Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

I'm intrigued by that new Michael Moseley book rags. Does he suggest a different diet?

C4pinkwheels was recently there myself. Be kind to yourself. Flowers

boldlygoingsomewhere · 23/05/2017 18:38

B - ff Greek yoghurt with coconut chips
L - egg mayonnaise salad with spinach
D - sautéed mushrooms, spinach and haloumi

I need to cut down on the amount of cups of tea with milk I drink. I'm a bit of an addict. Blush

readyforno2 · 23/05/2017 18:42

I'm struggling to keep up with the thread!

Yesterday
B - ff yog
L - omelette with cheese
D - roast chicken with cabbage fried in butter (can we have cabbage?)

At least three litres of water

Today
B - yog
L - mushroom omelette
D - cauliflower pizza with bacon, cheese and shallots.
Same water as yesterday and 3x coffee with cream

I can't weigh at home cause my scales are broken but I'm going to the pt tomorrow night so I'll weigh there!

GetReady · 23/05/2017 18:54

I really think we should have a new thread every day!

AdalindSchade · 23/05/2017 19:03

I've been avoiding nuts because I can't stop with them but have included a sprinkle of seeds in my salads which aren't bootcamp. I think as a veggie you need to have something like that

Naschkatze · 23/05/2017 19:04

Starting to feel like I'm eating a hell of a lot more than everyone else. Blush
B - a spoon of yoghurt and a boiled egg (in a rush because I woke up feeling awful!)
Brunch - Fried egg, asparagus, fried tomato, piece of bacon
L - celery stick, cream cheese and a slice of ham
D - homemade burger, 1/2 avocado, courgette "chips" and salad.

I think I've cured the carb flu by eating... and eating. Will try to eat more of the good stuff in moderation tomorrow!

JiminnyCricket · 23/05/2017 19:07

My dehydrator chorizo experiement worked!

They are really crispy, still oily though so store in the fridge I reckon.

The thinly sliced stuff works better than the sausage, the stuff I cut myself has had to go back in for another 12 hours as it was still bendy rather than crisp.

ragz134 · 23/05/2017 19:11

Jim- those look lovely. I'll buy chorizo tomorrow and make some to take camping. My dehydrator is on loan so I will microwave mine.
Cherry - not a whole diet as such, though he does recommend med style with low sugar and no white carbs. More advising foods that help with gut microbiome, fermented foods and fibre stuff, resistant starch is mentioned.

CaptainBraandPants · 23/05/2017 19:13

Styledilemma
Maybe I should carry my own cream with me. Now that would be crazy Grin

I am a bit crazy Wink but I carry my cream in the sistema salad dressing pots. They hold about 30mls, which is perfect for a small to medium coffe. Alternatively, Costa have pouring cream.

AdalindSchade · 23/05/2017 19:14

B- 2 friend eggs in butter, coffee with cream
L- salad with 2 eggs, 1/4 pack feta, seeds, olive oil, olives , small bowl FF lidl yoghurt
D- cauldron veggie sausages (about 6g carbs), friend mushroom and grated courgette with cream cheese and garlic, boiled cauliflower and broccoli with butter. Another bowl of yoghurt.

ShastaBeast · 23/05/2017 19:16

B - Greek yoghurt and creamy coffee x 2
L - Salad, chorizo and crackling crisps, Brie and dressing
D - Leftover bolognese with veggies and cheese.

31g of carbs, 86g fat and 63g protein.

I thought I'd try some ketosticks for fun. Despite drinking loads, weeing all day and eating plenty I got this result (compared with DH to check it worked, he ate crap all day). I also took pics of an outfit which doesn't fit well so I compare it. I'm not brace enough to post.

It won't let me add my weight without downloading an app? I don't have space for another app Blush

NigellasGuest · 23/05/2017 19:30

Headache again - started at around 3pm like yesterday. However today I'm NOT going to resort to biscuits!

ilovecherries · 23/05/2017 19:39

Evening check in.

B: 2 egg omelette cooked with butter, mushrooms and asparagus, served with wilted spinach and garlic butter; coffee with cream
L: I really wasn't feeling great, forced down half a salted avocado and two paracetamol, then had a siesta!
D: salmon roasted in butter with a herb, garlic and Gouda crust, roasted spiced runner beans, and served with a courgette, brocilli and mushroom rosti
S: haven't had any today
Fluids: have got to 2.5 litres, should be 3.5 so will try to get more down this evening.

BIWI · 23/05/2017 19:39

@Sunborn

B: two hard boiled eggs
L: packet of chicken
D: natural yogurt

Where is your veg? Where is your salad?! You must eat those as well as protein. And you also need fat, which your day is pretty short of.

This isn't a no carb diet, it's a low carb diet - and it's one of the key rules of Bootcamp - I think I even say it's non-negotiable - that you have to get your carbs from veg or salad.

OP posts:
BIWI · 23/05/2017 19:41

@Asmoto

Breakfast - Longley Farm full fat plain yoghurt
Lunch - Longley Farm full fat cottage cheese with chives
Dinner - Creamed mushrooms with a hint of curry
Snack - Handful of grated cheddar cheese and half a slice of ham (proper ham, not processed).

And the same goes for you, Asmoto - where is your veg and salad? Mushrooms are very low in carbs - you need to eat much more veg than this.

please read Bootcamp rules properly!

Asmoto · 23/05/2017 19:45

I'll have some more spinach tomorrow, BIWI and hopefully some shallots.

BIWI · 23/05/2017 19:53

@Naschkatze

B - a spoon of yoghurt and a boiled egg (in a rush because I woke up feeling awful!)

This is perfect! (Assuming that the yoghurt was full fat?

Brunch - Fried egg, asparagus, fried tomato, piece of bacon

Again, also perfect!

L - celery stick, cream cheese and a slice of ham

Well, sort of perfect - just keep an eye on the amount of processed food - so far today you've had both bacon and ham

D - homemade burger, 1/2 avocado, courgette "chips" and salad.

Also absolutely perfect - assuming that you used plenty of fat?

Please don't worry about quantities at this stage - and also, don't focus on what other people are doing/eating - it's not a competition. At this stage, it's about making sure that you're not hungry, and that you're focusing on low carb/high fat foods, which it looks like you're doing really well.

Dinner was lovely - couldn't be bothered to cook after a long day at work. Leftover chicken drumsticks, avocado, olives, cheese, coleslaw and a slice of bacon swiped from dp's dinner. Plenty of mayo and I even got dp to drizzle the bacon fat from the grill over it too Grin

Could hardly finish it though...

Iwishicouldfly456 · 23/05/2017 19:55

Evening All. Cravings at me today will weather the storm. Feeling wiped out too.

B: FF Yoghurt
L: feta 2 boiled eggs leaves and hm coleslaw
D: pork chops mushrooms fried on butter. Broccoli finished off with butter

BIWI · 23/05/2017 19:56

@readyforno2

Yesterday
B - ff yog
L - omelette with cheese
D - roast chicken with cabbage fried in butter (can we have cabbage?)

^And you too! Where is your veg?! And you know that there's a list of veg carb counts, so you should know about cabbage. (Yes, you can have cabbage)

At least three litres of water

Fantastic

Today
B - yog
L - mushroom omelette
D - cauliflower pizza with bacon, cheese and shallots.
Same water as yesterday and 3x coffee with cream

Where is your veg and salad?! You must eat more of this. You should know this from previous Bootcamps!

OP posts:
BIWI · 23/05/2017 19:58

If you're a vegetarian, you can have nuts and seeds - check out vegetarian Bootcamp rules on the spreadsheet.
