nekobus I'm yet to perfect my coconut coffee recipe, but at the moment I'm using this stuff and coconut oil: www.alpro.com/uk/products/cream-variation/coconut-cuisine?gclid=CjwKEAjw3pTJBRChgZ3e7s_YhAkSJAASG9VrpHTnw1vt5JUZ33K6Dp-yVFfOC04lwCqqlWPQ3bvtZhoCK2jw_wcB#productrange
Next week I plan to try the tinned kind of full fat coconut milk and the week after that I'm going to try the blocks of coconut cream.
At the moment I put 50ml in a mug, add my teaspoon of solid coconut oil and microwave for 15 seconds. Then mix it a lot with a teaspoon before adding the coffee. It does get a few oily globs in it if you let it sit but it's fine to drink and tastes pretty good :)
In terms of dairy: I experimented with giving it up last week for the first time since starting 15 weeks ago. I've been losing 1-2lbs a week but recently I'd stopped losing consistantly and had started losing and gaining the same 2 lbs and kept seeing the same bloody number on the scales (damn you, 16st 11lbs!!). I gave up dairy on Monday 15th, weighed in on Monday 22nd and dropped 8lbs in a week
I'm calling this a fluke at the moment and I refuse to believe it makes that much of a difference for me until I've seen the same thing happen over a few weeks. I'm not expecting a loss at all this week after my mammoth 8lb drop last week, in fact I fully expect to gain a bit of it back, so I'll stay off dairy for the month of June and if by the end of June I'm showing more significant losses than in April, I'll call it proven
I'm not going completely dairy free, I'm allowing for some soft cheese at the weekend and a small amount of mozzerella today and tomorrow on my lunches. For context, before I was having a creamy coffee every morning and cheese 3 or 4 times a week so the reduction is significant.
I'm going for less dairy rather than no dairy :)
MyShinyThing I lost 8lbs my first week and carrie don losing 3 or 4 lbs a week for the first 4 weeks or so. I was 18st 5lbs though! After that initial zippy phase, I then stalled pretty much for 5 weeks and my rate of weight loss dropped to an average of 1.5lbs a week. I complained like a trooper on the last BC thread about it!
.. however, 15 weeks in I just had another whoosh which takes me to 30lbs lost in 15 weeks, or exactly 2lbs a week :) My point is, ignore the super whizzy losses at first, they mean nothing and the likelihood is it will eventually stall and average itself out to what you're losing now. If anything, you body is just more sensible!
