Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

I've added myself at the bottom with a start date of today and a weight of 155.

Hope that is okay and its worked.

Unhairymaclary · 22/05/2017 11:36

Morning all! This is my first time doing bootcamp so feeling excited to see some results. Weighed in at 157lbs and would like to lose 28lbs before I go away in August. Hopefully these next few weeks will give me a good start to achieving that.

Food today:

B - Greek yoghurt
S - small piece of cheese
L- boiled eggs, salad and mayo
D - bacon and mozzarella stuffed mushrooms with salad.

Probably won't get a chance to record on here every day but will check in when I can. Great to read all your posts for inspiration and support. Good luck everyone!

swlondonnanny · 22/05/2017 11:36

Morning everyone
I don't seem to be able to add my weight to the spreadsheet, could you please do it for me? 267.3lbs
Have been lowcarbing since mid March, lost 38lbs, hope it will continue.
I am quite tall (5'11) and have loads to lose still...

thenightsky · 22/05/2017 11:37

Veryflummoxed What a good idea, posting pics of the ever loosening shirt! I wish I'd done that last bootcamp with a pair of lovely grey work trousers that fit great now.

derxa · 22/05/2017 12:03

DONE

ChesterDrawers · 22/05/2017 12:21

I'm going to dig out one of my many 'too tight' items later and take a photo - great idea Flummoxed and Jiminny I get a bit scales obsessed so not sure how often I will weigh in. This could be a good alternative.

Didn't have the chance to eat breakfast as I ended up going straight into meetings when I got to work earlier so have just had my scrambled eggs for lunch. Also coming to the end of my second litre of water - so far, so good.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 22/05/2017 12:30

I've weighed and added it to the spreadsheet.

I've been to Aldi and stocked up with meat veg and cheese. Now I'm going to work out how much water fits in my glass so I know how many glasses to drink. Smile

Breakfast was half an avocado because I was in a rush. I think for lunch I'll have bacon and eggs fried in butter with mushrooms.

Unhairymaclary · 22/05/2017 12:38

Just realised i put 157lbs when it should have been 159! Have put the correct weight on the spreadsheet.

glenthebattleostrich · 22/05/2017 12:43

Ooh Unhairy, we have the same target.

Jim, can I come live at your house please, just for the bootcamp. I can bring lots of pork scratchings and cucumber.

I'm going to take a photo and dig out my skinny pants as my target for this bootcamp, thanks for the idea. It's a bit more inspiring than looking at dry numbers in my diary.

Tweasels · 22/05/2017 12:48

Hello lovelies.

I'm old hat at LCing and (every other diet under the sun) but after a break over the winter, weight was starting to creep on. Started 4 weeks ago and lost 8lb then 2lb and then stayed the same last two weeks. Could just be notorious week 3/4 or more likely the fact that I've been guzzling nuts and drinking prosecco.

Needed some focus so here I am.

B - hard boiled eggs with spinach and mayo
L - chicken breast cooked in garlic butter with salad
D - Cod with brocolli and Cauliflower with cheese and mayo

marioncole · 22/05/2017 12:59

Afternoon all.

Looking forward to this Smile

I've been low-carbing for about a month and it really works. I've lost 12lbs in 5 weeks which is phenomenal for me. That even includes a week where I strayed but I got back on the wagon and within a few days I had lost what I had put on.

I promise that I won't weigh myself too often though, it does mess with your head.

Food's a bit limited today because we're going on holiday on Thursday so I'm running the fridge down. Eggs for breakfast (scrambled in lots of butter), I've had a cheese slice for a snack, think I might head to the Co-op now to buy a salad. Tea will likely be something chickeny with some broccoli. I love that I can have a whopping steak and buttery veg.

Good luck everyone!

mummymacphee · 22/05/2017 13:02

Hi everyone!

I have lost 2 stones in the past with a low carb way of eating but have managed to put those (and more) back on. Need to refocus and stick at it for more than a couple of days at a time so hoping the support here will help.

Breakfast was greek yoghurt.
Lunch was tuna mayo and salad.
Dinner is going to be roast chicken and cauliflower cheese.

On my third refill of my water bottle so increasing my exercise by going to the loo every 20 minutes!

JiminnyCricket · 22/05/2017 13:05

glenthebattleostrich I'll put the kettle on and make up the spare bed Grin

explodingkittens · 22/05/2017 13:06

So far so good, two babybels for 'breakfast' and have just had a lovely Greek salad from the hospital M&S. The nurse brought me a cup of tea but unfortunately it had sugar in it (haven't drunk sugary tea for 20 years!) so am sticking to the water.

Hopefully dp will be discharged this pm and I intend to roast us some chicken thighs with a ton of buttery veg for dinner.

