Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Breakfast was a bit late today but was ff yoghurt with some vanilla
Lunch tuna with lots of mayo, peppers and cucumber to scoop it up with and some cheese sticks.
Dinner is going to be breakfast for dinner so sausages, bacon, mushrooms and eggs cooked in butter with some leftover roasted broc on the side.

Lots of coffee and lots of water today.

WeldMeDaphne · 23/05/2017 16:51

Urgh- I'm actually ill today (snotty, cough, a real delight), and as a result I'm not massively hungry (everything. Just tastes kinda weird). Had yoghurt w/ cream at breakfast and was planning on making a mushroom and spinach omelette when I got home (lots of butter), but feel like I'll still be too low on calories. Will this be a huge issue? Could do some chicken and veg as well I suppose

wombattoo · 23/05/2017 17:00

Hello everyone.
Good to read we are all getting on so well Grin

@SayrraT thanks for the extra rows.

Everyone should now be on the spreadsheet and/or weights added. If I have missed anyone, please post again and I will sort it.

TheVicar You are on the s/s but you didn't post your weight. If you don't want to declare it and can't manage it yourself, you can send me a pm. Smile

Cherrypi · 23/05/2017 17:03

Celery has arrived yay. Currently eating it with mayonnaise. Will try those cheese crackers another time though. Thanks. Rejected my 0% total yoghurt substitute.

MOIST · 23/05/2017 17:04

Something extraordinary just happened?

I couldn't' finish a meal Shock

I got up at 4. Had eaten what I had planned for 'breakfast' before I went to bed. So just chopped some pak choi, chard and spinach, stir feted in butter and chucked in a spoonful of ricotta.

And I couldn't finish it!!!!! Shock. Is this a 'thing''? With hflc?

HemanOrSheRa · 23/05/2017 17:07

Ooh Peng you have just reminded me - we can have full cooked breakfasts. Yay! Which are the best low carb sausages? Is it Heck 97% GF? I can get some excellent sausages from our local butcher as well Smile.

wombattoo · 23/05/2017 17:22

MOIST yes it is. You will feel more satiated on this way of eating Smile

MOIST · 23/05/2017 17:23

Extraordinary.

wombattoo · 23/05/2017 17:28

It's the fat dontcha know Wink

Veryflummoxed · 23/05/2017 17:30

Wow. Every time I think I've got to the end of the thread another few posts spring up. Love reading how well everyone's doing and for those who are struggling 🌻🌷🌸💐 KOKO (keep on keeping on) it all gets easy quite quickly.

Today I had
B. Full fat Greek yogurt
Lunch belly pork and buttered sprouts, broccoli cauliflower. (All leftovers)
D. Hm asparagus soup. Bolognaise sauce with dressed leaves.

Moist I couldn't finish either. Appetite definitely decreases though I find it varies from day to day.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/05/2017 17:37

@wombattoo, thanks for updating the spreadsheet and for making everything clearer for us all.

I couldn't update from my phone so downloaded the app and noticed that I had to login to use it. Just wondering if you can see my gmail account name?

Sorry, I tend to be a bit specific about privacy and am wondering if I should create another gmail account for this (that doesn't include my actual name Blush).

And if I do, of course I'll have to swing by and give you a brain bleach as well. Grin

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/05/2017 17:40

D. Hm asparagus soup. Bolognaise sauce with dressed leaves.

Her Majesty has her own asparagus soup? Fascinating. Wink

explodingkittens · 23/05/2017 17:43

I feel pretty proud of myself today. At a catered event for work all day, which meant sandwiches, crisps, fruit and fruit juice on offer. Plus, my colleagues had brought in snacks (more crisps, biscuits and croissants/pain au choc) and baked salted caramel brownies. This spread was hanging around all day while we worked, smelling divine.

I had some cocktail sausages, a few slices of cheese (and 4 strawberries) and at lunch when everyone was tucking into the carbs, I went out and bought some roast lamb and salad from the market it was vile and reminded me I really don't like lamb

I also had a creamy coffee, several glasses of water and two cups of tea. So, whilst not perfect, I consider that a win!

It is getting easier and easier to say no to the sweet stuff. I won't deny that the brownies did beckon once or twice, but reminding myself how transient the enjoyment of sugar-laden food is, compared to the many good side effects of not eating it, seems to be finally working.

BIWI · 23/05/2017 17:43

@styledilemma - not really; they contain sugar. If you're worried about your electrolyte balance, far better to re-balance through drinking a hot drink made from Oxo/Marmite/Bovril - other foods that are really good are salmon, avocado, spinach and full fat yoghurt.

