I don't think that BIWI has managed to post a new thread so I'll do this one.

I don't have the wise words of BIWI so I'll just say that by now you should be more in the swing of lcing so just keep it up and remember, only 1 week until bclite.

Hopefully you all have a successful weigh-in but if not, don't be disheartened. Post for some help and we will do our best.

secretsignal - I definitely have emotional eating patterns too, I think identifying it is half the battle sometimes. Getting straight back on it, as you have, always helps my mindset.

Flowers for you and your relative.

styledilemma · 30/05/2017 17:13

I feel quite sicky today. I threw up my eggs this morning and I jut feel like the fat is sitting in my stomach

adilinde I felt like that on Satudary. We were on a long car journey and for snacks I was eating M & S pork scratching crisps, peperamis and babybels.
Three hours in I felt as sick as a dog.
In hindsight, I've learnt to always have some salad/veg with every meal, even with snacks. It helps balance out the grease in my stomach.
Today we went on another long car journey and I made myself up a lunch box of cubes of chees mixed with , cucumber, tomato and celery. I felt much better after eating that combination.
Not such a greasy sloshfest.

nekobus · 30/05/2017 17:14

Heman the flax bread makes a really small loaf (it doesn't rise much) so there's not much to a slice. It does last a long time in the fridge and is v filling so you'd be hard pressed to over eat it.

Cookingongas · 30/05/2017 17:23

Sorry to be dense- are all lettuce types allowed? Rocket, lambs leaf, chicory, etc? The spreadsheet covers lettuce and spinach but no other leaves, so I wanted to check - determined to get this right-

JiminnyCricket · 30/05/2017 17:27

Yep, all leafy green veggies are fine :)

Struggling with food guilt today after eating dominos chicken wings last night. Argh. I'm back on the straight and narrow but eating them Is still worrying me. Feel like I've fucked up a whole week Hmm

Anyone else struggle massively with this?

secretsignal · 30/05/2017 17:28

FlowersCaptain. Have caught up with thread while making tea, hope my earlier comment wasn't insensitive. Parkinson's is the monster in our family, it's tough. Flowers to anyone coping with ill health. Am determined to break the link with eating, it won't help anything.

Thanks timeforheros (love that album Smile)

CodLiverOil556 · 30/05/2017 17:31

Hi everyone, is the half a roast chicken sound ok?

Week 2 - Pre-summer low carb bootcamp
CodLiverOil556 · 30/05/2017 17:32

Minus the skinny fries obviously Shock

styledilemma · 30/05/2017 17:35

B - Fried egg and half an avocado
L - salmon, cucumber, celery, tomato salsa.
D - 2 90% meat sausages, carrots and brocolli.

Are cooked carrots alright, in moderation? Confused We were running low on veg and I didn't want to use peas.

Later on, as a treat ,I will have one of my almond milk and cream ice lollies.

explodingkittens · 30/05/2017 17:43

Looks fine, kermit - or any of the burgers without the bun?

Veryflummoxed · 30/05/2017 17:47

Looks lovely ready. Do you have a recipe?
Don't beat yourself up Jim it's done. Drink loads of water and get back on it. You've got nearly a week to go before weigh in.

I had

B ff yogurt
L last of my yummy egg muffins. Dressed leaves and olives
D pork chop cooked in the oven and mushrooms cooked in the meat juice. Cauliflower cheese, cabbage fried with bacon.

My water is on target. (I was a bit down yesterday).

Lots of people struggling with some difficult issues and staying on track or having a blip and getting straight back on. Well done and 💐I am another emotional eater and it would take a lot less than I'm reading here to set me off. I am trying though.

GetReady · 30/05/2017 17:58

Mince, shallots, Red onion, mushroom, red cabbage, tin plum tomatoes.

Spices - I throw everything in! Parsley, chilli, pink salt, pepper, garlic pepper, parprika, more chilli...

Add oil, fry up, summer, enjoy!! (Add cheese and mayo!)

Cookingongas · 30/05/2017 18:05

Great- first day down.

Breakfast- creamy coffee
Lunch- omelette- three egg, mushroom and bacon
Tea- Courgette spaghetti carbonara
Snack- many olives

Probably not enough water at 1.5l but I had no toilet through the day so couldn't risk drinking more. I'll catch up this evening

C4pinkwheels · 30/05/2017 18:14

Captain - consider your hand as being firmly held Flowers

Today I have a fever - urine is testing positive for blood and bacteria, currently being analysed at the lab and no doubt the antibiotics will start tomorrow Sad

Food today

B: celery and cream cheese
L: bacon & avocado salad
D: steak and asparagus

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 30/05/2017 18:15

Missed the Start as was away on Holiday, which was a wonderful gain of 18lb from last boot camp. Blame the Beer, flying and generally not having access to the stir-fry pan.