Couldn't find those chorizo crisp thingies though - are they in the crisp aisle in m&s or somewhere else?

MOIST · 22/05/2017 13:06

Oh sweet lord.
Thought I'd dig out last years holiday shorts. Thought they might be a bit smug but they don't even come close to zipping up. Shock

I have 5 weeks til this years holiday.

imustbepatient · 22/05/2017 13:08

Great to read all your posts and see the amazing photos, everyone’s enthusiasm is so contagious it’s making me feel really excited about getting underway.

I’ve done a few BC’s before (not always finishing…) and eat LC as a general rule, but I need a kick to push me past this current weight / size that I always get stuck at. Plus constant weighing / food tracking / keto macro obsessing etc was getting me down and being counter-productive, so I’m really looking forward to the BC system again. It feels really freeing.

I’m definitely going to steal the brilliant ideas up-thread about weekly photos wearing (currently) too-tight clothing! Genius. I weighed and took loads of measurements yesterday but won’t do it again until the end of BC, so having the weekly photos will be a good progress guide and help keep me on track.

As ever, my main problem with sticking to BC is wine. The food isn’t really ever a problem as I love LC foods and cooking, and I don’t have a sweet tooth, it’s just my love of a glass of wine or three on weekend days. I’m going to really focus on that, by having nice substitutes all planned out and ready. And when I do indulge a bit later on it will be one small medium glass of red or a white wine spritzer with 20% wine and 80% soda water!

Food today is / will be:

B: Greek yoghurt and black coffee (but like a few others have posted, I do 16:8 and really don’t feel hungry most mornings, so I will drop breakfast once I feel I’m underway with BC and no hunger issues)
L: from M&S; a side salad with mozzarella and tomatoes which I added some prawns to (and ditched the balsamic dressing it came with), with some mayo and some cheese sticks wrapped in Serrano ham
D: cauli egg fried “rice” with bacon, mushrooms and whatever other LC vege are lurking in the fridge

I’m so glad to be back on another BC, thanks BIWI and everyone for all your efforts and time in running this.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 22/05/2017 13:09

Can I ask a silly question? When you make the egg muffins do you make them in muffin cases? The paper ones? I've tried to make something similar in the past for dd and they all stuck without paper cases. Maybe i need a new muffin tin Blush

MOIST · 22/05/2017 13:10

Sob Sad

Yorkshirebornandbred · 22/05/2017 13:12

So far:
Breakfast was half an avocado (in a hurry)
Lunch was 2 rashers thick cut bacon, 2 low carb sausages (97% meat), a fried egg and 4 fried mushrooms , all fried in butter. With a black decaf coffee.

Dinner will be roasted belly pork with asparagus in butter I think.

ShastaBeast · 22/05/2017 13:15

The chorizo and pork crisps are in the fridge with the mezze/picnic type food.

Salad, Brie and avocado for lunch.

imustbepatient · 22/05/2017 13:17

Don't worry MOIST, you will be zipping them up in no time. It's the before photo - just think how great you will feel when you take the after one, you'll be so proud of yourself.

runningtogetskinny · 22/05/2017 13:25

For those of you using mfp, what do you set your carbs/fats/protein goals at? How many grams for each?

explodingkittens · 22/05/2017 13:31

Thanks shasta, will investigate!

PlymouthMaid1 · 22/05/2017 13:34

Hi all, inspiring stuff going on here. My biggest problem is trying to eat low carb around Oh's habits as he is carb king. Planned spanish omelette tonight but there will be a battle over the inclusion of potato (can always pick it out I guess.

Anyway - so far today yogurt, coffee x 2, cup of tea, 2 glasses of water and tuna mayo salad with a slice of edam. Have already but right back on carbs for last two days with the only 'real bad' carbs being a bit of pasta in lasagne and do feel less around the middle (bloating?) in just those 2 days. I have a feeling that I will slip up more than some of you but I am sure there will still be a measurable and noticeable effect as cutting carbs seems the only woe which has a positive effect for me.

Anyway thanks BIWI and others for all the hard work. I wont post every day but I will be reading - when something major happens you guys will be first to know.

HemanOrSheRa · 22/05/2017 13:34

The Chorizo crisps are AMAZING! I've eaten a packet Blush. But I did share with a colleague (just a couple). A bought the salami and pork scratching crisp's too.

York I use silicon muffin cases for egg muffins. Or you could line your tins with squares of baking parchment? I do also make it in a cake tin lined with parchment and cut it up.

I have a question - if I wanted to get ready prepped/marinated meat, say from the BBQ range at M&S, is this OK? What carb content are we looking for? Less than 4g/100g? They have some lovely looking chicken kebabs of various types and something called Pesto and parmesan chicken 'flatties' which were all around 2g/100g or lower (I think). So were the Aberdeen Angus burgers.
