Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Have a great holiday BIWI Smile

Thanks for the tip about chicken parfait neko, I'll look out for it on Monday when I shop.

In the meantime I've been to the local tesco and bought low carb sausages which I've cooked to eat as snacks and also bought salami and chorizo.

I'll not buy cream or cheese for a bit as I can't be trusted with it!

nekobus · 25/05/2017 16:39

Oh no moist! (Was it worth it though?) Grin

My recipe for exploded babybel - take one six-bun silicone muffin tray. Divide 2 babybels into 3 pieces each. Put in muffin tin and zap in micro for 2 minutes! Nice and crispy and good for dipping!!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 25/05/2017 16:51

nekobus - that sounds amazing - will have to try that!

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 16:59

Ooof. I am hot. And not in a good way Confused. Please, please tell me Alpro Unsweetened Roasted Almond milk is OK?! I bought DS some ice lollies on the way home from work and I can't have one Sad. I was so desperately hot and miserable that I bought some almond milk and have made myself an iced coffee. I whizzed the milk with a spoonful of instant and ice cubes in the nutribullet. It is lovely and has hit the spot.

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 25/05/2017 17:04

Heman - I hope it is, I've been having gallons of it in the massive amount of tea I drink everyday.

Have a nice time BIWI!

I'm so glad to hear its not just me who can't be trusted with some foods, its something I always feel really shit about.

Was in town before and tried the chorizo crisps. I was disappointed by the lack of crunch! The smoky bacon strips are amazing though.

SayrraT · 25/05/2017 17:06

Almond milk fine (as long as it's the unsweetened one).

A good food day here but i'm floored by fatigue (have M.E not carb flu) so it's been a tough day. V proud of myself getting through it.

At mid morning i suddenly went 'have i even had a shower today?' I literally have no memory of it but worked out I must have done. But completely forgot about the cold shower thing!! How do you even forget if you've had a shower or not? I still can't remember it!

So oops! Try again tomorrow when hopefully i'll be less shattered. Well done if you had one.

I hate coconut bread. Always far too eggy. If you're being strict, don't fantasize about it too much. It will most likely be a let down Wink

dustmotesinthesun · 25/05/2017 17:09

Exploded babybel sounds so good by the way. Must try sometime.

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 17:15

Thank gawd for that! Thank you Scooby and Sayrra Smile. Iced coffee with milk is a new favourite for me. I've never tried a nut milk before. It's very nice!

StuntNun · 25/05/2017 17:23

My Fathead Pizza was a moderate success. It would have been better with shop-bought ground almonds though. My Magimix couldn't get the almonds finely ground so the base was a little crunchy. I only ate half (it's really filling because the base is made from cheese, almonds and egg) so 5g carbs in total. Definitely one for everyone to try when we're all on to Bootcamp Light.

Oo, more things for me to try on BC lite StuntNun Grin

Can someone help me out. I was looking at guacamole and sour cream dips earlier but didn't buy them as they were 4-6g carb per 100g. Is that too high?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 25/05/2017 17:29

Just checking in to say I'm doing fine today and am on track. Was exceedingly smug at pub lunch this afternoon by ordering the double cheeseburger, chips, and salad but actually ordering double salad, no chips, and de-bunning the burger. Grin

For those who can't bear water, try other things in it for flavour. The obvious lemon, lime, mint...but my absolute favourite is sliced cucumber. After it has steeped in a large jug, I pour from it all day. Exceptionally refreshing, especially in this heat.

Mediterranean pork tonight, with salad, asparagus, or both. Hmmm...

ClearEyesFullHearts · 25/05/2017 17:30

Am also one who's very tired, but that might have more to do with staying up until stupid o'clock (2.00 am) watching The Omen than with carb flu.

feekerry · 25/05/2017 17:54

TheWayOfTheWorld I love guacamole. The Asda one is only 3g per 100g and that's normally over half the pot which is loads so I tend to have a table spoon or 2 which is prob about 40g

explodingkittens · 25/05/2017 17:58

I'm having some non- low carb friends round for dinner tomorrow night and am wondering what to cook them. I thought as it was sunny and warm I'd do:

Roasted chicken thighs with lemon, rosemary and garlic
Fennel and cucumber salad
Halloumi, avocado, tomato and watercress salad
Spiralized courgette and carrot salad with lots of olive oil

Do I then do some baby new potatoes or some rice as well? It's fine for me but does it seem a bit sparse for carb- eaters otherwise?

For pud I was thinking of a chocolate and fig tart (from the Hemsley & Hemsley cookbook so v low in sugar) and probably some strawberries and thick double cream for me?

I know strawberries aren't Bootcamp but I have been LCHF-ing for a good while now...

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 18:15

Oooh. That sounds delicious kittens. I'd do a carb for the carb eaters. They may feel hard done by Grin.

DP has just phoned. He is a delivery driver and installer for John Lewis. He is working in the area and is coming home for his break. Asked me if I wanted KFC . If I've explained it once......

GetReady · 25/05/2017 18:19

My veggetti bolognese!

Week 1 - Pre-Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - Off we go!
GetReady · 25/05/2017 18:21

The pizza looks awesome!

Naschkatze · 25/05/2017 18:23

Getting serious food envy here!

Getready that looks delicious, I was planning something similar for the weekend. What veg did you use?

GetReady · 25/05/2017 18:27

Courgettes for the veggetti and just peppers, shallots, mushrooms and tinned plum tomatoes 😀

Asmoto · 25/05/2017 18:28

Breakfast - yoghurt
lunch - cottage cheese with chives and spring onions
dinner - salmon mashed with mayonnaise and cream, with loads of watercress.

My DH, who, left to his own devices, normally buys easily-resistible white sliced bread, took it into his head to buy a lovely big bloomer loaf today Angry. It's sitting in the kitchen tempting me Sad.

Duckiesprettycrazy · 25/05/2017 18:34

Am I too late to join? If not I'll add myself to the sheet.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 25/05/2017 18:45

How many carbs are in almond milk? I love the thought of iced coffee Smile

Veryflummoxed · 25/05/2017 18:58

No you are not too late Duckie.
B ff total Greek yogurt
Lunch leftover beef and veg stir fry
Dinner leftover bolognaise sauce with veg and cheese.
All my water black tea and mint tea.

Those food pictures look good.