Saturday Night weighed in - straight of the plane - 229.9lb
Today weighed only 222.4lb. So definitely been unloading some baggage with drinking low-carb Water.

I put in the Weight from the 22nd on the Spreadsheet as my start and Saturday night for this week.

See you all again soon
Remember its Day 1 of 62 today and Day 1 of 61 tomorrow, and no one cheats on day 1 if the diet. :) .

Breakfast 2 egg omelet - Back bacon
Lunch Bullet proof coffee
Supper 4 cups LC Veg 8oz chicken with some spices and chicken stock

Asmoto · 30/05/2017 18:32

I had a pleasant moment today. I was feeling disappointed because although I have lost weight, I don't seem to be making any progress on my trying-to-fasten-a-too-small-skirt test. My waist (if you can call it one) doesn't seem to have shrunk at all.

However, when I was undressing I noticed that I had unwittingly been wearing a bra that's a cup and back size smaller than normal all day! I was tidying my bras at the weekend, and must have accidentally put an old one in with the current ones (I have lots of old but little-worn bras that I hope to get back into eventually). I'm really pleased because I have a very top heavy figure with a huge 'matronly' bust!

So very pleased that some of my 6lb loss has come off my norks!

If anyone has any waist-reducing exercise tips to share I would be grateful though Grin.

AdalindSchade · 30/05/2017 18:38

Cauliflower pizza for dinner. The base needed more cooking but I was hungry so I ate it. Nice!

HemanOrSheRa · 30/05/2017 18:58

Thanks nekobus!

ilovecherries · 30/05/2017 18:59

Breakfast : full fat yoghurt. I'm feeling less and less hungry at breakfast as time goes on though.
Lunch: fried hallumi, mixed lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes and half a dozen olives, all dressed with olive oil
Dinner: fried salmon with a lemon, cream and parsley sauce, served on cauliflower rice with fresh coriander and buttered long stem broccoli.
Water: 2L so far, but I always drink another litre in the evening
No snacks.

Cookingongas · 30/05/2017 19:01

Courgette spaghetti is a revelation! No wonder everyone is buying the spiralizers!

I added in mushrooms to my carbonara because (stupidly) I felt there wasn't enough veg in the sauce, forgetting that the spaghetti itself was veg!

Week 2 - Pre-summer low carb bootcamp
HemanOrSheRa · 30/05/2017 19:04

Ooh. I was going to ask what spiralizers people are using? I have a JML one which I bought ages ago and used once. It's complete pants!

Yorkshirebornandbred · 30/05/2017 19:15

Can't keep up with the thread!

Today I had 2 scrambled eggs with 3 skies of salami fried and mixed in.

Lunch was out and about, just 3 slices of salami with cheese and some celery with mayonnaise.

Dinner was lovely, minted lamb shoulder steaks from Aldi with leeks braised in butter and cauliflower and broccoli in cream and melted grated cheddar.

YoLoZammo · 30/05/2017 19:17

Where do LC rules stand on beans and pulses? I usually add a tin of chickpeas or butterbeans to curries and casseroles to bulk them out, and give texture. The tins I have in my cupboard have no info on as they are imported. Do I use or donate to the food bank?

ilovecherries · 30/05/2017 19:26

I have this one, Heman www.lakeland.co.uk/70884/Lakeland-Easy-Store-Spiralizer. It's been fine, relatively easy to clean, and I've used it lots. I all have this mini one, which DD uses if she's cooking for herself, as she hates washing the big one. It also seems efficient but I wouldn't try to do a family meal with it. www.amazon.co.uk/Newest-Improved-Spiralizer-Spiral-Complete/dp/B00NEAO4S2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1496168680&sr=8-3&keywords=hand+held+spiralizer&tag=mumsnetforum-21

Naschkatze · 30/05/2017 19:27

Dinner of salmon fish fingers and celeriac chips was pretty good! Can recommend using ground almonds in place of breadcrumbs.

Asmoto Re waist reducing exercise- Powerhoop! So much fun and I lost 3 inches from my waist in about 4 months. Will be taking it back up as soon as stomach muscles have healed from pregnancy.