If you're really suffering from carb withdrawal, and you really don't think you can get through it, try having a slice of wholemeal bread (just one!).

But best, if you can, to ride it out - it really won't last for long.

styledilemma · 23/05/2017 17:45

explodingkittens, you did well to avoid all that temptation.

ragz134 · 23/05/2017 17:46

Sorry to see so many suffering with carb flu, hoping it goes soon. I didn't get it but I tend to do intermittent fasting so my body adjusted to being without carb fuel a few years ago and seems to find it easy now.

Breakfast - olives, Gouda and sundried tomatoes pack from sainsburys. Not too many tomatoes, thankfully.
Lunch - pulled pork, carrot and humous packs from tesco. Didn't eat all the carrots as they weren't that nice and not worth the carbs, but I needed fibre.
Dinner - meatballs in tomato sauce with mozzarella, served with stir fried broccoli stalks (the broccoli had gone yellow).

Just read Michael Moseley's gut diet book, very interesting.

Veryflummoxed · 23/05/2017 17:47

Clear eyes. But very generously left a portion for meSmile

styledilemma · 23/05/2017 17:48

I was in a cafe today and asked if I could have cream with my coffee instead of milk and they looked at me as if I had two heads.
It's surprising the number of places that don't do cream with coffee. Only milk.
To me, milk goes with tea, as they are both thin liquids, so compliment each other.,
Whereas coffee is rich and deserves something rich to go with it. ie cream.

Maybe I should carry my own cream with me. Now that would be crazy Grin

styledilemma · 23/05/2017 17:50

Thanks BIWI.

I like marmite and Oxo, so I will have a hot drink of that. I haven't had Bovril for years!
That's going on the shopping list.

Sunborn · 23/05/2017 17:52

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet at 10 stone 8 please?

B: two hard boiled eggs
L: packet of chicken
D: natural yogurt

Asmoto · 23/05/2017 17:57

Breakfast - Longley Farm full fat plain yoghurt
Lunch - Longley Farm full fat cottage cheese with chives
Dinner - Creamed mushrooms with a hint of curry
Snack - Handful of grated cheddar cheese and half a slice of ham (proper ham, not processed).

Not missing bread, crisps or chocolate at all and have never been a fan of biscuits - but I could murder a can of cold baked beans Grin

imustbepatient · 23/05/2017 18:09

Quick post before my stupid iPad crashes again.

B: didn't manage to get anything as had to race out the door a bit more hurried than expected. But I usually 16:8 and don't eat breakfast anyway so my body is used to that, I didn't feel hungry till lunch
L: divine salad with bacon, avocado and a couple of cherry tomatoes, which I liberally dressed with olive oil and apple cider vinegar and salt
D: will be courgetti with garlic, prawns and some cream mixed with soft cheese as the sauce

I've also had a cup of marigold organic boullion to stave off carb flu as I could feel it coming on. I feel better now.

A bit low on water so far today as I spent the morning in a pool helping with DD1's class swimming lessons and then the afternoon on a school trip, neither of which were condusive to glugging down the water. I'm making up for it now though (bit worried that my autocorrect kept putting fluffing instead of glugging)

Hope everyone is enjoying the delicious food on this WOE!

dustmotesinthesun · 23/05/2017 18:14

Not put my weight in on the spreadsheet as no scale here. I thought I would have one by yesterday but that's fallen through. So will just keep on weighing intermittently

JuniorMint · 23/05/2017 18:19

Thank you for adding me on to the spreadsheet Flowers

Yesterday:
B: Some cheddar cheese
L: Mushroom soup
Tea: Large salad of spinach leaves, cucumber, raw mushrooms, grated cheese, mayo and pine nuts

Today:
B: Whole avocado
Snack: babybel (this just autocorrected to baby sloth... Grin)
L: "picky" plate of slices of cheese (mozzarella and cheddar), slices of cucumber, cheese and chive dip, pine nuts
Tea: Omlette with two eggs, mushrooms and spinach that has been fried in butter, and cheese.

Also been drinking water and not eating later than 6pm, at a push 6.30.

Am I right in thinking nuts are ok on bootcamp in moderation if you're a vegetarian?

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/05/2017 18:22

@Veryflummoxed

Clear eyes. But very generously left a portion for me

I hear she's lovely. And clearly likes LCHF eating. Wink
