcamp lite.

HemanOrSheRa · 30/05/2017 19:45

Is it really Cooking? My courgetti looked nothing like yours. It must be user error! I did get quite angry and frustrated with the stupid thing. Maybe it sensed it Grin.

I was looking at the Lakeland ones ilove. I may treat myself Smile.

RubyGoat · 30/05/2017 19:50

Breakfast: mushroom omelette with butter & fresh herbs.
Lunch: went out for the day, chose chicken & bacon salad, left the tomatoes & sweetcorn.
Dinner: leftover curry (chicken, cauliflower) with salad. Not ideal but we'd been out all day & I don't have a fully functional kitchen at present... it has a broken (brand new) washing machine standing in the middle of it, & very little room for anything else. Sad

StuntNun - Yes I was told basically to eat anything to get the calories in. My doctor was no help as I was (barely) an acceptable BMI.

Asmoto · 30/05/2017 20:03

cherries Thank you - I will check it out. My stomach muscles have just about recovered after abdominal surgery six months ago so I am keen to get them back and functioning once more.

secretsignal · 30/05/2017 20:05

B: Halloumi and olives
L: Green salad with bacon and avocado. Large handful of crisps
D: Pan fried salmon with broccoli, marscapone and Parmesan

2l water so far, will try to get to 3. 3 teas with soya milk, 1 creamy coffee

alim733 · 30/05/2017 20:11

Wow how are you ladies losing all this weight ?? I just joined this thread....

ilovecherries · 30/05/2017 20:16

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that there is no meal which isn't improved by a splash of double cream and a knob of butter. Keep expecting BWIW to pop up and say 'right, you were only allowed that for two weeks. Now you need to eat sad, miserable, undressed food for the rest of BC'.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 30/05/2017 20:19

Cream saves many meals. Full fat mascarpone is also a good standby for sauces. Yum!

secretsignal · 30/05/2017 20:29

Have been enjoying the food pics, so here's mine

Definitely not so hungry in the morning and no cravings between meals. Creamy and coconut oil coffee for breakfast, quorn veg curry and spinach, ha!loumi, asparagus and roasted veg. Fair bit of water but still struggling to make target. Can feel it all sloshing about.

Secretsiren... My !ovely Dad had Parkinson's for fifteen years . If you have any questions you think I could helo with please ask.

L238 · 30/05/2017 20:42

My spiraliser is one of those that look like a giant pencil sharpener - similar to the second link in ilove's post. Cost about £6. Does the job - don't have much space for gadgets in my broom cupboard of a kitchen. Agree though that you might not want to do more than 2 people's worth with one of those!
You've all inspired me to get it out and have some courgetti tonight. Except I'm really not hungry. Had a slice of leftover pork belly on getting in from work and can't seem to face much more Hmm

thenightsky · 30/05/2017 20:45

B - creamy coffee and a teaspoon of peanut butter.
L - Smoked salmon and eggs scrambled in butter and cream.
D - 1 quorn gammon steak fried in butter with side of broccoli and cauliflower drizzled with butter.

S - 3 brazil nuts and a slice of ice cold butter with a drizzle of marmite on.

2l of tesco fizzy water

readyforno2 · 30/05/2017 20:46

Today has been much better than yesterday.

B - smoked salmon with a tiny bit salad.
L - scrambled eggs (without mushrooms because I stupidly left them at home)
D - cabbage fried in butter with crispy bacon and double cream

Probably 2.5l water but I'm really thirsty, so it'll probably work out a lot more than that.

thenightsky · 30/05/2017 20:46

alim733 Welcome. It's all about the butter Wink

explodingkittens · 30/05/2017 20:49

Lovely dinner of tuna steak with asparagus, all drenched in butter and with a good blob of bearnaise sauce. Then a small tub of Greek yoghurt with a glug of extra thick double cream stirred in. Bliss.

This is a diet, right?! Grin

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 30/05/2017 20:51

B - microwave scrambled eggs with chopped pepperami (actually really nice!)
L - chicken salad & mayo with parmesan crisps sprinkled on
D - random collection of stuff as need to go shopping - bag of mr Porky pork scratchings, some cheddar cheese, cucumber, boiled egg

Bibs2014 · 30/05/2017 20:54

Hey everyone

I've been awol but reading. Been to my MIL's for the past 4 days. Very hard to stick to low carb - she gets really really funny about food if you don't eat what she's cooked. I'd say I was on it 50% of the time - even took my gym kit and went for a 4K run!

