So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Carby twatdom is genius. So using that from now on!

Captain..your first bad day since January? Don't beat yourself up. It happens. It's impressive it's taken you this long t9 have a bad day.

Bibs others might think differently but I say carry on as if it never happened except drink more water and try to go for a walk. I think if you deprive yourself, you're more at risk of swinging back into overeating. Best to remind your brain that you get lots of lovely delicious things to eat on this woe

Bibs2014 · 27/04/2017 17:29

My fridge is full of lovely low carb stuff, I'll carry on but am fully expecting a beating from BIWI's big stick Shock

Bibs2014 · 27/04/2017 17:30

Captain I'm super impressed with your 110 days! I slipped after 4 days Blush

marioncole · 27/04/2017 18:34

Very impressive greengoose 👍

I'm having a sneaky gin and slimline tonic.

Bibs2014 · 27/04/2017 18:56

Can you eat strawberries and cream on this WOE?

CaptainBraandPants · 27/04/2017 19:08

Ah, gig Grin DH is deserting us for most of Saturday for one of those.
Bibs from my recent experience I think it is best just to carry on like it never happened. I You will have carb cravings, so if you cut back, I you will struggle more. And yes, strawberries and cream for a treat.
Thanks also dust and Bibs for your kind words.

MiniCooperLover · 27/04/2017 20:11

Chicken with cream cheese wrapped in Palma ham and a side salad drizzles in olive oil with mayo for dinner, delicious !!

Bibs2014 · 27/04/2017 20:36

Thanks everyone for being so supportive and understanding!

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 28/04/2017 05:40

derxa I was your weight last January 2016, now around 15st.

Said to myself I was going to be serious about getting some weight off and will do 100 days of concentrated effort.
Counted down the days so day 1 of 100 day 1 of 99 .. until day 1 of 1.
Every day I didn't break the "no cheating on day 1" rule I put money in a pot for the party I was going to have. Well I ended up buying a bike. when you see the cash amount we drink after just 100 days it is very sobering.

Went on holiday and Christmas partying from Nov to Jan put on 30lb
now 110 days later am down to 15stone again.

You can do it,

Hesdead tell your parents you lost loads of weight, following the Banting food guidelines by doctors and profs.... Noakes , Fung and all those guys you read and told us about. Especial mention that it is based on the 1863 diet of William Banting. So no FAD 150+ years.

derxa · 28/04/2017 05:43

Thanks for replying Grah Today's another day Grin

Hesdeadjim · 28/04/2017 06:58

Grah0SoontobeaFatty I will if they bring it up. Problem is my mum has a PHD in biochemistry so she loves calories in calories out and thinks cravings and food addiction are a load of rubbish Shock she thinks I'm fat because I lack self control and I'm lazy. Delightful!

DP's gig went well, I ended up having 2 gin and tonics but made what I think were sensible tapas choices:

Halloumi
Lamb meatballs in a tomato sauce
King prawns in a tomato sauce
Feta and olives

Also had a few roasted peanuts Blush

Feel rough this morning so either I'm now a total light weight or I went over my carbs.

Tonight I have a work social, we're off to a comedy club but there's pizza and beer at the office first.

My plan is to save half my lunch and re-heat it to eat while the pizza is in the office and that should then keep me going until midnight/ 1am when I'll get home.

I had such a strong meal plan this week and I've ended up eating out/ doing other things 3 nights! Sad

BIWI · 28/04/2017 07:47

@Hesdeadjim - it's tough, isn't it? But this is the reality that we all have to deal with - things will come up, along the way, that we have to deal with. Sometimes we'll navigate them perfectly, other times it's just not possible. Go with the flow, and enjoy it.

Grah - good idea about doing the 100 day countdown!

dustmotesinthesun · 28/04/2017 11:30

Hesdead that sounds tough. But if she's a biochemist might she be more open to reading some of the info you've found? The film Fed Up on Netflix is good too.

I hate hate hate the idea that if you're overweight you just need to eat less and move more. The calorie theory just falls apart once you look into it. It was an absolute revelation when i got into this woe and realised it was so much more complex. It's got rid of a lot of shame for me.

Hesdeadjim · 28/04/2017 11:47

dust I know exactly what you mean about the shame, when I accepted that I've been struggling metabolically for years and I probably just cant tolerate carbohydrate rich diets as well as others, it was a lovely freeing moment for me. It was like I'd accepted I was just a weak person and that's why i was fat rather than actually I just hadn't worked out what my body needed to stay healthy.

The weight loss is a lovely side effect of that realisation and although I'm obviously hoping to drop the weight by the wedding in a years time, it's lovely to know that the inevitability of re-gaining the weight isn't there for me. As far as I'm concerned, this is how I eat and if I dont want to get to 19st 1 again, it's how I'll continue to eat my whole life.

ragz134 · 28/04/2017 12:15

Yes yes yes to this is how we eat now. Obviously I will have carbs again, just not 3 times a day every day! I probably won't go back to pasta and bread as I don't like them that much, but the odd potato will make an appearance. I enjoy this way of eating now, it has become a habit.
Breakfast/lunch today was chopped chipolatas fried with kale and served with scrambled egg. Delicious.
Dinner will be another stroganoff. With more kale!

dustmotesinthesun · 28/04/2017 12:41

I love kale. It's so tasty isn't it? Kipper for lunch here having had boiled eggs and veg for breakfast

dustmotesinthesun · 28/04/2017 13:16

That would be kipper with wild garlic pesto and mayo

NOM

I hope everyone on mn is feeling sorry for us over in our little corner of the site. I mean, I don't know about all of you but I feel so deprived Wink

marioncole · 28/04/2017 13:45

OMG I've just made mayonnaise from scratch. It's a struggle to stop myself eating it straight from the jar.

FinallyHere · 28/04/2017 14:32

Mmmm, yes, me too, a big fan of homemade mayonnaise here. Especially with tarragon served with fresh crab meat. Nom, Nom.

Bibs2014 · 28/04/2017 16:23

A good day for me so far - pancetta and spinach omelette for breakfast. Lunch was at a friend's - she did halloumi, chorizo, fried egg, houmous, salad and bread - I didn't touch the bread. And I refused cake for pudding Grin

Hesdeadjim · 28/04/2017 16:39

I fucking hate my job today Sad

Jim. I would probably have them with chicken , veg and soy sauce. I have tried some similar ones for. Ocado and they were okay- still have some left in the cupboard as I forgot about them.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 28/04/2017 17:31

Hesdeadjim

I rip the cheese off and only eat the topping, throw the soggy bread in the bin, keep the crust looks like you've eaten. If someone asks say it's too wet.
