Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Here's a reminder of Bootcamp rules - please, please, please go to the Spreadsheet (tabs at the bottom) to read the full explanation behind each of these!

It;s vital that you follow these rules, other you really won't lose weight.

The rules have been developed to be as simple as possible. Bootcamp isn't easy, but it is easy to follow.

  1. Eat three proper meals a day.
  1. Avoid processed foods.
  1. Eat lots of fat.
  1. Make sure you are eating vegetables and salads with your food.
This is where your carbs should come from, and this is non-negotiable.
  1. Be careful about dairy (apart from butter, which is unlimited).
  1. You must drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day.
  1. No alcohol.
  1. No fruit.
  1. No nuts/seeds.
  1. No sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Sunborn I have added you.
GetReady It would be chaos to start a new thread every day. The thread will slow down by weeks 2 and 3 Smile

Copperas - done

lovelycuppateas · 23/05/2017 20:33

So today I had
b - 2 boiled eggs squished w mayo and cress, coffee with cream
l - salad with bacon lardons, baby bel
d - roast chicken with another salad, and a spoonful of cream cheese as a (rubbish) pudding.
Drank lots and lots of water - I'm actually finding that I'm thirstier than normal so this hasn't been hard. I'm not feeling hungry at all as I'm trying very hard to eat enough fat this time!

CodLiverOil556 · 23/05/2017 20:34

So have just finished my dinner and water consumption is 3.75 litres.

Please can someone critique my food today

B - FF Greek yoghurt with cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon (whoever mentioned that upthread is a genius)

L - mushroom omelette with salad and cucumber

D - homemade burgers with shallots and mushrooms fried in sunflower oil and lettuce leaves as a sort of bun

Had a couple of cups of herbal tea too

CodLiverOil556 · 23/05/2017 20:35

Forgot to add my macro from MFP

AdalindSchade · 23/05/2017 20:37

Wouldn't the mushrooms be nicer fried in olive oil or butter?

CodLiverOil556 · 23/05/2017 20:39

I don't like butter and not too keen on olive oil either

cabbage67 · 23/05/2017 20:42

Evening all

I'm new to this and have just one question at the moment, and that is fresh tomatoes? I'm not sure if I'm missing something but are they bad or good? It's just that they don't seem to feature in many peoples meals. i'd love them fried for breakfast or roasted but am not sure if I should

Thank you in advance

dustmotesinthesun · 23/05/2017 20:48

I love the idea of snacking on baby sloths JuniorMint. Sloths are totally low carb.

dustmotesinthesun · 23/05/2017 20:48

Cabbage tomatoes can be a bit carby. I still eat them, they're so good for you (especially eaten with olive oil). But just watch how much you're eating.

HemanOrSheRa · 23/05/2017 20:49

cabbage I believe they are higher carb than green leafy veg so you need to be careful. Last time I did BC I bought vine ripened tomatoes and had half with a salad or fried/roasted. It was one of the only things I weighed and generally came in at about 50g which I think is 2.3g carbs. I'm doing the same this timemail.

HemanOrSheRa · 23/05/2017 20:50

*time not timemail. Bloody phone keeps doing that Angry.

SummerSazz · 23/05/2017 20:54

Exercise and food ok today - 30 mins Jillian Michaels DVD and an hours walk before work.

B: none as On week 18 of LCHF woe and am combining with 16:8 fast
L: chicken (with skin on) and chorizo salad (leaves, mush, cuc, cherry toms) with grated cheese& mayo
S: 3 slices salami
D: salmon fillet with spinach and kale with Hollandaise sauce. Ff yoghurt with a splash of double cream stirred through.

Plenty of water (some fuzzy with lemon & look me juice squeezed in) and only 2 cups of tea Shock. This is amazballs for me as I'm a tea addict. Hoping as the weather improves i don't miss the warmth so much.

Cooked a belly pork & green pepper casserole tonight so that will be tomorrow's dinner with more kale and spinach.

Copperas · 23/05/2017 20:54

Wombattoo thanks for adding me

MaryThorne · 23/05/2017 21:17

Breakfast: fried egg x2, bacon x2, field mushroom, fried tomatoes x2, (all fried in butter and olive oil), coffee with double cream

Snack: Chorizo, coffee with double cream x2*

Lunch*: mussels in wine sauce, leafy salad with pine nuts and vinaigrette dressing and coffee with cream (Carluccios lunch date)

Dinner: roast chicken leg with skin, courgette chips fried in butter and olive oil, mayonnaise

I know the the pine nuts with lunch were a no-no Blush

ChesterDrawers · 23/05/2017 21:18

Bit of a cock up tonight, but not too disasterous.

DS had a football thing so I had no time for tea before we went and have only just got back now. He's in bed now and I CBA cooking so I've just made a Bullet proof coffee which I know isn't really classed as a BC approved meal. I did snack on some M&s chorizo crisps spread with Philly earlier but seeing BIWI wielding her stick at people for not eating enough veg has made me feel guilty.

Tomorrow I will be a model BC-er!

MaryThorne · 23/05/2017 21:19

Bold fail - that's what happens doing a copy and paste from the iPad

CaptainBraandPants · 23/05/2017 21:28

Had a lovely stuffed cabbage casserole for dinner tonight, it was lovely. One, of he many, meals I love on this woe.
I have also made a frittata with courgette, mushrooms, cheese and a bit of red pepper. I'll have it cold for lunch. I reckon it will last me 3 lunches unless DH nicks some.
I have found organisation is the key to keeping on track. I try and make extra, so I can freeze some. I have frozen half of the cabbage casserole I made tonight for another night. Tomorrow, I will be home late from work, so we are going to have cauliflower chicken alfredo from the freezer.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 23/05/2017 21:29

Hiya, can we have painkillers, seem to remember ibuprofen was a no no?

Food:

B: Scrambled eggs with chorizo
L: Smoked mackerel on a bed of spinach cooked in butter & garlic, was totally delish
D: Chicken drummers, rocket salad, mayo

Veryflummoxed · 23/05/2017 21:29

Adalind. I'm pretty sure nuts and seeds are allowed for veggies

Naschkatze. I'd say that's pretty average. And we all need different amounts.

Jim they look lovely.

Dawn, if you don't mind your weight on the thread, print it in bold with your name and Wombat will add it for you. She is very kind.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 23/05/2017 21:30

Oh yes, also ran 11.6 miles, go me.

OldBooks · 23/05/2017 21:30

Today started well (FF yog with flaxseed, halloumi left over from tea last night, courgetti salad with mozzarella) but went pear shaped this evening after train delays held me up for an hour and I fell into a Starbucks Blush

New day tomorrow to KOKO

cabbage67 · 23/05/2017 21:31

Thank you Dust and Heman

NigellasGuest · 23/05/2017 21:37

Hippa I had 2 nurofen plus last night because my head was so bad but I think they are a bit of a no-no - can't remember why exactly.

Had a headache again this afternoon but it seems to have gone now - hooray! I had slow cooked beef In a sauce made of courgettes with tinned tomatoes - didn't really eat very much of the tomato though I don't think.