Back on it 100% from tomorrow. Just cooking up some sausages for breakfast and have booked a big shop to come as we have nothing in! Lunch will be chicken and salad. Dinner is lamb steaks and green beans.

BloodInMyCaffeineStream · 30/05/2017 20:57

I've descended into carb twatdom Sad
Tea tonight has been 70g pecans, half a large chicken vindaloo and a poppadum.
It's not hideous, and i think I'm only up to 30-40 g of carb as the curry sauce seemed to be oil based, but still. I wanted to do this properly.
Annoyed. It's being overtired and busy that makes me think i can't possibly forage out a tea, and then takeaway seems the best option

glenthebattleostrich · 30/05/2017 21:02

A really good day today, I'm feeling pleased.

Ate really well, really enjoying the food, this is my dinner, salmon roasted in butter with a garlic prawn, mushroom and cream sauce. It was bloody lovely. Not enough veg so I've had a dressed side salad with it.

I'm at 18,300 steps today. Includes a huge walk around a park with the kids and a run. I just seem to have so much energy, it's brilliant.

Oh and was another pound down this morning too as well as fitting into jeans :)

Week 2 - Pre-summer low carb bootcamp
secretsignal · 30/05/2017 21:07

Forgot to tell the chef (DH) to make mine pea-less, only realised when I started to eat it. Sometimes the day just feels like it's conspiring against you Confused. Oh well. KOKO, tomorrow will be better Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 30/05/2017 21:11

Does anyone else's DP/DH struggle to grasp what we can and can't eat? If I've explained it once....... My DP is very supportive but struggles to understand what carbs are! 'Can you have potatoes? What? Not even roast potatoes? Well, can you eat pasta then?' Confused.

I didn't have a proper breakfast today as I was sleeping after finishing work at 7am. So food for today:

Late morning/early pm iced coffee with almond milk and a splash of double cream.

Lunch: at 3pm. 4 leftover buffalo chicken wings, blue cheese dip, small salad.

Dinner: Jerk chicken, HM guacamole, salad and a dollop of FF greek yogurt to cool things down. It was a SPICY dinner tonightSmile.

1 mug of tea with almond milk. Definitely 3l of water. Plus 2 large glasses.

nekobus · 30/05/2017 21:12

Get back on it blood! Doesn't sound too bad and you haven't gone totally off plan.

OK day for me, really wasn't hungry at breakfast and was out from 8-1 so took some ff total with cream, flax meal and vanilla in a pot and 2 babybels and had them late morning.

I want to weigh again but worried I'll be disappointed so going to try and stay off the scales until next Monday.

Prawns and cream glen what's not to like!

Today:
B - ff yog, cream, vanilla powder, flax. Tea with soya milk
L - salady bits - lettuce, mayo, chorizo, chicken, olives, cheese in lots of dressing
D - LC sausages, cauli, brocs in butter
S - 2 babybel, 1 creamy coffee
Water / tea etc. at least 3L

OldBooks · 30/05/2017 21:13

B: greek yogurt with flaxseed
L: tofu and avocado
T: cauliflower cheese with roasted courgette, aubergine and green pepper
S: tried my egg muffins (egg, cream, cheese, leeks, spinach)

6 pints water, 3 pints herbal tea

Feel really full after tea tonight. Usually can eat and eat, so having less appetite is strange, I am not used to it and tend to ignore my body's signals that I am full.

Interesting how many of us are emotional eaters. Flowers to those with bad news or who aren't feeling well

nekobus · 30/05/2017 21:17

My DH frowned at me wanting the pan juices / fat from sausages poured on my plate 'but it's just fat!' he said. Otherwise he's ok but when I did LCHF a year ago he put on weight as he was having same as me plus carbs. Now I tend to add fat at the table for me.

Flowers so many of you having some serious shit to contend with. I feel a bit selfish moaning about my broken leg.
