So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Not had any Halo

On the coach to a comedy club now so I'm passed the danger Grin

@JimBullardBullard they work really well in Asian-type soups or stir-fries. There's at least one recipe on the recipe thread.

In extremis, I've made a carbonara with them, although the texture isn't quite like spaghetti. And last night I had some wider/flatter noodles (that I bought from our local Chinese supermarket) with bolognese sauce.

greengoose Bloody well done on reaching your target. I am so very pleased for you Thanks

dustmotesinthesun · 28/04/2017 18:29

Hesdead just think how shit your colleagues will feel for eating all that crap. Yuck!

Zero carb noodles I mostly like in something like Pho. Anything Asian really. The texture is definitely a little weird. I've only had a couple of packets but I liked a few mouthfuls with the meal. They finished it off nicely. Try to eat a large amount of them and I started to notice the taste and texture more and it's not pleasant. I prefer zoodles.

If you eat them drink lots too. Like flax bread they can cause you gastro-intestinal problems if you don't and occasionally that can be serious. You don't want a blockage!

marioncole · 28/04/2017 18:45

Ooh I didn't know there was such a thing as a low carb noodle. We eat lots of noodle soup.

Bibs2014 · 28/04/2017 18:46

Wow hesdeadjim, well impressed with your willpower!

Had Nando's for dinner with salad Smile

BIWI · 28/04/2017 19:42

You can also buy them in Sainsbury's (probably other supermarkets as well), under the brand name Bare Naked Noodles

I came across this piece about gut health today, which is interesting - especially about artificial sweeteners. That was something I didn't know.

Another half a pound off!

BIWI · 29/04/2017 07:57

In my Sainsbury's they're in the aisle with Chinese/Indian foods, opposite where the dry pasta is also stocked.

They definitely don't need to be kept in the fridge!

I weighed myself again today. I was so cheesed off going from 11st 6 four weeks ago to 11st 10 two weeks ago and it was really nerve wracking looking at what it was today. But I thought, even if my scale is all over the place I need to keep an eye on what it's doing. I need to prevent carb creep and all that.

Anyway, I'm back at 11st 6. So woo hoo! It's all a bit baffling and god knows what I'll be next time, but given I was 13st 2 18 months ago, I'll take this and be pleased with it. My head is so full of the thought I can't lose weight and this is clear evidence I can. I'm going to hang onto that when I wobble. It just needs to start going down now.

ragz134 · 29/04/2017 13:09

Well done dust that's great that the gain has gone. I have lost about 23lbs since January but the last six weeks I've been up and down the same 4lbs and it is driving me crazy. Need to push on past this and reach a new low weight, but I'm proud of myself just for still being here and you should be too. We can do this!

CaptainBraandPants · 29/04/2017 13:39

I have just had scrambled eggs on toast - flax bread toast. It was lovely and very filling.
Had to come and post about it as it was so nice. Grin
Going to catch up on the thread now.

thenightsky · 29/04/2017 13:40

Hit the milestone of bang on 11 stone this week. I'm sooo happy that I'm going out bikini shopping now Grin

CaptainBraandPants · 29/04/2017 13:54

Grah The 100 day idea is brilliant.
Hesdead If your Mum is a biochemist, then point her to all the evidence for LC, as you have seen yourself, it is very convincing. When I did my first BC, I gave BIWI a bit of a hard time as I wasn't convinced (am a HCP), but after reading and researching it - and of course, doing it, I am a total convert now. Maybe you can convince your Mum. Well done for avoiding pizza hell. I'm getting quite adept at shamelessly eating the top off a pizza or the filling from a sandwich. First few times, I felt a bit daft and thought people would comment, but they never have. I think people are a lot less interested than we sometimes think or are inwardly judging me
dust Yes, we are totally deprived, aren't we? Grin Well done for going back down.
I've never tried the carb free noodles as I remember the BC where several people had them and were then in agony with bloating and cramps afterwards. It kinda put me off. From what I can gather, the trick is not to eat too many and drink lots of water.
Bibs well done.
Ragz yes, well done for still being here, too. I know I've had a bit of carb creep, do you think you have, too?
night well done, I'm inching closer to 10st 13.8lbs which is one of my next targets. Can't wait to tell myself I'm 10st something. Grin. bet you will rock the bikini.

I've been back on track for 3 and a half days now and the 2 lbs I put on has gone, so feeling positive agin. Also, went for a run this morning. I'm doing C25K and have done week four 5-6 times, but have only managed to do the last 5 minute run interval the last three times, so can move up to week 5 now. Smile

Bibs2014 · 29/04/2017 14:51

Well done dust and inthenightsky!!

Bibs2014 · 29/04/2017 14:52

Fab news on the running, captain Smile

BIWI · 29/04/2017 15:09

I know others reported digestive issues with the noodles, but I have to say it's not something I've ever suffered. I don't eat them that often - possibly once every 3 weeks or so? - but they are a really good cupboard standby. And they come into their own if you want to make some kind of stir-fry/Asian soup. Whenever I roast a chicken, I always make stock from the carcass, and use that to make the soup, along with fresh coriander, mint, chilli, ginger and garlic.

dustmotesinthesun · 29/04/2017 15:14

That sounds delicious

And oh i can't wait to see 10 stone something on the scales. You'll hear the screaming when I do. 6 pounds to go.

StuntNun · 29/04/2017 15:37

These might be useful, especially if travelling: individual coconut oil sachets

ragz134 · 29/04/2017 15:46

Lunch today was shepherds pie with celeriac and cauliflower topping. Supper will be Brazil nuts and halloumi, as I am on a twilight shift and have decided it is really best not to eat at 10:30 when I get home - tried it the last two shifts and it made me too bloated. I will just have a small packed supper and drink plenty. I do have a lidl protein roll which I am tempted to take half of with me to eat with the halloumi as it's rather salty (I fried it up just now). Haven't tried the protein rolls yet (took me weeks to realise they are in the loose bakery section not in packets) - are they really carby?
