Right it's time to get back in the low carb saddle. I basically follow boot camp rules. That works very well for me. I find getting into ketosis hard so making my public declaration of intent here. Planning to weigh and measure shortly.

So I'm starting today. Whingeing about carb flu all the way. Join me

Oh no wait I'm getting confused it's my almond milk that says low carb, that's what I had in my shake this morning

NotdeadyetBOING · 28/01/2017 12:07

I sometimes add MCT oil to my protein shake w almond milk. I think far more palatable than cream - and no carb as opposed to low carb….

Bibblewanda · 28/01/2017 12:44

I looove cream, I could drink it Smile

What is MCT oil?

NotdeadyetBOING · 28/01/2017 13:02

I can't remember why it's supposed to be so good, but remember reading something somewhere suggesting it was even better than coconut oil so just slavishly bought some.

Sign up thread for the next Bootcamp is here Starting 6 February.

RupertsMum2 · 28/01/2017 18:38

I definitely plan to join the new bootcamp thread. I'm currently on day 13 of this WOE following the bootcamp rules so I'm not sure whether to move to bootcamp lite from now on, continue with lite for the next 3 weeks or whether to have some berries and flax bread next week and restart bootcamp lite on the 6th with everyone else.

B. Bacon, eggs, mushrooms in butter and a coffee with cream
L. Chicken thigh, green salad, small piece pate, few small prawns, mayo
D. Broccoli in cheese sauce, co-yo
3 cups tea with soya milk and plenty water.

Bibblewanda · 28/01/2017 19:30

Had a bit of a cheat day today as had family over for lunch but didn't do too badly considering.

B protein shake
L fennel fried in butter with tomato and garlic, fried courgette with feta and avocado, tiny piece granary bread. Crustless cheesecake from the low carb revolution book
D salmon, leftover veg from lunch

Veryflummoxed · 28/01/2017 21:49

I can definitely recommend avocado chips. Had them with sausages, dressed leaves and LC coleslaw.

BIWI · 28/01/2017 22:39

How do you make avocado chips?

Veryflummoxed · 29/01/2017 10:20

Sliced avacado wedges. Pan fried in olive oil, I added black pepper. I read it before on a thread as what to do with avacado when you open it and it's hard. May not have been a BC thread.

RupertsMum2 · 29/01/2017 10:53

Day 14! I weighed today as I know I will forget tomorrow. Monday mornings are usually prety hectic. 2lbs down so 9lbs altogether. I'm pleased with that.

B. FF Greek yogurt, coffee with cream, tea with soya milk.
L. Tuna mayo, green salad with mayo, half avocado
D. Roast chicken, courgetti and sprouts in butter

Bibblewanda · 29/01/2017 11:36

I've had another protein shake this morning. And a baby bel. Avocado and scrambled egg for lunch I think.

BrainSaysNo · 29/01/2017 16:37

I was reading this thread, planning next weeks food, and got hungry.
Anyway went to grab some pork scratchings I had seen in the cupboard, thought they smelt funny, checked the date.
BB Jan 2015!!!
My rotation needs some improvement- blaaaaugh.

DearPrudence · 29/01/2017 17:51

Well done Ruperts. 9lbs is a great loss in 2 weeks. Smile

Lucysdiamonds · 29/01/2017 17:57

I weighed myself yesterday and have lost 5 lbs since Monday. I'm struggling and sneaking the odd piece of 85% Lindt chocolate, but will keep going hopefully.

Veryflummoxed · 29/01/2017 20:35

Spicy chicken wings, Dressed salad, Celeriac coleslaw , Avocado chips for dinner.

Starting today - low carb
Aderyn2016 · 29/01/2017 20:40

Been really hungry today. Breakfast was small bowl of raspberries with dessertspoon of whipped cream, followed by 2 slices of rosemary ham. Lunch was big handful of brazil nuts and a slice of smoked cheese. Dinner was chicken and vegetable curry.
I did have a g & slimline t and a square of dark choc and one piece of yorkie. Really fancied a piece of milk choc. Wish I hadn't though because it did not taste nice.

Have also been trying out herbal teas. If anyone was planning to try liquorice, I don't recommend it unless you like the taste of slightly sweet mud Grin

nekobus · 29/01/2017 21:50

Very that looks delicious!! How do you do your spicy wings??

I've had one off-plan meal this weekend as we hosted a burns supper, I tried to provide lots of LC sides so I could fill up on those, haggis isn't terrible (18g/100g) could be worse! but I did have pudding and a lot of wine....

I have one more meal before bootcamp starts where I can't really get out of eating homemade pizza (been invited to friends, but not close enough friends that I could say no to what they are planning to make!!)

I'm looking forward to the discipline that comes with bootcamp, and could definitely do with going hardcore BC for a couple of weeks i.e. no alcohol, nuts, etc. as I think that's my weakness at the moment.

Lucysdiamonds · 30/01/2017 04:12

I was doing so well ... and then I hit a low this evening and started eating milk chocolate Sad I'll get back on the waggon tomorrow hopefully and hope it hasn't done too much damage.

SpudULiked · 30/01/2017 04:27

I think I need this in my life. Im just going to follow you all and get some ideas.

Feeling very lethargic, and unhealthy.

Veryflummoxed · 30/01/2017 05:35

"Neko* Dh uses curry paste. It does have carbs in and they vary. It think it's the madrass one he uses as it's one of the lower ones. Just coats the wings and puts them in the oven.

BIWI · 30/01/2017 07:32

Lucy you've managed to lose 5lbs since Monday, but still you're struggling?! What is it, do you think that makes you want to self-sabotage?

You've proved that this WOE works for you, so why go and undermine all that you've achieved? And why so soon?

Bibblewanda · 30/01/2017 07:39

What is it, do you think that makes you want to self-sabotage

I can't speak for Lucy but in my case it is 100% the lure of sugar.

Lucysdiamonds · 30/01/2017 07:43

I was feeling really down. I tried a low carb snack but all I wanted was sugar Sad I'll try harder tomorrow.

Bibblewanda · 30/01/2017 07:47

I think there's just some times you need something sweet. A piece of cheese or whatever just doesn't always cut it for me.

Last time I did LCHF I lost nearly 3 st without cutting sugar completely so I won't be too religious about it.
